  1. I think this is going to be a hard fought game. No doubt the Bills are the better team. Will the Bills have a letdown after that big win? I doubt it. The Jets offense looked very good vs Pitt. Fields presents a challenge with his legs and actually threw the ball well. Hall is a home run threat and Wilson is very good. I think the Jets offense will be successful vs the work in progress Bills defense. On offense the Bills should be fine. An old Rodgers and limited offense in Pittsburgh rolled the Jets D. The Bills offense should click for lots of points.
  2. Really good input GunnerBill.
  3. I'd be surprised if they started the rookie. McD will probably trust Ingram more. However, Babich was talking up Strong like he was an all pro.
  4. It's quite possible look at Benford.
  5. Did anyone get the impression this was artificial and contrived by Babich?
  6. Their offense wasn't dynamic. No running game and short quick passes. Tough way to run an offense. 15 is that good though. He can pretty much beat you by himself.
  7. I think we will see plenty of 5 man sets from Buffalo.
  8. We will disagree to disagree. Let's move on. The Ravens can't afford to lose in week 1. Yes ok...
  9. I disagree. That's not the thought process, mind set, and thinking of professional players. You always hear players and coaching talking about a week by week basis and game by game mentality. It's the complete opposite of what you are saying. It's week 1 and there's no way the Bills players are thinking about your theme subconsciously or not.
  10. I'm going to cry like a baby! Thinking about that is a lifelong dream come true.
  11. This Bills D have a difficult task ahead of them. The Baltimore offense is one of the best in league. Their run game is outstanding, efficient passing game, and the best in the red zone. Of course, this is a new year but I don't see a huge dropoff if any from the Ravens offense. Obviously, it's not optimal that the Bills secondary is banged up and have other on the line suspended. I have to think the Ravens will attempt the Bills weaknesses. I'm not sure the Bills can get the Ravens off the field in 3rd downs.
  12. I don't know about the wanting it or needing it more. Both teams are experienced and know the importance of getting the win. I think it's more about match ups and injuries than desire and strength of scheduling.
  13. STOP!!! Allen is not approaching Lamar as a runner. Not even close. Lamar is quick, elusive, and a home run threat. Allen is more of a plodder and powerful runner. Lamar is far more dangerous with his legs and it's not even close. Contrastingly, Allen is a superior thrower than Lamar. Not even close. Lamar has improved to be a sufficient thrower but he will never be a Josh Allen. Both QBs are elite and hopefully get to hoist Lombardi Trophies.
  14. Definitely not hopeless. The Bills are at home, have a healthy Allen, and a great oline. Of course, the Bills can win. Looking at all the circumstances, I'd put the Bills winning the game at about 40%.
  15. The Bills stacked the box to stop Henry. They can't run their regular front and be successful. They are too light in the ass. Rookies have learning curves and I don't expect Walker or Sanders to have a high impact on stopping the run. Yes the Bills secondary is a mess. An improved Lamar should be able to exploit the Bills weaknesses. They can beat the Bills several different ways. That's way their path to victory is pretty big. We will see how it plays out.
  16. I hear you. The Bills really haven't been able to stretch the field last year and vs Baltimore too. Allen really didn't throw a great deep ball and the Bills lacked a vertical threat. Hopefully, this year that changes. We should find out pretty fast because I think the Ravens top priority is stopping the Bills run game.
  17. When do you say enough is enough? Let's look at the last 3 playoff exits. (1) 13 seconds. McD ripped the heart out of his players and fans. This disaster is 100% on him. No other way to put it. (2) Lost to Cincinnati in home playoff loss. I know Hamlin excuse is in full effect. What's not debatable is the team was flat, unprepared, and game planning was atrocious. To make it worse, the Bills had a free dress rehearsal in Cinci and learned nothing from it. Cincinnati was throttling the Bills defense. McD's game plan in the playoff game was atrocious. (3) Another loss to KC. We fans have been clamoring for a home playoff game vs the Chiefs instead of being in Arrowhead. Yet, McD and the coaching staff lose again. What makes you think McD can lead this team past KC? He can't! The players most specifically Josh Allen will have to win despite McD. That should be clear in all fans minds. Three years and counting. When is enough enough?
  18. Ground hog day...
  19. Good analysis. I agree with your post. I just think it's a huge ask and unlikely to expect two rookies to have a significant impact. It's far more likely that they are liabilities due to their lack of experience. Like I've reinterated the path to a Bills victory is pretty narrow. Sure they can win and I hope they do. I think the Bills offense will have to make some explosive plays, control the ball, stretch the field, and have 1 or less turnovers. The crowd will be loud but not as advantageous or helpful as other games. The Ravens know what to expect and will be prepared. The Bills defense will likely get shredded. I don't see a viable or realistic path to their success. The Ravens have a path to run all over the Bills or be successful passing due to the Bills secondary injuries. I do believe your above explanation is unrealistic. (No offense.) I think the defense needs to be stout in the red zone, prevent TDs, give up mostly field goals, force a couple of turnovers, and maybe get one big 4th down stop.
  20. I've been advocating a coaching change right after 13 seconds. It became clear as day the guy doesn't haven't it. The following years have confirmed this. He doesn't have what it takes. He's a very good coach but not good enough. He's a great guy but it's time to move on. Change is needed. Who has confidence this guy and his defense can hold up vs KC or Baltimore? Sometimes change is a good thing and badly needed.
  21. No better evidence than 13 seconds, unprepared and terrible game planning for the Cinci home playoff loss, and home playoff loss vs KC last year.
  22. I'm just negative on this game. You take everything into consideration the path to a Bills victory is much slimmer than the Ravens. Agree? The Bills should be fine going forward as the schedule is more favorable, young guys get valuable playing time, and hopefully players get healthy.
