The refs in the Steelers game completely blew that 4th down call. The play is dead when the ball carrier loses his helmet. Pickett was well short of the line when his helmet came off.

Refs love calling touchbacks and hate calling safeties. I’ve never understood it. The Browns should have challenged. Doesn’t get more clear than that.

Jets are expected to pursue Davante Adams this offseason

Not a chance they get anything near that. -

His price tag should be pretty low. It’s a salary dump by Vegas. -
WTF? Taylor was getting called for formation penalties early in the season, but he’s adjusted and been very good overall this season. The Chiefs drafted Skyy Moore late in the second round two years ago, and he’s sucked. They drafted Rashee Rice in the second last year, and he’s been excellent.

The Steelers are going to be the #1 seed

This same thing happened in 2020. Pittsburgh didn’t pass the eye test, yet they were 11-0 to start the season. They lost 4 of 5 down the stretch before losing in the first round of the playoffs. Nothing suggests that this season will be any different. -
If There's No 12th Defender, is Dorsey Still Employed??

Buffalo was dominated in that game. It was a miracle that wound up being as close as it was. Similar to last night, the penalty on the FG will make everyone forget just how lucky the Bills were to even be in a position to win. -
Bengals were 7-6 in 2021 and 4-4 last season. Things can change in a hurry.

If someone explained how it happened, you would swear they were lying.

You’re really trying to blame that fumble on Cook? You should try watching a game sometime.
-
The guy who just dropped the ball for no reason.
-
That was bizarre. TBH, it’s more concerning than either of his INTs tonight. There was a complete blown coverage, and he pump faked and then threw a really poor ball. All’s well that ends well I guess, but that was not a throw from a QB who trusts what he’s seeing.
-
Why did he pump fake? Shakir was WIDE OPEN. Still a big play, but what was he thinking?
-
Did Bernard touch that while OOB?
-
That’s kind of a personal question.

Refs called 2 holds and a false start on a 3 and out drive and people here are complaining about the refs.

Bills could be tied for 1st in the AFC at 7-4

People keep saying this here, but the two Super Bowl teams from last season are a combined 15-3 and alone in first place in their respective conferences even though neither seem to be playing to their full potential yet. -
Bills held players only meeting this week (For real this time)

Problem is KC made the Super Bowl in 2019, 2020 and 2022. Bengals made the Super Bowl in 2021. -
There's a really high chance that he does hit FA. The Chiefs let Charvarious Ward walk two seasons ago because they couldn't afford to keep him, and Sneed is going to get a massive contract. He's a top 10 CB in the league even though he never gets the recognition in the media. He's very good in coverage, but he's elite in run support and blitzing from the slot. Plus he can play the boundary reasonably well. I'm not sure how the Chiefs will be able to afford him. I guess it's possible that the league undervalues him as much as the media does and the massive offers don't come, but that's mostly wishful thinking on my part.

McDermott answers why we stopped uptempo offense

You were really close to nailing it, but then you went the opposite direction. There were 6 star players on the field Sunday night, and 2 of them were wearing blue. The last thing Buffalo wants to do is get into a track meet against the Bengals. The Bills defense is spending a ton of snaps on players who were intended to be their depth. Now you want them to extend the number of possessions and wear down their defense even more? Cincy’s offense against Buffalo’s defense is a mismatch. Even if you’re convinced that Buffalo’s offense has an edge over Cincy’s defense, the gap isn’t nearly as wide. The more possessions in the game, the larger the advantage the Bengals have. -
Tear it down, eat as much crap in 2024 as possible in terms of cap hits, and start the rebuild in 2025. If McBeane had banked a championship already, they could have done it this year before the hole got too deep. Because they didn’t have that luxury, they were forced to push in good money after bad in hopes of getting lucky and winning with a bad hand.

The live odds had Buffalo with a 22% chance prior to the fumble and 10.4% after.
