A lot of that is skewed by opponents imo and being dominant when Milano/jones were healthy. Jets x2, bucs,broncos,giants, patriots, raiders were more than half our games and those offenses are trainwrecks. Advanced metrics that adjust for opponents like dvoa are much less favorable towards the bills. We were dead last in defensive dvoa for a pretty decent stretch after the Milano/jones injuries

I’m not a fan of the icing the kicker timeout but the defensive timeouts were followed up by a false start and a huge no gain play keeping them in miracle fg range. If they pick up 4-5 yards there they make the field goal considerably easier. We are all over the defensive timeouts when the result that follows is bad but nobody talks about them when there’s a good result. Of course the miracle worked out though because why wouldn’t it 😂. The odds of us winning on a missed fg if we held them to no gain on that third down were much much higher than us going down the field in 20 seconds with 3 timeouts imo. That fg was like a 1/100 type play still absolutely hate the icing the kicker timeout though so I think some of the criticism is completely justified

That’s kind of a self fulfilling prophecy though lol. Nobody would say Josh is elite either if he had the exact stats he’s had the last few years and the team hovered around .500. It’d be the same ‘he’s got good stats but he’s not a winner/they lose because he turns the ball over’ argument.. Herbert’s got 114tds, 41 ints, about 17k yards passing in his 4 year career. That’s an average season of 29 passing tds, 10ints, 4250 yards. Josh is 162tds(passing)/73 ints/21611 in 6 years. Averages of 27 passing tds/12 ints/3601 passing yards the bills defense has just been way better than the chargers in the regular season the last few years but this year we are full chargering it up by folding on defense with a chance to win every single time

This is a weird take…that’s a pretty high percentage field goal and a comfortable lead if you make it…if you go for it there and get it, you’re still not guaranteed 7 points and might just end up settling for a fg anyway punting there only nets you a few yards of field position

I thought he’d get a full season next year but now it feels like there’s a chance we dump him this offseason. I feel like the bar is probably winning record he stays

Sounds about right..that gets him to 70% which is just over his season average with a wet football against the eagles defense on the road. Couple miscommunications too that likely could’ve resulted in catches but it’s tough to know who’s to blame in those situations

How many of those were drops…he also had 81 rushing yards and 2 rushing tds

I said ‘if we are entertaining this hypothetical’. The point was i don’t see how we would necessarily be a one and done playoff team IF we get hot at the end of the season and finish 4-1. I’m not predicting that it’s gonna happen. The logic just makes no sense that you can beat those teams and couldn’t have playoff success. A 4-1 finish means you had to have beaten minimum two playoff teams

This does seem to be the case…like the Brady pats vs Allen bills comparison in that post really stood out to me. I can’t recall the pats defense folding with a lead/chance to tie once offhand let alone 6 times in 12 games. Last season we won 13 because the defense could make plays in that situation occasionally. Allen throws bad picks for sure nobody is saying he doesn’t… compared to a hypothetically perfect qb though all the nfl qbs suck not just josh 😂.

Dorsey is actually seeming like he was part of the problem honestly haha averaging 33 ppg even though we took the 4th quarter off against the jets with him gone. Doesn’t mean there can’t be multiple bad coaches though 🤣

Even that pick yesterday was a pretty nice play…like I watch mahomes and tua and defenders are dropping picks that hit them right in the numbers lol

We are in the playoffs right now if bass is having a marginally better season. Easily cost us 1-2 wins.

This feels like it gets overhyped to me…tua is 2 turnovers behind josh with 11 less total tds in one less game played. Hurts is two turnovers behind also in one less game played. the guy with the best total td numbers when you factor in turnovers is Dak and everyone seems to think he’s a turnover machine 😂 I think a lot of this is they only really tell you when someone is leading a category so nobody knows the context… there’s a few supposedly great qbs that are right in line with josh in turnovers

What was it just before the fg…that was like a 1/100 type make I don’t think people are really grasping that lol. In decent weather that’s a tough enough fg

I thought bass would make that kick and it was essentially over with how our offense was playing I thought the eagles would miss that final fg when that ball was in the air in ot I thought we for sure won the game. I didn’t think we’d lose until Philly picked up a couple first downs on that final drive.

This isn’t that large of a group lol and I can absolutely understand the frustration but we are well into criticize everything when we lose regardless of if it is the right thing to do territory. Not speaking about this specific kneel call…I think you can make a case for doing either…but I have read plenty ‘the coaches should’ve done this what were they thinking’ type posts that were just absolutely insane this season 😂

I’d say the circus td on 3rd and 15 after the INT was a bigger impact. There’s just no way that can be allowed to happen should’ve gotten the ball back in a tie game

I think Miami will likely be resting starters and if not…why would you expect him to learn? Lol his fourth career game coaching against us was his worst yet. We are a bad matchup for them on both sides of the ball i guess yesterdays game is in the eye of the beholder, I’d give our defense some credit for the first half but you have gone the other way with it which is a personal choice 😁.

Really? I disagree. Took a lot of luck for the eagles to pull that one out and they’re arguably the best team in the league that was playing at home They wouldn’t hit both that jump ball to zaccheaus and 59 yard fg into the wind/rain once in probably 50 more tries what I don’t know is if we’ll play like that every game down the stretch. I’m expecting a 3-2 finish and missing the playoffs by a game but 4-1 has a chance. Winning out would be a miracle
