If it were me I would give the starters the first quarter which is probably two series for the both the O and D. After that start bringing in the backups. You are right about playing the starters as even Mahomes played some last week for KC. I don't want them kicking it off in LA without the starters getting some reps in game action.

Every team should play preseason games against the other conference. Take this week for example the Bills and Broncos could meet in the playoffs this year. I know teams have a vanilla game plan but why play against a team you might be fighting for a playoff spot with or play in the playoffs.

I get there are ups and downs in a season but this "down time" is going on a little too long for my liking. WTF happened to this team. They are lucky they have a big lead in the division. Need to get out of this slump which seems like its been 3 weeks to a month now.

It's only preseason but the INT he threw the other night was awful. He looked just as confused out there as last season. It's still very early but I wonder if he can't handle the mental aspect of playing QB at the NFL level.

I thought our backups on D did fairly well against the Colts starters minus JT. Especially since the Bills turned the ball over a lot. Holding them to a FG on Keenum's first INT was pretty impressive.
