He is in the hall of fame because everyone who knows what the NFL is knows who Joe Namath is. Probably the most "famous" guy the NFL every produced. Hall of Fame is exactly where he belongs. If they create a hall of TD:INT ratio leaders, they can leave him out of that.

While Edmunds may not have been a liabilty in general, I have no memories of him stepping up in a clutch situation. General Patton is credited with the quote "Lead, follow, or get out of the way". I think it is possible Edmunds was "in the way" of the defense reaching its potential. It may have been Leslie Frazier's play calling.

First four trips to the red zone yielded 16 points. Against explosive offensive teams, this is probably not quite good enough. The red zone play calls and play designs don’t seem much different than last year. This level of red zone success is fine again average or below average teams. It is certainly eligible to improve as the new players have more games together. But I think to go deep in the playoffs it must improve.

The Leonard Floyd signing seems to be the key offseason addition. I love the McGovern,Kincaid,Torrence,Murray, and Harris additions too. But I think as the season goes on, we are going to appreciate that Floyd was a true missing link for us.

I love basketball and appreciate that the best point guard doesn't have to score any points. So far in three games, its hard to argue with T"ua the points guard's" results. So the question is how should it be stopped. So far three professional NFL DC's did not have the answer. I am sure I don't. But I will start with a question/proposition: I keep hearing how Tua is getting rid of the ball so quickly, that no pass rush can be effective. If I assume that to be true, then why pass rush with more than 3 and just play 100% Dime. The last thing Tua wants to do is run so we don't need to worry about that. Seems like this might force Tua to wait for plays to develop, which is not what he seems to thrive. Make Tua beat us deep.

Or maybe we just need more games against Sam Howell, Zach Wilson, and Jimmy Garapolo.
