Josh Allen - is he playing injured?
Bermuda Triangle replied to GoBills!'s topic in The Stadium Wall
Maybe uncatchable for a guy like Hollins. That play reminded of DiMarco trying to run under an Allen deep ball, which coincidentally was the last time we played in Houston. -
Who is more at fault? Beane or McDermott?
Bermuda Triangle replied to TonyBeets's topic in The Stadium Wall
It pains me to defend McDermott, as I don't think he's a good Head Coach, but IMO, this mess is more Beane's handiwork. Failure to acquire high-end talent in the draft and FA (Allen aside). Poor asset allocation (underperforming picks and signings on the DL; THREE (yes, three) Day 2 picks on RB in 4 years) Poor FA signings Inexplicably ignoring the WR room annually (the fascination with 'blocking WRs' in free agency is quite strange to me). Neglecting the safety position, as it became clear that Poyer and Hyde were aging out (Hamlin should NOT be starting in the NFL) We are wasting another year of the prime of the best QB in franchise history. Comparing Beane to Polian is a massive insult to Polian. -
I think because we're used to watching guys like Epenesa, Rousseau, Basham, etc., we're not used to seeing DEs who are consistently impactful, and who step up in big moments.

Are we figured out already? The issues as I see them

Seeing Shavers on the field for the 4th down conversion/TD was....something. -
Do we trust McBeane in next years draft.
Bermuda Triangle replied to Buffalo Boy's topic in The Stadium Wall
That's the thing - it's hard to win in the playoffs without 'blue chip' players. If you're content with being the Kings of Wild Card weekend, then stay the course. Personally I want more than that. -

Every front office whiffs on picks. In his 7 drafts and 8 off-seasons, aside from Allen, how much top-end talent has he acquired? You mentioned the Chiefs - look at their drafts and signings, and do the same exercise. -

Beane's annual neglect of the WR room has come home to roost. Who'd have thunk it?- 68 replies

Rousseau was up against a backup rookie RT today. Who won that matchup? -

To answer the OP simply: NO. I trust him with Day 3 picks, but no way in hell should he be trusted in Day 1 & Day 2 picks. The infatuation some have with Beane is really puzzling to me. -

I did not know that they were missing LBs. -

Tytus Howard out at RT for the Texans. They're starting a rookie in his place. Today would be a good day for Rousseau to reappear. -

Did Beane Fail Josh and the fan base?
Bermuda Triangle replied to Returntoglory's topic in The Stadium Wall
Why would anyone reasonably expect Samuel to be healthy? Of his first 7 seasons in the NFL, he's played two full seasons. It's hard to win the SB without top-end players. We have one on our roster. That's 100% on Beane. -

I think it would be interesting if people were to objectively review Beane's moves in free agency. -

Each of the Ravens first 3 opponents had their best passing output (through Week 4) against the Ravens. -

And the Raiders were their other game… -
The DL once again failed to show up. Oliver and Jones especially. kincaid’s drop on the 1st possession was huge. His blocking was not good, to say the least. aside from ‘The Call’, I think Brady called a poor game, especially in short yardage situations. LBs, Lewis and the Safeties were really, really bad.

Strange thing I noticed about Mike McDaniel
Bermuda Triangle replied to steven50's topic in The Stadium Wall
Dude just tries too hard to be cool and hip, and at least to me, it comes off as being corny and cringy. The "I wish it were colder" thing was prime Miami unseriousness. They got their wish, against KC in the playoffs last year. How did that work out?
