  1. Very true… Sure, I was thinking more in current terms but you are right to throw him in the mix
  2. I’ve seen a few people compare the situation to 2020 where Buffalo was firmly at #2 with nothing to play for. Josh played an entire half then. But that was three posts seasons ago. If you listened to the press conference McDermott stressed that it would be short. I think he’s playing maybe one series at most.
  3. That’s what I thought too but I remembering seeing a report that Daboll made the switch because he was coaching to save his job. I always thought it was strange that he chose DeVito over Lock. But if it was a tank, you’d figure out they would find a way to sit Lock and start a lesser QB - like Cleveland did DTR and Winston. I don’t think they would deviate from their plan just because your fall guy got hurt. Giants fans are now terrified that Schoen is going trade up with NE all because of the win on Sunday.
  4. If it’s Brisette vs. Trubisky we’re likely to see a 9-6 classic.
  5. What is Kenny like in real life? Some of the traditions he created are just so strange and out there. The cooking food on car hoods and shovels etc. where does that come from?
  6. This is coaching thing. Lots of coaches do this and it’s far from exclusive to Sean McDermott. It happened in the Cincinnati/Denver game multiple times
  7. I think the weather factors into it. He doesn’t want to bundle up for the elements only needing to change into a separate in the cold
  8. I don’t get the impression that Chiefs fans are shaking in their boots to face Cincinnati in the playoffs. Bills fans shouldn’t be either. Maybe not this season though
  9. Pinto Ron has to be the most famous Bills “super fan” right? I know there’s others like Bills Elvis, the Cooks, Brother Bill and Del Reid, but I think Ron has to be #1. Also, that Pinto Ron tailgate crew is such an oddity. You have Pinto who drives a beater, cooks on the engine, drinks bowling ball shots and of course the ketchup/mustard ceremony. Then there is Pizza Pete who cooks pizza out of an old filing cabinet. Where did these guys come from? Seriously though, odd or not, 500 games is quite the accomplishment.
  10. On one hand it’s tough to beat any team 3x in a season. On another Miami are pretty banged up on offense at QB and both WR’s and still have a subpar OL. I’m not scared of Cincinnati. It probably would be a shootout type of game but there’s a reason that team has lost 8 games this season. Denver’s defense is pretty good and you know that Sean Payton is going to do everything to punish the Bills defense in the run game like other good OC’s before him. Nix is a bit of a wildcard. It seems that Payton is trying to calling easy button plays to minimize potential mistakes, but then he’ll make those money long TD throws downfield. Not sure what to make of him yet, as I do feel a part of his success is due to Payton, but he has some really nice looking plays this season
  11. If you watched DTR you would know why. He is atrocious. Everyone is reporting that they are resting their starters though nothing official from the team.
  12. No doubt that Tyrod was a great guy who worked hard in Buffalo. So I definitely appreciate Bills fans giving him a nice ovation. But I feel that the whole drought-ender talk from Bills fans is a little exaggerated. Yes he was the QB on the 2017 and he was very efficient and smart with the football. But that team was all about running the football with Shady and playing good defense.
  13. They have so many needs it’s probably the smart play. The problem with draft picks is that you need to hit on them. Aside from Drake Maye, the new administration had a pretty bad draft.
  14. At first thought, I didn’t think it’s as big of a deal since NE already has Mays. This will still ensure the Giants get the first pick at QB. But given all the holes on the NE roster and the fact that they already have their QB in place, I wouldn’t be shocked to see them trade out for bounty of higher draft picks. If I’m Mara and can’t select the QB I want, I’d be pissed at Daboll
  15. The Bills don’t want of these 3 players. Poyer was released from his contract because of his age/performance. They wanted to get younger and cheaper. Dodson has improved quite a bit over the past few seasons. But he was easily fooled in pass coverage. Siran Neal is NOT a good defensive back. If you have Neal playing significant snaps, it’s not an ideal situation. He’s a special teams player
  16. This is a silly post. That’s like Miami saying “we need to lure away Aaron Kromer from Buffalo.” Positional coaches can’t make lateral moves unless their team approves it. Most times they block lateral moves. That means to get Smith to Buffalo you’d have to make him defensive coordinator. Sounds like a terrible idea
  17. They are pretty banged up on offense
  18. The common denominator in 2/3 games is Josh Allen playing recklessly and turning the football over. Also, the Bills held the Colts under their season total in points that game and made on the final series to win the game. Sounds like the bias is strong with this one
  19. So many Bills fans were crying that they released Blacksheer because he scored a one yard TD with Carolina.
  20. I think as it stands Cincinnati has something like a 11% chance to make the playoffs. Their win boosted them an extra 5% You play whoever is on the schedule. If you’re Buffalo you can’t be like the fan base worry about potential opponents. Also you have to be careful what you wish for because nothing is a sure thing in the playoffs. There’s countless examples of this. Just gotta let the chips fall where they may
  21. Remember that time McDermott went 9/31 passing against the overrated Houston Texans defense?
  22. Didn’t it seem a lot colder than 40 degrees?
  23. Bills vs. Cardinals from the 1990 season. I was pretty young and this was the first game I ever attended live. My aunt and uncle surprised me with game tickets that week. According to the broadcast it was 40 degrees but it was very windy and we were sitting high in the 300’s. We were absolutely freezing. Maybe it was because it was November and we weren’t dressed for the elements? I remember it snowing a bit too though it doesn’t look like much accumulated on the field. By halftime my feet were frozen and I was finding any excuse to get out of the wind into the corridor to warm up. It didn’t work very well! Anyway the Bills were rolling then. Not much else to remember about this game other than a big Bills win and a backward punt from Rich Camarillo. My aunt and uncle aren’t around anymore but this was a great memory to me.
