  1. Maybe this is more saying the same thing a different way and not disagreeing but I think mcd tried to do what he always does with much worse players in a few very important positions. From a pretty limited sample size of running with a heavier defensive formation it seemed like things could’ve gone even worse if we went that route 😂. Morrow was godawful
  2. Same sort of deal on the offensive side too…Baltimore didn’t really do anything complicated up front but they won a high percentage of 1v1 pass rushing matchups. Limiting separation is easy when you’re getting to the qb because your guys don’t have to cover long. Prime diggs got shut down all the time in that scenario. There wasn’t much of a ‘secret formula’ that Baltimore employed that other teams now can replicate. we also got a big panicky with the playcalling seeing the defense not able to slow them down too and abandoned the run a bit early imo. When we were actually running the ball we ran it as well as anyone has against that Baltimore defense.
  3. Not every team has Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry, likely, and Andrews lol. ‘Oh no there’s tape out there now’ has to be the most overblown thing in football. just because you can watch how another team beat an opponent doesn’t mean you can replicate it with the talent you have. Every opposing coach knows we have huge weaknesses at LB and safety right now and our nickel corner isn’t as good as the starter. It isn’t like Baltimore discovered it 🤣 biggest issue I’ve seen is we have way overcompensated for keeping mobile qbs in the pocket since halftime in Arizona and we’ve already faced the two most notable examples of that.
  4. It looked like they tried to go heavier early which led to a few extremely easy short throws leading to big gains really felt like a damned if you do damned if you don’t situation in this one specifically but overall that criticism seems pretty valid
  5. One or all of Milano/bernard/johnson playing would’ve made a HUGE difference in that game. watching the ravens pick on only our replacement level players had me wondering what the heck our other opponents have been doing lol. Ravens are probably best suited to expose a huge weakness at LBer though. Arizona is up there also so that game makes a ton of sense now too Its wild after what felt like a million years of no playoffs we have fans that can’t emotionally handle one loss lol
  6. Ravens are consistently one of the dirtiest teams I’ve ever seen
  7. Agree with the first part but idk how we could’ve gone heavier when the players that brings onto the field are even worse 🤣. Morrow got abused worse than anyone else whenever he was on the field that game was pretty much doomed from the start.
  8. That’s kind of where I’m at…it’s easy to say coaches had a bad night but I don’t think any other coaching staff does THAT much better with the talent we had on the field that night
  9. Hes sliding more often and protecting himself these days which is what you want in the regular season…hasn’t lost a step at all im sure it’s an honest critique it’s just wrong 😂
  10. Lol 3 weeks in is a comically small sample size. If you believe the best scoring defense last year suddenly has the worst pass defense in the league I just don’t know what to tell you. your new worst pass defense in the league based on this small sample size system? 4-0 Minnesota which is pretty funny because they are allowing 14.8 ppg
  11. The raiders didn’t crack 270 total yards as a team in that game lol y’all are makin it sound like they walked up and down the field. The ravens defense is good all around
  12. It could be yea…its way too early to look at season team stats
  13. Worst pass defense in the league after three games is the funniest thing getting parroted here 😂. Say what you will about the cowboys in the playoffs but they light it up in the regular season, then they had the chiefs week 1. That’s 66% percent of their games right there.
  14. Making claims like that about a defense after only three weeks when 66% of their games were against the cowboys and chiefs is pretty wild lol. If this was week 10 or something then yea go nuts with that
  15. Cam lewis and Hamlin are awful, Spector is bad. The ravens straight up victimized those guys and it made us one dimensional
  16. The defense will be back…our backups got absolutely victimized. the ravens went after them hard on just about every play to the point where I really don’t understand what anybody else was doing against us 😂 the oline is definitely concerning though
  17. Except when they don’t lol it’s just certain negative fans with an axe to grind downplay and make excuses to negate all the big wins. When they become the grand arbiters of ‘what constitutes a big game’, they can just claim only the losses are big games heck we beat this very same team we lost to tonight the last two matchups
  18. Out negative-ing the overly negative gameday thread posters is very hard to do 🤣
  19. Its almost like they had two weeks to correct issues and played better than they did in that raiders game 😂 the superbowl champion chiefs lost to the raiders last year
  20. Seems like a quoting the wrong post situation lol
  21. If the defense is that bad it actually helps Allen’s mvp chances ironically enough 🤣 a lot of his issue has been he misses a quarter plus of games where he could be dunking all over a defense with no answers pretty frequently because the game is a blowout
  22. I don’t understand why people didn’t come out of this game impressed by Coleman
  23. They really didn’t need to abandon anything…the full playbook was open in the mid third which is what makes that call/the game even more strange lol
  24. And then Coleman rattled off a few tough catches that second half 2023 diggs was not making…he looks pretty good to me that game was just one tag teamed OC/QB terrible decision away from being competitive also bonus round…the game where Diggs piled up the bulk of those catches the Texans lost
  25. Oh yea I get why it happened and we have the power of hindsight here haha there’s probably plenty of plays that he pulled off some magic for a huge play that was 0.2 seconds from a sack fumble too
