Anyone notice on the kneel down that Josh was not under center (full house??)..

I am guessing that was because Morse was out or because of the fumbled snap earlier in the year at the 1 yard line, or both.

Miami had no timeouts so taking extra time off the clock wasn't it.

Just found it interesting and new..

Yes, I saw that, and it concerned me.

Typically, the shot gun snap is tougher than the hands under center snap.   That was unusual, especially in cold, wet, and snow.

Another reason the defense is not looking good is the lack of interceptions and big plays.  Fourth down stops I don't count and fumbles are really 50/50 propositions (unless strip sacks).

Face it a little lucky vs. NYJ, but would be nice to get an int and give the offense a short field.

Defense not looking good?   Coming into the game they held the Pats* to 10 and the Jets to 12 - with Von Miller and other key players out of the lineup/

    Very illogical logic in bold.

Our defense is not perfect, but it is one of the better ones in the league.

    Hi fellas.

I would like to ask you this:

have you been a little disappointed that we didn’t destroyed Miami like maybe everybody was thinking this past week ?

I mean, obviously it was a great, huge, fundamental win for our season, in a comeback way… but the fact that in this kind of weather we won just at the last second, it was a little irritating or not at all ?

Winning at the last second it’s always a pleasure, especially against the hated fish, but burning them in a blowout would have been a strong signal also, to the entire League.

    Don’t you think ? What’s your take ?

I think that coming from behind, dominating the 4th quarter, keeping them off the field, and just winning the game is the best way to deflate their team and their weak-minded fan base.

The weather was not a factor all day.  It was even more dramatic and fun to see us dominate once the snow started to fall.  The snow globe celebration scene was a perfect ending

Regardless of your thoughts whether he should have scored the TD, it was an absolutely bonehead play to go down short of the first.

The first down was irrelevant, we had enough downs and a time out to control the clock, which we did do perfectly.   He probably could not see the marker.

The issue is do you take the 6 or do you make the snapper snap, the holder hold, and the kicker kick in snowy, slippery conditions.  The last play was not a gimme due to the field and weather conditions.

I’ve always liked him. His approach was sometimes antagonistic but it seemed to create balance and well-rounded conversation in the grand scheme.

He was let go by the BN and now he sits in a basement with two knuckleheads doing some low-grade podcast.  He has no inside information on the team or the league.

You might like his contrarian point of view, but I don't get the uproar on twitter.  Cancelling Jerry Sullivan is like cancelling nothing.  The opposite is happening, and he is getting the attention he seeks.

  6. The offense is still one of the best in the NFL as evidenced by its 6th in scoring ranking, but it does appear to be slipping in production as the season progresses.

There is a lack of big play talent after Allen and Diggs.   I think the OL is a very mediocre group and the source of many problems.  A stronger line would improve the running game and give Allen more time to find a receiver.  Much of the Bill's success on offense comes from Allen improvising and making plays.

The WR group is average, mostly because Davis has not progressed as a #2, and there is no effective replacement for Beasley in the slot.   Knox seems to be an afterthought most games.   The backup TEs are not good, and we get little production from the running backs with the exception of Motor (some games).

How much of this regression is related to the Rookie OC Dorsey and his planning?  I don't know but certainly some.

Still, this offense is very good and with Allen at the helm it can be great on any given week.

Right now, I would say that the defense is the stronger unit and has more depth to deal with injuries.

After beating the Jets today the Bills are 10-3 and in the lead in the AFCE and sitting as the #1 seed in the AFC.  If you had taken a poll here at the start of the season and asked if we would take those stats heading into week 15 of the season, I think it would be 80/20 in favor of it.

Recognizing the Bills are sitting in a very good position right now, why does it feel like this has been a really rough season?

Maybe it's the constant parade of injuries?  The bad loses to the Phins, Jets, and Vikings?  Maybe the fact that we haven't seen the Bills' offense find that gear that they ended the season in last season?  Or maybe it's because the Bills have left themselves no room for error going forward if they want to win the division and the #1 seed?

I'm not complaining about where the BIlls are sitting at right now, I just imagined 10-3 would feel a whole lot better than it does.

    It's called high expectations.

Those three terrible losses were by a combines 8 points.  This team is really good and has not peaked yet.

  8. I will always take the Dub.

Offense - Allen made the plays that were needed.  Good game by Knox.  Would like to see more Diggs and Davis.  Would really like to see this team run better.   It will be needed for home games.   Gotta do better closing out games by getting first downs. Jets DL was tough to handle.

ST - Bass made some big kicks in the rain.  Punt block was disappointing.

Defense - another fine job overall.  Milano was huge again.  Lots of people complaining about 3rd and long but the bottom line is they gave up only 10 points and got a few big turnovers too.

He took some shots at Buffalo when/after he left. I'll never be a fan of his again, but if re-signing him gives us a better chance to win the SB, then get it done.

You won't be a fan of his, but you will agree to sign hm to help us win.??

That says a lot about you.

  10. Edmunds is one of the guys that other teams coaches talk about when the talk about our defense being tough to play against.   Fans that complain about splash plays must not watch the game in detail.  Who else that big can cover as much field as Edmunds?

If he becomes a FA, it will be a mistake.  Pay the man.  Find a way Beaner.

Edit: after looking at some of the salary numbers the most likely way that we keep him is if he stays at a discount to the market.  Will he stay to win championships with Buffalo?

It may not matter if we want to sign him but simply cannot.

  11. Look back at the NE game, at the pass he missed in the end zone at the end of the game - he was led a bit too far, so I am not going to critique that.  What is noteworthy is that the announcer said it was the same route that Diggs ran and scored on, he said something like "same route as Diggs, only not run as well".

He does a good job on long routes in getting in good position and using his size.  Davis needs a lot more work getting open on short and medium routes.  He will get more targets and be more useful if he can take that step.

Idk about ya’ll but I was excited about the additional of Nyheim Hines.

It seems they’ve slowly, and finally started to work him into the game plan. He was heavily involved early, and then McKenzie started to take over those snaps.

It seemed like every sweep, handoff, or target was sniffed out, or went no where. I wonder if there was some sort of formation tell, or they keyed into him based on personnel or usage, but it just flat out stunk.

I’m not a huge McKenzie guy, but age again had a solid game.

Im kind of over this trade. Let him return kicks and get touches here and there, and revisit this in the off-season.

Singletary is my guy. Let’s let him and Cook take it the rest of the way.

    Experiment?   Over the trade?

What were you expecting?  The next Thurman Thomas?    He is a role player, and his role right now is KR/PR/spot RB.

He’s not different. He’s terrible. But as an extra OL he doesn’t have to do much.

I don't get these comments.   He has carved out a role as the extra lineman in running situations and gets important reps with the offense - and when called upon he has done well.   Not one guy in that locker room, coach or player, would argue that.

Hart is not a starter we all get that.  But he is vet that can fill most OL positions and has contributed this year.

    Look past the obvious.

That is so weird to me.

For majority of the season (since week 2) we have had multiple injuries on the defense side of the ball (some offense) and now that we are actually healthier, minus a DE and OT, now we only have a "chance" against a 6-5 team.  Plus We just had 2 games in 4 days with major issues with Snow fall causing panic/concerns with family as well.

I do think losing Dawkins hurts, how could it not, losing Miller hurts, but he isn't an every down player.  So to me it hurts some.

but we got back some talent which we have been missing for several weeks.

We also have a healthier Josh considering he was able to rest more in between games.

I don't get the doom and gloom.

Edit: we need to stop being scared of the patriots. they are 6-5 for a reason.

I think the doom and gloom comes from all the illnesses, injuries, missed practices, and from playing 3 games in 12 days.

Here is to beat the Pats* and then 9 days between the next game - heal and prep for the big run.
