  1. I wasn't talking about whether Diggs benefitted from Josh...that is absolutely true. You responded to my post saying that Diggs helps his fellow receivers by drawing their best defensive back and in some cases safety help I'm good with moving on from Diggs, but we don't need to try and make him out to be some kind of bum that we were better off without. I simply want people to acknowledge that he is a very good player that made this team better when he was on the field I believe it was time also, and I don't blame Josh one bit if he said he's had enough. This can actually be something Josh can use to shut up all those that wanna act like Diggs made Josh Allen into the player he is, and that he'll be worse without him. If Josh can ball out this season and the Bills once again win the division with at least 10 wins, then I would imagine that he would be in serious conversation for MVP
  2. Even if this is true, he's still being covered by a team's top defensive back The Bills receivers benefitted from Diggs being on the field. This is not even a discussion
  3. TBF, this doesn't account for the attention Diggs was likely receiving from the teams best corner with a safety shaded over his way also
  4. They have alot to prove this season before I can say they passed us
  5. I like Legette. He reminds me of AJ Brown...just a physical guy that can run and catch. He's big and fast enough with the physicality to win contested catches. I also like Coleman, although I'm not sure he's quite fast enough to be a number one. My preference is to get two guys in the first two rounds. I would be fine standing pat and drafting someone at 28 with a trade back for Legette, or Coleman, or Mitchell, or Worthy. I am not opposed to drafting Thomas, but I'm not moving up for him, and I'm getting another guy that is more NFL ready so he isn't forced into trying to be the guy right away.
  6. I will tell you this...Beane and McDermott better make damn sure that they beat the Texans when the play them this year or it's going to look really bad for this franchise. Another scenario I wouldn't mind is if Houston can beat the Chiefs.
  7. Brian Thomas has huge bust potential. Doesn't seem to have good hands, doesn't display toughness, and hasn't shown the ability to run good routes either I get that he's big and fast, but the tape doesn't lie. He either ran by people and was wide open, or he caught a screen pass and made a play. It certainly didn't hurt having Nabers on the other side with Daniels as the QB either He is a project that might not ever realize his potential. It's not what this team needs
  8. This is the best move for the roster moving forward IMO They shouldn't move multiple high round picks to grab a WR in the first round in a WR rich class. If you wanna move up in round two because there is still someone you considered worthy of the pick you wanna go up to in order to draft them, then that is much more affordable and doesn't take much away for next season when you now will have at least three picks in the first two rounds.
  9. What we got in return for unloading Diggs is actually a fairly good return. The Vikings second rounder will likely be much higher than Houstons would be. Not getting a pick this season stings a bit, but that pick we got will be a pretty valuable pick come 2025. Diggs is expensive, troublesome, aging, and didn't produce at his expectations the last half of last season. They did fine with what they got...I just wish it would've given us an immediate return instead of the season after. CJ Stroud likely OK'd the acquisitions of both Mixon and Diggs. They are choosing to go with acquiring talent route and ignoring the chemistry/locker room component. Things may start off ok, but those guys could become a problem in the blink of an eye. It will be interesting to watch them in the coming years
  10. This is a move you cannot afford to make when your paying a premium for a franchise QB...the picks are too valuable, and the cost for said players contract just isn't optimal for the construction of a well rounded roster
  11. If he's a major contributor in the Texans winning a Lombardi, I would take that bet He's gonna have the numbers. The question will be whether he can help take a team to the promised land I have no idea what kind of impact Diggs will have, but I would imagine he will be a factor for at least his first couple years
  12. Not just this, either A contending team that has a window to win (JA and the Bills) choosing to lose a pick or a player now for a future pick is shorting your team for now in order to have more in the future I'd rather do everything possible to contend every season that Josh Allen is our QB then to punt on one
  13. I would try to hold onto Minnys pick being they may be pretty bad this upcoming season. It would take the sting out of having no first next season if we have a high second instead of what will likely be a later mid round selection And I do love Nabers...maybe moreso than MHJ. But if I were Brandon Beane, I would stand pat and take Legette, Mitchell, or Coleman, and then double down using next year's first to get a high second and select another one. This increases the likelihood that you solve the WR issue along with still having a second this season to go and add another possible impact player to the roster.
  14. You're mistaken if you think that defensive coordinators weren't prioritizing the coverage of Diggs before anyone else Calling him closer to an afterthought is simply sour grapes on your part
  15. I don't know how much this hurts us as a team this season, but I do know those that are now ripping Diggs performance in the last half of the season and in the playoffs since he's no longer a Bill are probably not thinking about the attention he was getting which allowed guys like Shakir to make plays. That stuff matters, and now those players will have more attention coming their way. Just putting things in perspective a bit Another thing I want to comment on is that Beane has really done something very unlike him...which is to paint himself into a corner in the draft. Now the Bills have made it blatantly obvious that we need to draft wideouts, and early at that. What I'd like to see is for him to stand pat and draft a Legette, Mitchell, or Keon Coleman if he feels they are worthy of the spot they would be selected. If Beane does decide to move up, then he better be absolutely positive he's getting a star because it's going to cost us alot this year and probably next as well Beane also better hope the Texans don't beat us and advance further in the playoffs. That will make things even more embarrassing for a franchise that doesn't need anymore of that
  16. Number one wide receivers aren't easily found
  17. The draft value chart is simply a guideline for those that don't know Teams have done deals that were significantly less and significantly more on the chart, so ultimately it doesn't mean a whole lot
  18. No immediate return automatically drops the grade And each subsequent year we don't have a number one wideout, it drops more
  19. He's looking to be paid as one of the top receivers in the league Not worth it
  20. A second this season would have helped more That pick may end up being a high second also, so I would value it at that when negotiating a trade of that pick It's probably a better idea to hold onto it otherwise
  21. The major getback for Diggs needed to be something for this season. The second rounder next year is just not acceptable for a return
  22. There's two problems with Josh Allen 1. He was labeled a bust by the media, so they will always ensure to never give him the credit he deserves and will work tirelessly to make sure he's not MVP 2. He plays for a franchise that is cursed
  23. Will this guy be a difference maker vs Mahomes or Burrow when it counts? The answer is no, and that is why someone Allen can utilize to outduel him is the only correct answer when talking about who we should draft in the first round
  24. Power move by the Jets They are going to put a ton of pressure on everyone, including Josh
  25. I'll say this...Gabe Davis was made by Josh Allen, and I don't think he will be missed at all. Samuel, Hollins, and whoever else we draft is a massive improvement to our receiving group. The defense will mostly depend on if Von can be a force rushing the QB. The safety position will likely get at least one guy in the draft to compete with the current group...so while I do have concerns about the safeties and the lack of speed in our secondary, I think they should be about the same as last season. We need to get a WR and Safety that can play in this draft, and we need OL and DL prospects to groom for the future
