I'm rather amused at all the people who think Keon Coleman is slow. Dude plays at speed. He had the fastest speed of anyone during the gauntlet drill in the past 2 years at the combine, which reflects actual play speed much more than the 40 does. He was even faster than Puka Nacua last year.

Did anyone actually go and watch his 40? Dude's simply not a track star. He started slow because coming out of his stance, he popped up instead of bursting forward. If he had spent more time on the track with someone who knew what they were doing, and could help him with a better start out of his stance, spending time fixing an issue that in no way actually relates to football, he likely would have shaved AT LEAST 0.1 seconds off, likely more. And no one would be talking about him being slow. But they look at that number, decide he's slow, and ignore everything else, especially his play speed.

He LOOKS slow when he's running because his legs don't seem to be moving as fast as you're used to, but when he's trying to outrun people, his stride lengthens, and with his long legs, every one of his strides eats up distance, and he covers ground at a surprising rate.

Because get mesmerized with what they read on the internet.  Coleman game speed is plenty fast.   His size, strength and athletic ability is off the charts.

Several scouts had him as the 5th WR in the draft.

Beane has a real tendency for a certain type of player.

Ray Davis is a  Zack Moss clone

Coleman isn't too far off from Kelvin Benjamin and Devin Funchess.

None of those guys panned out.

Seems Beane consistently under values speed in skill players.  I was hoping we'd come out of this draft faster and more explosive on O, but instead it's more of the usual.

Coleman would have been a decent replacement for Gabe. Similar skill set. Is Samuel supposed to be the Diggs replacement? Hard to see us being better on offense.

Or defense for that matter. They don't seem to have a vision or plan for getting better than the Chiefs. Feels like a reset year.

Just curious, how many games have you watched that Coleman and Davis played in?  Davis is a much different runner and Coleman will surprise you.

Feels like a reset year because it is - Diggs, Davis, Morse, Poyer, Hyde, Williams and Floyd are all gone.  We are taking a $30M+ cap hit on Diggs so there was no room for free agent help, and little room for trades.   You cannot replace all these guys in one draft, especially when you pick 28 out of 32.

The vision and plan is to still compete and win games while retooling - so getting younger, and better, and building cap space for the future.

Rest will be depth and camp fodder. However this finishes up, we got a starting WR, S, and C which were arguably our three biggest needs. Plus we got rotational depth at DT and RB which were also needs. Beane went need early and often but this was a year where we needed to do that.

Benford was a 6th rounder.   Milano a 5th.   You never know what else he can find.

He may be the best RB in the draft.  Beane is 100% need-shopping in this draft - it is what it is, he has zero job pressure.  Good players but I question the value.

I question all the questioning of value.  Hard to judge value when you don't see a teams scouting reports, grades, etc.   Value is a Kiper word.

Getting good players is what this is about.

Mel Kiper is one of the better media draft gurus but he has never been a scout for an NFL team.  He is good for entertainment.

I’m fine stockpiling.  He’ll use them to move back up in rounds 2 and 3 most likely.  But the Chiefs trade is just killing me.  Mostly because it shows that my biggest fear is warranted: there is no serious owner running this franchise.  It’s autopilot.

You don’t want Terry Pegula running this.  Look at the Sabres and be happy that Beane is here.

I think the Bills sit this one out.  The only attention they will receive for putting out an RIP type statement is negative attention.

Do you think OJ will be excluded from the wall of fame in the new stadium?

    I do.

When OJ had his 2003 yard season I cut out and pasted in a notebook each week’s Bills stories from the Courier Express and Buffalo News.

Will there be a moment of silence or an OJ patch on the jersey?

    I would think not.

     It is just too awkward.

Anybody else remember how Diggs dropped a perfect bomb from Allen in the 4th quarter against KC, and then on the most crucial play of the game Allen ignored his #1 receiver who was open underneath to try and get the ball to Shakir?

Yeah...all was not peaches and cream between Josh and Diggs...

    Onward and upward!

Yes. Those memories are fresh.  I’ll take Allen over Diggs any day.

Losing Diggs is addition by subtraction.

    A 2025 2nd round pick!

    Beane got had.

This is all to placate McD's fragile ego.

This is really stupid move for this year.

Only way Beane recovers from this is to mortgage multiple picks to move up and get one of the top 3 WR.

Sad sad day when you chose the loser HC over the guy that was the heart and soul of the team for years.

You keep repeating this terrible take.

Diggs is not, and never was ,the heart and soul of anything.  He wanted out.  He is a selfish problem child.

McDermott is worth far more to the Bills and has done more to  establish the Bills as a legitimate powerhouse than Diggs has.

I wish we got more in return.  It says a lot about how Diggs is perceived in the NFL.  He is not a deep threat and he disappeared last season.

Seems a bit strange, first of all the timing,  but more importantly they already have a terrific punter in Townsend. So unless they are releasing him for salary issues this signing makes little sense

We should bring their punter in for a look.  He was great in the playoffs and SB.
