If kc has the bye they’re very very likely going to the superbowl again.. if they lose this game it probably shuts the door on that whether it be us that wins it or Indy or whoever and turns it into a bit of a tossup it’s crazy huge for division tiebreakers too assuming that comes down to afc record which definitely could happen Absolutely massive game I really hope the majority of fans that will be there don’t feel the same as you but I do get what you’re saying 😂

Diggs had a big opportunity like that his last year here and dropped a wide open bomb that probably goes for an 80 yard go ahead td in a probable win if he catches it to be fair. I don’t think he really did much of anything in the 13 seconds game even. Didn’t even look like KC had to double him much in those big games His last 2 playoff games against kc, diggs had 6 catches for 28 total yards…decent game against kc in the 2020 playoffs but he seemed very locked up while it was still a game if I am remembering correctly. I think he had like 10 receiving yards until late in the third or something like that. if we’re holding the coaching staff/other players to the ‘kc in the playoffs is all that matters’ standard, diggs fails that test as much as anybody. not saying that means we shouldn’t add a wr obviously lol but it feels like Diggs is being misremembered here quite a bit.

Trent had the best game of his career the week after that Arizona game and had two decent games right after that too…I don’t think Trent’s concussion changed him at all that has always seemed like revisionist history to me. Cleveland dropped 8 in coverage like all game a month after his concussion and the dude was visibly completely lost and the book was out on him. He never adjusted

Jags listening to trade calls for Brian Thomas
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yea I think teams will ‘listen to calls’ about pretty much anyone…I take the whole ‘listening to calls’ thing with a grain of salt idk how common it is trading a first round pick on a rookie deal id imagine it’s super rare. He’d have to be borderline refusing to play for them to even consider it unless they got offered a hilariously one sided deal -
I still feel pretty good…I think fans are a little bit disconnected from win probability because nobody likes it when their team runs the football a lot haha feels like there’s a lot of ‘defensive coordinators just haven’t cared about stopping the run yet but just you wait they will soon’ style of thinking which I don’t really agree with i really think this running game with Hawes/gilliam involved is very much approaching the ‘you know it’s coming and good luck stopping it with your modern nfl defense’ level. I get the panic over the wide receivers and would like to see them add one, but to me a lot of it comes down to the defense which I’ve been pretty optimistic on them turning it around. If they get boatraced by kc ill probably be in panic mode haha

Strong chance Ravens miss playoffs?
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to TFBillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
If the bills can sneak by kc this weekend it’s gonna change a lot optics wise I think. Pats are stuck with one more afc loss right now and two more if they were to lose the rematch with Buffalo. They’ve still got a tough afc game against Baltimore on the schedule (maybe Buffalo too lol we’ll see where we’re at by then) and the bills would have one tough nfc game against Philly left and a few decent afc teams The ravens win was huge I’d feel a lot more uncomfortable if we had another afc loss right now -
A team that can pound the run from a three TE set or with a couple TEs/a wr that can run block etc when all those guys are competent pass catchers is gonna cause problems schematically for a lot of defenses. I totally agree with adding a wr don’t get me wrong, but this whole ‘teams just haven’t thought of stopping the run and it’s really easy to stop once you decide you want to stop it’ style of thinking isn’t really true imo as much as people think it’s just a mcd thing, nickel is pretty much the base defense of the nfl now and teams are loaded up on edge rushers to murder qbs on top of that. If you start forcing these teams into loaded boxes out of a more traditional defense you’re taking a lot of their best defensive weapons/plays off the field and out of the playbook so DCs aren’t super comfy doing that for long stretches. They might still be at a schematic disadvantage even if they do load up the box…Hawes really seems like he’s been an absolute terror lol pats game would be interesting to replay…they did a nice job slowing down the run but we had a ton of penalties and didn’t go as heavy on offense either. Yesterday Gilliam and Hawes seemed to have big roles which wasn’t the case in the NE game. I think we kinda shied away from running in the falcons game when they loaded the box a bit but could’ve ran them straight out of the building if we stayed committed to it

I wouldn’t say savior but even if he is mediocre he takes one of shavers/moore off the field who have been awful. I don’t think anyone is really trying to say Palmer is a great player based on what we’ve seen so far. Him being just ok would be a massive upgrade to what we’ve had the last few weeks though

Hate to say this … but the Pats are effing good
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think it’s just so similar to the Miami year everyone panicked over prematurely or you’d have more people panicking like you are. Not saying you’re wrong or right necessarily it’s still very much a ‘we’ll see’ type thing. vrabel might’ve figured it out after his first failed head coaching experience it’s def possible but that’s a we’ll see also. He wasn’t some kind of victim in Tennessee…the guy took over a perennial 9 win team run by mariota, chose to go with tannehill and eventually ran them straight into the ground. Making all these excuses for him sounds just like the people that make excuses for mcd idk how we can say he’s a 10x better head coach at this point -
10/26/25 GAMEDAY Bills at Panthers post game thread

If it makes you feel any better I think the receivers last year were just as bad if not worse(assuming palmer plays which he may not) and the offense did enough to beat the chiefs twice I’d say. They really were running at will for a lot of that playoff game…just came up short (allegedly 😂) on a couple qb runs haha should def trade for someone but even if they did it right now idk if they’d really be ready to meaningfully contribute in the chiefs game realistically -

This feels like sneaky good timing for the bills as far as scheme goes at least…extra rest compared to kc and just got a bunch of guys available on defense that there isn’t a lot of tape on. the Ed injury is a tough break though for sure -

Panthers are not known for not stopping the run though.. I think their run d was a bit overvalued based on schedule but they were solid/above average Jags ran on them week 1 but that was pretty much it. I don’t think anyone would’ve predicted this result. Bills probably could’ve cracked 325 yards rushing if they didn’t shut things down in the 3rd quarter I heard a lot of ‘the bills won’t be able to run and dowdle will run all over them making the game close’ from the haters which are things they got pretty wrong. There’s definitely this phenomenon where teams get labeled as ‘bad’ based on past years and it is automatically assumed these teams are not only bad overall but bad at every facet of football every year just based on name alone 😂
