Are there any concerns about his blocking translating? I noticed he's a on the small side for a TE at 6'4" 247 lb.

The Cardinals tried to make him an off-ball linebacker and he was starting to look like a total bust, which is why they just used him as an undersized pass rush specialist (which is what he was in college) in their 3-4 defense. He's way too small to play DE in a 4-3, so the only way he'd be of much use to us is if we brought back the Zo role. I'd rather not spend a chunk of our limited cap space on someone who's gonna play less than half the snaps.

Gimme Lawson. He's been a good pass rusher since he stepped on an NFL field and was second in QB hits behind TJ Watt this year. Going to a defense than can actually cover and where he's not the only player who can rush the passer will help turn more of those hits into sacks. He's also solid against the run unlike Ngakoue, Hendrickson, and Okwara.
