  1. Yes snifter style glasses. Got in line at 8am for an 11am tapping. Was about 25th in line, the line never grew past 50, normally it's several hundred in line and only enough for maybe 140 pours. It was weird but I heard the entire younger season releases this year were smaller crowds than usual. But alas, got some and it was excellent
  2. I've been lucky enough to get some every year I've been here in Philly. It's really an outstanding beer. But I've found the events are worth the wait because even if you don't get the Younger they always back it up with an Unreal tap list so one way or another you're getting something pretty spectacular
  3. Looks like the weather will cooperate, gonna do the Pliny the Younger event tomorrow morning. Gonna try to get get in line by 8am, doors open at 11. Don't judge me. If it weren't for beer I'd have no life at all
  4. i'm heading out to Tired Hands to try and get my hands on their latest milkshake release, blueberry pancake milkshake....if you haven't had a tired hands milkshake, you need to, and perhaps i can be of service if i can get my hands on some cans
  5. Yeah I knew it happened, i was there, but then through the years i had heard so many people doubting it, i began doubting myself....but alas, I knew it was true. All these years gone by, i really don't remember the clash, but i was just so happy to be able to see them, my judgement was probably prejudiced. David Johannson on the other hand had really no business being on that bill
  6. I watched Love on Netflix, both seasons...it's a pretty decent show, kind of dark, kind of head scratching at times, but an enjoyable watch

  8. don't fall for buying the 'hacked' firesticks, they usually go for $75 and up....buy a normal firestick and watch youtube videos about installing Kodi on it yourself...it's easy and Kodi has a TON of content
  9. Guy I knew did that a year ago christmas morning, saw him an hour before he did it. Sat down on the track in front of a speeding amtrak, dialed his ex-wifes phone so she could hear it happen. I was never a big fan of his but sad nonetheless
  10. read that yesterday and i believe Boyst may have made reference to her in another thread calling her a 'road scholar' . I honestly don't know how you DON'T hear a train coming...granted at my commuter rail stop, amtrak flies by every so often but you can at least hear it in time to get out the way
  11. if anyone is interested in trying to trade beers, send me a PM with your phone number and real name and we can set up a text group so as to not take up bandwidth here and bore non-beer people.
  12. Free Will does a nice sour. There are others but off the top of my head i can't think of any....let me do some research and get back to you.
  13. i think you have to hit a certain number of posts before you can personalize that...
  14. all you guys with these great beers...if anyone wants to trade regional beers let me know, we have some great beers here in philly that don't go outside of the area, i know there are richmonders that can get access to the answer and veil, it would be great to get some trading going on
  15. let's all take a step back here, we can all agree that we don't see eye to eye with everyone, but this isn't appropriate to slam people without them being here to defend themselves, let's reminisce about previous posters, let's not drag it down in the mud. We are going to get this thread closed and it doesn't need to be. Nothing wrong with good ball breaking but some of this has started to go into the gutter. That said, feel free to blast Beerball, he deserves everything he has coming to him

  17. pretty sure that is my worst thing too.....
  18. I get that...i guess in my case, i don't watch much 'live tv' outside of sports(which knock on wood, kodi or espn3 hasn't let me down yet). I have no problem watching Goldbergs or Blackish at my leisure.

  20. depends on how you want to watch...if you can be a day or 2 behind, you should be able to find most anything on Kodi. I know that's how I watch shows like shameless. I just wait for the next day to watch it. as far as live sports goes, yeah it can be a bit annoying finding a good stream, but to save $150+ a month, i'm almost to the point of finding it well worth it. Also look into getting netflix or amazon prime or hulu, DO NOT RUIN MY WELL THOUGHT OUT ARGUMENT YOU DAMN STINKING COMMIE!!!!!!!!
  21. i refused to do that for any of mine...figured they weren't gonna give me a break on the hospital bill for doing their job so figured i'd let them, much like i don't do the self checkouts at the grocery store...i am not there to do their work
  22. That was a hell of a tour didn't see any of that years tour, I saw the previous year in Rochester, but the Crimson, White and Indigo release from 89 is among my all time favorite Dead shows(i think Blow Away from that show might be my singular favorite live dead song of all time), Brent was absolutely killing it that summer!
  23. guy at work just got rid of verizon in favor of the directtv now....you don't need any dishes or anything. a high def antennae will bring in any local channels, there are different tiers, he went with the $30 option, so far so good he says, he was watching ncaa games on trutv last night. plus i think he got a free apple tv device
