  1. The third paragraph is what I was trying to get at - you put it more succinctly than me!
  2. I liked this draft when it happened. Now I've slept (albeit not for long) on it, I love it now. Think he is exactly what the Bills need. I appreciate the support for Mayer but he's another Knox, and they already have one of those who is paid handsomely. The Bills needed something different and they've got it. Best possible pick available and, at this stage, I don't mind losing 130 to make it happen. In relation to Dorsey getting him involved, that doesn't bother me. I have more confidence in his play calling than most. All-22 etc. showed many occasions where players were available but not used on failed attempts. He has the ability to set up plays where Kincaid is available. My issue with Dorsey is whether he can manage Josh. Because he was either not telling him to take what's available, was not being listened to, or Josh failed to move away from the default big play more often than not when pressured. Hopefully Kincaid can help by building a relationship with Josh over pre season.
  3. I don't think that's strictly true - he started the season doing so, then went away from it. I'm clinging on to the elbow injury being behind it, as I read somewhere that that type of injury has more impact on shorter than longer throws. The only problem is, when supposedly fully healed, he failed to get back into the mindset of taking what's given. Hopefully the break, time with Palmer etc. will help with this.
  4. Wow, so Cowboys switch to a DT.
  5. He'll fit in well here, then.
  6. In fairness, the Cowboys draft room hardly looks thrilled.
  7. At least it's an offensive player, so not overly unhappy. But were the Jags in for a TE too? Is Kincaid that much more higher rated than Mayer?
  8. Bit late now to trade up, isn't it?
  9. Hardly. It was utterly predictable.
  10. Campbell? I swear we thought he'd be there in the second round.
  11. Agreed - if two of the three go then perhaps make a bid to trade up, if they want a WR.
  12. Can you imagine? Yeah, fine, we've picked you as a potential future QB... but preferred a RB at 12.
  13. If Beane selects a defensive player, Josh and Rodgers may start a support group.
  14. Steelers trade with the Pats for 14.
  15. They seem to be trying to make Levis not being picked the story of the night.
  16. Please, no.
  17. Houston trading to three???
  18. So they made what should be Young and Carolina's moment all about the Chiefs. Figures.
  19. Two minutes in... googling where the NFL Draft is being held in 2024 and wishing we were there now.
  20. Evening those in America, morning those in Europe, afternoon those... who are located in a place where it's afternoon. Thanks for the thread. Have been trouble gaining enthusiasm for this year compared to last. But still love the draft. Drinking game every time they mention Mahomes?
  21. Name the first 5 players draft in order (Feel free to name the teams as well for bonus points) Young, Wilson, Anderson, Levis, Richardson How many trades will be in the first round? 3 Will the Bills trade up, back, or stay put? Trade Back Will DHop be traded today? (doesn't mean he is traded for a first round pick). Bonus points to identify the team he is traded to Yes, to the Ravens Who will the Bills pick? No first round pick - Jack Campbell as the Bills' first in the second round How many RB's will go in the first round? 2 How many QB's will go in the first round? 4 Will ESPN cut to commercial if/when the Bills make their selection? No Who will be the biggest reach pick of the draft (Yes, I know this up for debate. Gruden made it so easy with the Raiders) Levis Which college will have the most players selected in the first round? Georgia
  22. Short term gain but potential long term pain for the Jets when it comes to the QB position. If Rodgers gets them to the play offs, at least, in the year before he retires then they won't be in a great place to draft or trade for his replacement. I don't think he's good enough now to win them the SB, which surely must be their plan to trade away as much as they have?
  23. Definitely, as long as the numbers work.
  24. My concern isn't Josh. He said what he said and I believe him. My concern is Diggs. He has done nothing over the post season to quash any concerns over his relationship with either the Bills or Josh and, indeed, went out of his way to present things very carefully in interviews held after the Bengals game to express his annoyance, even to the near point of questioning play calls and execution - the latter being at least partially on Josh. So there was tension, at least from Diggs towards Josh. I believe GunnerBill that Josh may have, to an extent, snapped leading to some reciprocation. I also agree with those that say these things happen between friends who are exceptionally close and Josh has moved on and is over it. Until Diggs comes out with a similar interview I'll continue having doubts as far as he is concerned.
  25. Or he's got nothing - or no one else - to be interested in other than football.
