  1. I actually enjoy this part of the offseason (maybe a bit too much). It' an exciting time! FA and the draft are fun to watch unfold. I watch the draft like it's a "playoff tournament". And then ... we wait.... It's a long wait.
  2. Coach says Jeudy is not going to be traded.
  3. I notice you have a healthy mix of TE's in your mocks. Wondering if you can tell me what you think of Dawson Knox. I feel that a tall backup like Kuntz would be the best option for redzone and short yardage situations. I don't have TE as a top draft need this year as I feel Knox has really improved this past season and has some more growth to do. I don't feel like he's hit his ceiling yet.
  4. Like rounds 1, 2 and 6, but this draft does not adequately address linebacker. Pappoe isn't ready and I feel he'd just be a special teamer. Great O-line though!
  5. I guess it was less obvious watching from home. I WISH I was live! Thanks for the insight.
  6. I've stayed out of this thread but at 141 pages..... can someone please give the the summary in ONE post? LOL..... Seems I need to catch up.
  7. I'm sorry but I have no idea how you can know that without being an insider in the organization. I'm not discounting the point at all, I just want to know how you can know information like that. To me it wasn't evident on the field at all.
  8. Doubled down on linebackers in this trade down scenario....
  9. I'd be pretty happy with this, although I'd be nervous on draft day picking safety in the first and wondering if a quality linebacker would still be on the board in round 2. Hard to pass on Brian Branch! Hyde / Poyer have a combined age of 63! Time to bring in fresh legs and let him learn from the BEST tandem in the NFL.
  10. Yep. Goes to show you that the free agency is about equally important!
  11. Shakir DESERVED way more playing time in his rookie season.
  12. Okay. I liked him as a rental option but maybe a draft prospect might turn out to be a hall of famer at MLB.... fingers crossed we get this right.
  13. I'm looking into late round WR draft prospects that might be a bit "buried" on the depth charts due to exceptional talent ahead of them. Also looking at the typical "top" schools, with high end competition. Kearis Jackson, Georgia - Priority UDFA Ronnie Bell, Michigan - Possible 6th rounder Cedric Tillman, Tennessee - Possible 4th rounder
  14. LOL just goes to show you that some websites have player evaluations way out of whack.... I thought PFF was pretty good. Looking for some better alternatives now that it's a paid site.
  15. I disagree. I think that Sanders is the better of the two with respect to shedding blocks, and getting into the backfield. Much more disruptive in that sense. BUT, he's less well rounded and I don't think that he has the same football IQ, quick thinking, and ability to cover. In a pass happy league, I'm leaning towards Campbell for his ability to cover AND tackle. I'm not sure if Sanders goes in the first. I'd actually prefer to trade down for Campbell if possible but would be okay with sticking and pickiing.
  16. I'd put TE at one of the LOWEST priorities this offseason. The only guy I'd consider is that 6'8" monster that showed well at the combine, just for red zone jump balls. Kuntz. My draft needs have been different than FA needs. Draft needs: MLB - the CLEAR #1 need this year. IOL - A starter at G or at least a versatile OG/OC FS and SS - I want TWO safeties in this draft if it falls right. DT - I'd like to add a Nose Tackle to add to the mix WR - LAST need..... but a need.
  17. Just have to say……. Boy did I catch a LOT of heat here on this board last offseason, when I suggested that OC was a high draft need. I am often wrong about a lot of things lol. A lot….But I was bang on with that one.
  18. I'd add Joe Tippman to the list. Has OG and OC experience but listed as OC.
  19. Yes I see your point, but let's say that O'Cyrus Torrence is the pick. I guess you let them all compete in preseason and let the chips fall where they may.
  20. I think we draft a versatile OC/OG.
  21. I've got a bit of a different take than the OP, but with some overlap. I'd say this teams biggest needs as of today are (no particular order): True #2 WR - I totally agree that we need to draft a WR in this draft, but it can't be forced over other needs that are more immediate, and concerning. I think that even if the board didn't "fall right" to select a WR, we would be okay. I have a good level of confidence that Davis will rebound. MLB: I think that Bobby Wagner might be asking for too much, and regardless, we would still need to draft the "heir apparent". I think that we have very little choice but to draft MLB in the first round. Easily the #1 need this draft. Dominant DT - Personally I'm looking for a depth player, with NOSE tackle capabilities. We are lacking in that area. Right Tackle - I'm just going to call this Offensive Tackle. We did spend a third rounder on RT. He hasn't worked out all that well yet, and needs some competition. We also need a better swing tackle option (maybe the current starter can be a very good backup....). Backup QB - Yeah sure, but maybe Georgia's Stetson Bennett in round 6 if he's the BPA. Here's where I differ: Backup OC: Morse has some injury issues, is older, and we need insurance there. I'd draft an interior O-lineman with versatility at GUARD and CENTER, as early as the second round. Safety: Although Hyde and Poyer are still playing at a high level, they are geriatric in football years (will they play a full season? Injuries are harder to overcome, and you DO start to slow down as you age). You don't wait until these old dudes fall apart before addressing the position. No disrespect. I LOVE both of Hyde and Poyer, but we have to be realistic and plan for the future. I'm drafting TWO safeties in this draft if it falls that way.
  22. I'm getting more comfortable drafting Campbell at 27 even without a trade down.
