Now literally the whole sports world is laughing at us right now and riding Hopkins coattail. Hopkins have won me money before so I can’t even be mad at him
I watched this game with a lot of fans of various teams who described it as the luckiest play they've ever seen...so its not the whole world at the very least 🤣

It really was 2 poyer was late...those two were pretty well positioned though 🤣

For sure and I agree.
But at the end of the day the ball is in the air and you have 3 vs 1. One of those guys has to knock it down. You have heavy odds/physics on your side and one of those 3 have to make a play.
I think they had to make a play on the ball on Hopkins way down with it...white looks like he tries to pull it out of Hopkins hands which was never gonna work...poyer looked like he was trying to destroy Hopkins as he was catching it and mistimed his break or something. Im sure they're worried about tipping the pass away and another receiver catching it too

i saw that segment and thought it was dumb. Dungy gets the benefit of hindsight, but what team is running bump and run on a Hail Mary? The conventional wisdom is todrop everyone back to the endzone, which is what the Bills did. They then promptly covered the receivers. They just have to knock the ball down.
Can you realistically jam Hopkins at the line with one defender...you've gotta think it would take two right? Seems risky if he finds a way to beat those two guys... idk if thats something defenses actually try

I think I have. Echo chamber also is an accurate description of the responses I have gotten from a couple of guys.
I think we should have defended the play better. Generic and some others think there is nothing that could have been done. We disagree.
In the process, I was called a troll after being a member here for two decades. This discussion has reminded me why I hardly come by anymore after I used to spend hours here. Given that you are a moderator, you may want to consider that.
Be well.
I didnt mean to call you a troll my apologies... you are certainly entitled to your opinion I just honestly wasn't sure with that height comment. Deandre hopkins literally makes his living making that exact kind of play. It certainly couldve been disrupted from a pressure on the qb standpoint but once that somehow absurdly on target throw was in the air it was too late. These others you speak of are certainly not arguing that deandre hopkins height similarity to Jordan poyer means hopkins doesn't have a huge advantage in a jump ball situation or that he shouldve been interfered with. It was just an impossibly on target throw given the situation...if we had just let Murray sit in the pocket and fire a strike like that id be right there with you with being upset about it

We disagree.
Your moniker ("Generic") is appropriate.
Hopkins has 10+ inches on a jump ball over someone 2 inches shorter than him haha who is 'we'... this is just science and math and it is literally impossible to dispute 🤣 if you're saying we need some kind of equally freakish athlete of a DB to be able to stop that precise situation then sure let's go get em im on board

You and the other two can continue your echo chamber.
I am glad that you think that we did all we could do and you are happy. I don't, and I am not.
God bless.
You can definitely be unhappy lol im not telling you you should be happy...I just took exception to your point about any of the dbs being able to win a jump ball over Hopkins simply because they are similar in height and that they shouldve interfered with him...these points were both scientifically and factually inaccurate

If you cannot get to the ball while in the air, grab his arms so he cannot catch the ball. That would have been better than losing the game.
But hey, you and a couple of others continue to say that there was nothing the Bills could do . . . that is wonderful . . . for you.
But what you're saying is based on a completely inaccurate analysis of the situation and rules of football to almost trolling levels lol the odds of Hopkins coming down with that pass while its in the air are quite low still despite him being the only one in position to catch it...the odds the cardinals score from the 1 yard line after the pass interference wouldve been MUCH higher..wouldve been probably the worst pass interference in nfl history and thats not even hyperbole

If three guys cannot make a play on that Hail Mary . . . we are in trouble.
You can continue to make excuses.
You said earlier (what do you them to do, tackle the guy) - that would have been better than letting him score. You unintentionally solved the "mystery" if our three guys could not defend the play. Thanks.
Lol if you are 100% sure Hopkins is gonna high point a ball out of the air and hold onto it for a td then go ahead and interfere with him and give the cardinals the ball on the one yard line sure. But theres no way to know that while the ball is in the air! A PI there would have been the most boneheaded penalty in bills history and this board would've exploded 🤣 every team should just forfeit right now and give the super bowl to the cardinals if your bar for a team being good is being able to knock down a perfectly thrown jump ball to deandre Hopkins

Hopkins was tripled covered on a Hail Mary. If we (including our all pro CB) cannot defend that play . . . we are in trouble.
No one couldve defended that play...Murray could have 99 more shots at that throw and he ain't making it. It was literally perfection only Hopkins is catching that

They never should have let him catch that ball.
Period.
How...tackle the dude in the end zone? Lol give them an untimed down on the 1 yard line when you aren't 100% sure hes gonna come down with it when the ball is in the air?

You apparently are confused.
Hopkins listed height is one inch taller than Hyde and Poyer and two inches taller than White.
It is not like Lebron was posting up on them.
Hopkins has a 4+ inch higher vertical than white according to combine stats and hes 2 inches taller and tre has 4 inches less wingspan that adds up to a 10 inch difference haha I can't believe I had to actually spend time proving this 🤣

Hopkins has made a CAREER out jumping defensive backs are we really debating this fact 🤣

Dude...we have not lost on a hail mary in 50 years as far as i know.
Tell me otherwise. This was an epic, once in a lifetime loss. ...and your telling us to chill.
Just embrace this BS and wallow with all of us.
Idk i think this is a game to still be optimistic about...Arizona d had all the answers and we still battled it out

Do they track penalties by quarter? We've got to have twice what anyone else has in the 3rd quarter. Shouldn't be the case after the half-time break and adjustments.
All our penalties seem to be on the same two drives somehow haha it blows my mind...you can count on one drive per game where we have a 3rd and 34

The covered him no doubt. The pass was perfect and Hopkins out-jumped Tre. Tre didn’t strip the ball and Hyde didn’t disrupt anything at all from behind. Poyer got there late enough to not matter.
Tre pulls it away a bit but Hopkins is clearly stronger lol

More proof that the gods are not Bills fans.....uggg.....and more questioning whether my wife's right when she says "why do you do this to yourself?".....
It shouldn't have come down to a hail mary, or even a last minute Bills drive to win. The team once again had a 3rd quarter collapse fueled by penalties and both the DL and OL getting man-handled.
Honestly when else have we been unlucky this season though...the pats fumble felt a little flukes and that pi we got against the rams couldve gone either way...a stroke of bad luck was due

That was horrific.
It never should have happened.
Triple coverage and we still let him score on a Hail Mary. Ugh.
How did we let them lol im so confused...dude is tall and went up and caught a pass that only he could reach and white gave his best effort to rip it out

It seemed to me that our WRs had a difficult time getting separation today. I didn't expect that.
Their defense did everything right and it took a 50 yard hail mary to beat us

it's really not. Your take seems to be a homer-type take. If Poyer actually ran into White, then that is an issue of situational awareness. I also think we should have had a WR there and sent more people. When you blitz, Murray would have had less time and would not have made that throw, period. We are lucky we got any pressure there. Just a terrible play call on D.
Remember when gronk blew a tackle on a Miami kickoff return with no time left...

No. It actually does not.
The odds of blowing a 4 point lead with 34 seconds left with the ball on your 25 is much, much , much less than .5.
Coming down to a Completed Hail Mary passes - that does even happen once per season.
We had 3 guys at the ball and no one made a play on the biggest play of the game.
What are they gonna grow 4 inches mid play lol the throw was absurdly lucky

Bad coaching bringing this team down

This is to play devils advocate mostly because it is clear the 3rd quarter is our worst quarter but how are we having good 4th quarters if our coaches don't know how to make adjustments 😁
