i used to go when what's her name used to run it(her name escapes me, but she was awesome, she went on to the One Buffalo team where she is doing great things.) I liked McFaddens in NoLibs, it was an effort for me to get there via septa, but it was always a great time and great group. I am not a fan at all of the new place, have been there a couple times for other things and really just don't like the space. I am lucky to have my neighborhood pub set aside a tv for me each week to watch the games.

i actually stopped listening recently, howard's schtick just pushed me over the top, his way of bringing people down so as to make him look superior just really wore on me. as good an interviewer as he is, that too got old. i love JD, Gary, Fred and Richard & Sal, the rest i could do without. Can't stand his love affair with jason ellis, lena dunham and that whole ilk. oh well, he had a good run in my eyes, time to move on

if you like mediterranean/middle eastern food and are lucky enough to have a NafNaf Grill, check them out....they are a chipotle-style format for shwarma, falafels etc...based out of chicago and are entering new markets pretty quickly

if you are in NYC, I assume you have done Other Half & Singlecut, they are making some excellent beers. Going up there for a Yankee Game in a couple weeks and trying to pick 2 must visit breweries in the boroughs. Other Half is probably on that list

between fiddlehead, sip of sunshine, bissel brothers, trillium and tree house, alchemist and hill farmstead are being pushed aside by much better offerings. And if you ever get a chance to get your hands on veil out of richmond, do it. tired hands out of my area(philly area) is also a great catch, but like hill farmstead, they are way too cool for you and i(but damn they make some fine beer)
