  1. Agreed on Clemson being out with a loss. If LSU loses, that’s when things get real. I agree that they should still be a top 4 team based off record and who their loss came against. But from other schools perspectives, they didn’t win their conference championship so what‘a the point of those games then? If I win my conference championship and a major conference, I want in over someone who didn’t. That’s what’s championships and playoffs are for. I would argue that Ohio St, Georgia, LSU, Clemson and Oklahoma are the best teams. Someone’s going to be left out and so are major conference champions
  2. Tight End in Atlanta whose gotten better every year. Big performer and about to be an unrestricted free agent. Falcons have big salary cap issues. I know we have Knox and just signed Kroft, but this guy is big, fast, and has hands. He can pull down high point passes and would be a legit end zone threat. He lines up at receiver a lot. I’d love to see us cut Kroft and go after him. He’d be highly utilized in Daboll’s offense and I think he could be a go to guy for Allen that would draw attention from everyone else. I’d as much want him as a big bodied number one. Brown, Beasley; Hooper, Singletary, and Knox on the field all at once sounds pretty good to me. He’s gonna cost money, but probably only 4-5 mil more than Kroft. That’s a worthy upgrade to me.
  3. This guy makes no sense to me. Has all the tools, hands, and elite route running footwork, but just absolutely disappears. People tried the “decoy” excuse while he was here, but it’s his entire career now.
  4. I guess I finish this season, see what plays out in the offseason and if he continues to be the guy and prove long term viability, they could lock him up mid season. As for value, I think he’d be in the 5-7 mil range if he knows he’s starting caliber and is rating out well
  5. I'm not debating his value to us. I like the guy. I'm just saying he isn't such a name or performer that I think he needs to be extended early. Unless your point is that you think he's so good that his value will only go up if we don't lock him up earlier?
  6. Kroft getting cut is a distinct possibility. Liuget is probably not going to come back, as I’ve been convinced by another poster. I’d love to see them go after Hooper from Atlanta to pair with Knox, but he’s going to command too much money
  7. I meant to say didn't start. As in, when the season began. The were still rotating Ford at Guard. Yes, he's been a pleasant surprise and I like him, but don't see us getting into a holdout/bidding war over him. Poyer is a good safey, but he's not putting up the numbers like he did in year one that would also create a holdout/bidding war. Unless we are trying to re-work cap space, I don't see a need to give them new deals early
  8. You're misunderstanding me. It's McD and Beane who probably won't want to extend early. They want as much of Terry's money as they can get. If they bet on themselves and do good things next year too, they'll get more of it.
  9. I don't even know what that means
  10. If I'm Beane and McD, I don't want to extend until after next year and drive my price up. You have to bet on yourself. They are each on 5 year deals. If this season goes like we think, they have another solid offseason and growth while the Pats are on decline, they could be getting millions more a year
  11. It would make too much sense. Knows Beane and McD, fits a big need, young and talented.
  12. Some just can’t help themselves. They are typically the same that know current events by reading the headlines, not the body
  13. Anderson is interesting to me. He’s had crap QB’s, but definitely has upside, size, and speed. He’s not going to get top 10 money, not even close. I could see him in the 10-12 mil range.
  14. He overall reminds me of Marcellus Wiley. Just enough sacks in bursts to have good final stats, but not a game in and game out influencer. Gets paid and just kind of exists
  15. OP, you’re gonna get flamed like a mofo, but it’s crossed my mind. Option 1 - Win out and take the #1 seed Option 2 - if 5 seed is inevitable, whatever needs to happen for Pats to get *****
  16. I think Von has a voidable final year. I’m curious why you don’t think we have room for all those DT’s when they are currently on the roster. I guess Harrison Phillips returning creates an odd man out? It all depends on if they think Shaq can keep it going as to whether I’d want them to re-sign him. I’m personally not sold and think he takes too many plays off. Murphy just isn’t worth it. I’d rather draft and sign one.
  17. If Georgia wins, you still let LSU in? How do you justify letting in a team that lost it’s conference championship over a team that won theirs? I agree that LSU would be the better overall team, I’m talking on paper and having to appease the masses
  18. I would argue that Poyer gets cheaper each year. He hasn’t made the big plays like before. I see no need to re-sign him early. Feliciano didn’t even start. I’m not worried about a holdout or needing to match high money elsewhere
  19. Make sure you download an OEM version. That means it has zero extra programs. It makes all the speed/efficiency difference in the world
  20. 1p Ravens/49ers on the TV Browns/Steelers on the Laptop 4p Chiefs/Raiders
  21. I have to say, I’m loving Thursday night games. I’ve never thought that before. That win lets me watch football on the first Sunday in December, not anxiously watching the scoreboards, stressing about tie breakers, and just overall relax through the games. It’s December and WE are in control of our playoff destiny. The Bills get extra days to rest, watch their upcoming opponent, and really only need to win 1 of their next 4. They could easily be in a situation to bench their starters in week 17. The only real annoyance is that the division is almost completely out of reach. ***** the Pats. Overall, these are all things I haven’t felt in 20+ years. It’s nice. I hope you are all enjoying it too
