Det @ SF Game Thread (Please keep the Bills stuff out of this thread)
QLBillsFan replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
Fair thought but I think they are smartest guys in the room guys.. my system is so good and I’m so smart we don’t need a great QB.. at what point do they get called out by the media?? -

Well… looks like QB’s matter. All you hear is Lynch and Shanny are gurus .. they wiffed on the one time they will have a shot at a top 2 qb. Shanny showed me going for style points as ATL OC vs Pats cost them. Not sold he is a championship coach. -

Living here in central CA the niners fans came into this game quite confident and borderline arrogant. Lions have way less pressure and are playing like it. -
Well Ravens leg whipped Jones in the EZ for what should have been a safety. Otherwise KC gets away with more OL holding than anyone else. Ravens O was dreadful and Lamar is not good in the playoffs. Those are the narratives for coverage tomorrow and big media. Since they skewered JA for another solid performance I’ll wait to see them to criticize Lamar. Not expecting it.

Exactly! The history of the rivalry and the Bills banged up D during this game showed one and only one strategy made sense. And that is gain first downs and literally run the clock down to as close to zero as possible. Underneath to Diggs for a good gain and possible first down. Or after the miss to Shakir.. play a 4 down game. Maybe a run or quick swing pass to get to 4th and 2 or 3. Then go for it. Even 4th and 9 with the ball in Josh’s hands was a better choice than a FG giving Patty 1:43 and 2 TOs to get a FG. The entire stadium knew Bass was not confident. Why kick a FG that meant nothing. Eat the clock, use 4 downs and win or lose with your best player on the field!

Anyone wish we were down by 4 at the end?
QLBillsFan replied to Jukester's topic in The Stadium Wall
I do. You’re giving the ball back to KC with 143 left and 2 TOs. We should have run or short pass on 3rd and go for it on 4th. In fact if they went on 4th and 9 I would have been fine with it. He had 2 guys open just got his throw adjusted. Better off w Allen on 4th and 9 then a tie with tons of time for Patty. Oh and it was clear the kicker was shaky. Play to win! -
Play the 3rd and 9 to gain some yards. Then go for it on 4th and 3 or 4. Because even if our bad kicker hits the kick KC has 143 and 2 TOs .. does anyone think KC and Patty would not get 3? Please …

AFC Division Playoff - Chiefs @ Bills 1st half game thread

They are saying it’s obvious he caught the ball half yard behind the throw -
AFC Division Playoff - Chiefs @ Bills 1st half game thread

Why are they saying the lateral was illegal.. it was 1 yard back smart play and a design -
Well the Ravens might disagree. Have beaten about everyone and gave up exactly 3 points to a warm Texans team. I’d say one team looks dominant and they are waiting in Baltimore.

Each situation is different. He was the OC last year as well. Rising star then shot down a bit. It’s the coaching cycle, I wish him well. JA wasn’t playing well and was part of the problem as well.

Johnson clears protocol, Bernard not expected to play

Johnson clears protocol, Bernard not expected to play
QLBillsFan replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
The league has a process. Do any of us know the severity of his head injury from last game? I don’t .. protocol is followed and if he passes he passes. The Bills imho are typically cautious about these things. It’s a violent sport and as fans we want the best players to play. Nobody on GR or anywhere else wants him to play if he’s clearly not ready. -
Johnson clears protocol, Bernard not expected to play
QLBillsFan replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well the NFL given all the concerns on head injuries have cleared him. So that factors more than what Dent would say about a middle school volleyball player. Other people are other people in this individual case they have cleared him. He’s also an adult and has decided he wants to play. I’m far more concerned about the safety of the Bills playing on an inferior field in London than this. TJ knows his body and also may factor this as career limiting. But he is cleared and wants to play. -

Today shows imho AFC will win SB based on QB play. Any of the remaining 3! -
Update: Kadarius Toney out. Omenihu and Gay to play..
QLBillsFan replied to Sierra Foothills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Gay is fastest of the LB core and as the spy gave Josh some problems.. so this would be a big deal. -
Martin has been outstanding the 2nd half of the year. Multiple kicks inside the 20, important because the Bills don’t have a ton of 3 and outs.
-
Kingsbury seems a better fit for Bears if they draft Williams. So they Oscar selection will tell us that.
-
He obviously a KC homer and it gives him attention. He’s CC’s little mentee. I’m more surprised how a lot of media can’t see it as conceivable that Patty could possibly lose. Also the narrative for the Bills is if not this year then when? While Bills are at home the D injuries are unreal. It’s a 50/50 game.
-
Spencer Brown has played well. Glad Teller and the other guy are doing well. Not gonna be perfect on all players. Brown is one of the best run blockers and has a multiple years starting future. And I was one who wanted him replaced this year, but the Bills were tight to be patient.
-
Unless he excels during an interview he otherwise would not have gotten ?
-
I think on the whole he’s used them intelligently. A big stop on D is as important as O. I’d be interested to see the data on his D TOs vs the next play success. My gut says it’s been decent. Also stopping the clock for the O to have time comes into play.

The guy deserves the opportunity to make a living. He clearly has the talent. He’s only said good things about the Bills since he was released. So he may not have been completely clear with the Bills and that trust may have been broken. The only reason that the Bills would not consider him. But the rest of the NFL?
