Pretty confident that the results the NFL is getting with their referees is exactly what they are hoping to achieve. I would encourage you to just accept that the NFL has their reasons for not "fixing" your perceived issue and enjoying the product for what it is.

After all, if the NFL felt that it was a problem, they would make dramatic changes. Year after year, they do not.

One can speculate as to why the NFL disagrees with your assessment, but it may have to do with their classification as "sports entertainment", a designation shared most notably with the modern WWE.

It can never be improved?  It is always fair and correct?  Just accept it?

This kind of thought would have kept us sleeping on the ground in caves.

IF your not improving and getting better, then you are getting worse.

  2. Good first game.  He did well against a tough defense.  It took some pressure off that the Jets Offense is terrible and those early stalled drives did not come back to haunt.

I like the way they used the RBs - Cook, Johnson and Murray

I liked the use of TE's - Kincaid was excellent and they even targeted Morris

I liked going to Shakir  - maybe he emerges as the #2 in Brady's offense?

Josh looked like he was having fun  - look he can run and slide too.

One game, good start.  Philly will be tougher next week.

What’s insanely frustrating about the Bills offense lack of consistency is that the individual components along with the key additions are all playing better than last season or have added a lot. There also isn’t much regression if any from established players.

Spencer Brown last season was one of the worst RT’s in the league. This year he has been a lot better. McGovern and Torrence have played much better than the guards last season. Dawkins is even playing slightly better.

James Cook is playing better and Murray has been a productive addition. Shakir has come on strong and Kincaid has been a major positive.

Diggs, Mitch and Davis are all playing similar to what they were last season. The only major injury is Knox who has been replaced by Kincaid.

Yet the offense has been underperforming many times. Just really shows you that Dorsey was a big issue.

    What about Allen?

I'm surprised, honestly. Figured it'd be after the season if anything.

Everyone griping about McDermott, I get it but his defense has still played well despite all the injuries. That's gonna get him a mulligan if it keeps up for the rest of the season.

Except that he is the HC and responsible for all of it.

This might be good. If we continue to be terrible for the remaining seven games, maybe McDermott will finally get fired too.

Yeah, Maybe the offense wakes for a game because of the situation but I doubt the interim coach is going to make a major difference.  Teams know what to do to stop us.

Genuinely curious if you folks still disagree that poor coaching has become a theme, or if you still believe it is not a concern?

The coaching has been poor in all phases of the game.  Last night was an example of it - every phase of the game failed and had questionable game management.    Worse, they players seem to be disengaged, especially Allen.   No spirit, no fun, no fire.  A sure sign that the coaches have lost the players.

You McD haters are probably going to get your big day.  I expect changes will come.

I follow the Sabres very closely, so be forewarned that Pegula is not good at this hiring and firing thing.  He lucked out with McD and he got help from the league resources.  McD is the guy who got Breane.

Since they both report to Terry, who fires the coach?  Pegula right?   What happens to Beane?

I shudder at the thought of Pegula hiring another coach and GM.  He should hold on to Beane and let him hire the coach and make the coach report to Beane.   But maybe Beane wants out if McD gets the axe?

Miller was always a 3 year contract we were locked into. Thats why I said the ACL injury was a killer. Took 2 years of Von away while eating a lot of cap. It was a killer injury.

Knox we’re also stuck with. Another killer contract if they can’t get 12 personnel to work.

White can be released next year with some savings.

We are stuck with Knox, but if we happen to change OCs maybe the next guy can install a 12 that works.

Literally saw it twice today on other games where it didnt work out....

Its like the fans dont watch the struggles of other teams and think this is just uniquely buffalo.

Kansas City with Patrick Mahomes scored 0 points in 32 minutes today. 0 points in the 2nd half against Miami's defense.

    2nd half:

    Punt

    Fumble

    Punt

    Punt

    End of game

But they took a commanding 21-0 lead.  Their defense closed it out.  Their coach didn’t make stupid decisions.

Worth noting with some of the Gabe Davis criticisms this week. “Where was Gabe?”

Diggs and Kincaid did everything we begged from a first and second target. They were open a ton, caught just about everything, 16 catches for about 160. We got that 1/2 production everybody was begging for. Davis was a role player on the outside. That’s what people have pounded the table for.

We have to do better at getting him and Cook involved situationally for chunk plays and RAC. Let Shakir find some soft spots. Davis brings some speed and size on the outside, and Cook should be tearing up LB’s in the passing game. Those guys are certainly good enough to fill those roles with the emerging of Kincaid as a legit option.

    Are they?

    I am not seeing it.

Unfortunately, Tre White, Matt Milano and DaQuan Jones aren't walking through that door....there is only so much that can be done with the D as presently constituted....

The O scoring 30+ points is paramount if the Bills are to have a legitimate shot at winning this game.

I think it can be done, but its going to be a tough one.

It can be done.  It requires a great game plan and great execution.  They must come out ready and fired up and they must stay that way and play a complete game.

They motivation should be there.  We are going to learn everything we need to know about this years Bills Team on Sunday.

After the “Hamlin Incident” and the pathetic playoff loss. McD better have this game circled and he better have his team ready to play.

Another embarrassment would be just more proof that our head coach does not learn from his errors.

This game will tell me a lot about McD and his compete level.

Win the toss, do not differ again, get the ball and score first.

Wouldn't mind it but would MUCH rather not see it come out till a successful scripted first drive gives us a lead. Just don't want to bust it out too early and dig our D into a hole. If it looks unstoppable, we can take it out earlier following games

It’s not gonna be unstoppable, it might work at times, but we don’t have Reed, Lofton, Beebe, Thurman, and  McKeller/Metzellars.   Only Diggs is that circle.

He was in on one stop he chased down early when Settle got blown out of his gap.

Much of the yards we gave up were outside the tackles.

Looked like the Pats had two helmets on him when he was in and he was not giving up too much ground.

There was so much crap going on elsewhere that I did not like that I stopped looking for Poona plays.

Like Dane playing 15 yards off a receiver the Pats called up from their practice squad to give up an easy 1st down conversion or completely whiffing on an end around tackle.

Dane was terrible yesterday, just plain terrible.
