Rd 2, Pick 33: WR Keon Coleman, Florida State

Giants and jags both could use receivers…I think Mitchell might keep falling. Should be interesting. Supposedly he’s got some character issues -

The 40 yard dash is something some guys work really hard specifically training for now too so it’s not like all that speed always translates to the nfl -

Don’t think so…pats more than likely would’ve taken him. -
lol they virtually just handed the bills an extra impact player assuming we use that new third to trade up our later second round pick. If recency bias was set aside it would be seen as a good trade for both teams at worst and heavily in the bills favor at best. That would’ve hurt us even more as we got further out from next year ironically enough. We ripped the bandaid off all at once pretty much. Diggs was not going to be worth that contract.. no idea if he mentally checked out or hit a physical wall or what but he was not the same player for a pretty big sample size of last year

Bills interested in Deebo Samuel per Mike Giardi

This normally seems to be what beane is doing…just putting feelers out with no serious intention -
The Bills are on the clock: Pick 33

Man I know Diggs is using this ‘I was doubled’ excuse but watching some of these games down the stretch idk if it was a physical decline or a mental decline or what but he wasn’t all there doubled or not -

Butttt they could’ve gotten Mitchell at 28 and everyone would’ve been fine with it haha how is it a nightmare of a draft getting extra free pick upgrades and the same guy that everyone was cool with taking earlier 😂 -
I don’t think worthy is quite the prospect Devonta smith was even if neither guy breaks in half lol. He doesn’t have the same release ability and isn’t gonna be as good catching balls in traffic I mean it’s easy to play the what if game in either direction right now lol. Beane finds gems in the day 2 range and they gifted us an earlier pick there. I think these knee jerk reactions are just mahomes trade spillover honestly, if anyone got played it’s probably the chiefs. ‘kicks our ass’ is a bit of a stretch haha

I agree with a lot of this and vehemently disagree with the key point…I don’t think beane should give any amount of hoots what the optics are if it helps the team lol. You’ve gotta trust your evaluations, you don’t pass up on an opportunity because you might’ve gotten the evaluations wrong 😂 national media are idiots caught up in the narrative if they can’t see that.

I genuinely don’t get this…any of those wrs left late 1st/still available early 2nd have the chance to be the best of that bunch and we moved up a decent amount of spots later in the draft and will get a guy likely every bit as good with our first pick. There’s a decent shot worthy would’ve still been there at 32 for the chiefs and they downgraded a pick for nothing. even bigger chance chiefs traded up to get a bust

Mahomes and his wrs were out of sync pretty much all season weren’t they lol I think this chiefs wrs season is pretty strong evidence that maybe offseason camps is too much football to use the bills as an example, someone like Gabe Davis played on the team for years and was still consistently on the wrong page. Idk how much an unofficial throw the ball around type get together could’ve possibly helped 😂 then you’ve got your Stefon Diggs types that are closer to hitting a mental wall if they’re overworked and it can be a negative thing. I do think josh did extra work with Kincaid last offseason

Mixed bag I’d say…overall it’s bad but ‘unmitigated disaster’ is a stretch imo. They got 5 current starters all in the good-great range that year (shakir, cook,Bernard, benford,Daquan jones) von is complicated, if he had underwhelmed his whole time here I’d put 100% of the blame on beane but von was an absolute beast pre injury. Maybe he bounces back a bit, time will tell. Tre was virtually useless the season after his knee injury and looked exponentially better the season after that

Last year even some of his big games were horribly inefficient imo. When you’re getting 16 targets against the giants, you’d expect more than 100 receiving yards and 0 tds I’d think. that stretch of Jax-Tampa where stuff went really sideways for the offense was too many Diggs targets with too little return imo. A lot of his damage against Jax was with the game pretty much over already I really don’t understand why they did this for this reason lol like they got a good deal for diggs but there’s a nonzero chance it blows up on them
