I get the feeling that they are trying to work the clock in to remove any sense of pressure from Josh.
The guy who's like leading the league in 4th quarter comebacks the last two years lol riiiiight they are trying to take Joey bosa out of the game while burning up the clock

Allen the turnover machine. Don't deserve to win this
Lol what is he supposed to do take a sack on 4th down? 🤣

I’m not sure what people are over reacting about with the defense. They also had a very clutch fourth down stop a few series ago before DevIn fumbled it. They are making some mistakes, but I think they are looking substantially better than they did the first eight weeks
Defense is playing well the game day thread is not a very rational place lol

Josh with 60 yards. It's amazing how different this offense is without Brown.
Good half by the D other than their one scoring drive.
They moved that ball though that diggs pi was a huge chunk

I would say we don't really know if they are top tier yet...too many important players playing hurt and 2/3 of our losses were during a covid scheduling debacle. If the defense doesn't noticeably improve after the bye I would agree

Not really. We're probably going to be favored in five of our last six games. At the beginning of the season, this last six game stretch looked incredibly daunting -- it's still challenging and I don't expect to actually finish 5-1, but it's not really that bad.
Edit: I mean, if you told me right now that we were going to beat Miami in week 17 -- a game that we'll be strongly favored to win -- that one win alone gives us essentially a three game lead in the division (two games plus the tiebreaker) with only five more games to play. It's a lot more accurate to say that all we need to do to win the division at this point is just win the games we're supposed to win. It doesn't matter what we do against the Steelers or 49ers if we take care of business against the Dolphins, Broncos, and Chargers.
Bills could get in at 10-6 with a loss to Miami now. That dolphins loss to Denver was enormous. Not sure where this high football iq dude is getting this stuff from 🤣 I dont think a team that just got handled by denver should feel great about their chiefs-pats-raiders-bills closing stretch

Their last 4 are certainly tough on paper, but if they win the next three as most expect and get to 9-3 never underestimate the power of momentum especially given their strengths on ST and Defense, turnover differential, point differential, etc. KC is the true measuring stick game that will determine if the Dolphins are an elite team/SB contender this year or probably just in the playoff mix like the Bills and many other 2nd tier teams.
The only thing that may truly derail the Dolphins historic run is if Tua gets hurt or starts to truly struggle and put the team in a tough spot with turnovers. But even going back to Fitz wouldn't be the worst option for them given how he's played there the last few years.
Or if the other team doesn't turn the ball over and they make Tua actually have to lead an offense that scores points lol. They had to bench the dude today because they fell behind are they gonna do that every week that they lose a lead?
Honestly what is historic about their run? Lol has a team never won 6 in a row before? They're literally outside of the playoffs right now and were talking about them being potentially an elite team? 🤣 they may not even be a 'playoff mix' team

I think they want to give him This year and next to develop, in order to Contend in 2022-23. They’ll be using their significant draft capital over the next few years to infuse the team with talent and depth all Around him. Could Be wrong— but that makes the most sense to me.I think theyre not sure if he has the goods and theyre trying to decide if they should use Houstons first on a qb. Thats a game they thought they could win if they swapped him out for fitz but they'll still start tua going forward. Seems silly to me when you're a game out of the division lead but who am I to judge lol

Everyone in the league was saying the same thing about Allen after his first season. Maybe give it a little longer
I think anyone would tell you josh is an absolute freak of nature size/athleticism wise and his ceiling was high even back then though I dont think Tua is really in that category as much...not saying he won't be good though I just dont think he'll be great

If the long term plan took precedent, they would have left him in if he was healthy. Jmo
It makes no sense to me because he was clearly only in there due to the long term plan and then they change their mind in the middle of this game? 🤣 like 'oh wait we are in the middle of a playoff race thats right'... what are they doing down there in Miami lol

He almost was though lol that gordon fumble was unreal

I know some fans here still love Fitz but that is why he was benched and probably will remain there next week unless Tua is injured.
Tua did NOTHING in that game...or really any game for that matter. Dude likely isn't it. Thank goodness Herbert didn't go to the dolphins. Im all for you making your dolphins decades long dynasty prediction because it brings some extra excitement to these boards 🤣 but the dolphins didn't do a whole lot with their draft picks and there is really no evidence they'll be hitting any home runs in the draft next year either.

Nah Jets are a trainwreck and will ruin any QB they draft by not having an O-Line and WR/RBs... Who would think their owner and GM could pick a HC..
Itll be a new gm and head coach most likely 😁

What did I tell you all?
Fitz has never let me down, facts is he will never lead a team to the playoffs.
Lol but even if thats true your other option is Tua who gives you less of a chance to win...you have to pick one of the options 🤣 no chance tua even comes close to leading the dolphins on a 90+ yard drive there
-
Just now, TBBills said:
No b.c when you start Fitz you are saying "We are not making the playoffs"
Fitz is not capable of taking a team to the playoffs.
Hes clearly better than the alternative right now...when has Tua taken an nfl team to the playoffs 🤣
-
2 minutes ago, TBBills said:
No reason to start Fitz at all... Not even a question it would be a stupid decision. It would mean you don't believe in Tua and have mailed in the year
I think that decision would be the opposite of mailing in the year...first part with not believing in Tua is spot on though lol

Miami's last Three games home vs Pats then back to back road games at vegas and then Buffalo is a pretty tough schedule
Not to mention we can count on our buddy Greg Williams to blitz the ever-living sh*t out of tua regardless of if it actually helps the jets win or not lol pats and raiders back to back for them are going to be two real physical games

Kinda like what they are doing with Murray this year. I'm sure Tua will be next if the Phins keep winning, even though he hasn't been stellar.
And not to make excuses for anyone, but that game was played in a raging monsoon last night. Newton wasn't great, NE just had the better running game.
Exactly...lamar is still a great player he just can't reach the impossibly high bar that was set for him by the talking heads...that level of play last season as never going to continue its nothing against him. It honestly could be Greg Roman at fault I dont think we watch enough ravens game film on this board to be able to have any idea what's going on 🤣
