Bills, Steelers week 1 temperature check
Greg S replied to QBorBust2018's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think this will be a very close game. I miss opening up against the Jets as it was a guarantee to start 1-0. Sabres 27 Penguins 24 -
What's going on with the Jets and their Spleens

That never gets old. -
True but you have to figure the Yanks will cool off a little at some point as they obviously won't keep winning at this rate. But 4 back with 36 left is definitely doable. Should be a good race to the end.

Didn't the Bills torch Saleh's D last season when he was the 49ers DC. Hopefully the Bills do that again twice this season. -
Eleven in a row. Don't think they catch Tampa but they should get a WC. I never thought that was possible the way things were going. It just shows that baseball season is so long that you can play like crap for months and still save your season.

Bills and Steelers to get #2 CBS announcing team

I am surprised CBS would give up the Bills-Dolphins game to FOX. That is a pretty good AFC matchup. -
Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports The AFC runner-up Buffalo Bills and the AFC North Champion Pittsburgh Steelers have drawn the number 2 announcing crew from CBS on opening weekend. Ian Eagle, Charles Davis, and Evan Washburn will be on the call from Orchard Park as a raucous crowd returns to Highmark Stadium in full voice for the first time in almost two years. The AFC Champion Kansas City Chiefs hosting the Wild Card Cleveland Browns have drawn the top commentating trio of Jim Nantz, Tony Romo, and Tracy Wolfson. The Bills vs Dolphins tilt in Week 2 is on FOX, so the announcing pairings have yet to be released. Here are the CBS announcer pairings for the year: Jim Nantz, Tony Romo, Tracy Wolfson Ian Eagle, Charles Davis, Evan Washburn Kevin Harlan, Trent Green, and Melanie Collins Greg Gumbel, Adam Archuleta, AJ Ross Andrew Catalon, James Lofton Spero Dedes, Jay Feely Tom McCarthy, Tiki Barber

Bills preseason games on NFL Network
Greg S replied to CuseBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Directv customer here. Last night it said Bills at Bears 8:00 on the NFLN and yet it was Giants and Browns. Anyway this Saturday on Directv at 1:00 its Packers at Bills live. Looking forward to the game. -

For me its 1. white on white (throwback) 2. blue over white 3. white on white 4. white over blue 5. As for the others make a big pile and set them on fire. Why haven't the Pegula's brought back the blue over white throwbacks? Those are really nice looking as well.

Around the League Training Camp Thread
Greg S replied to Buffalo Boy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I didn't know that. Makes sense if Fields isn't ready especially playing at the Rams on SNF and Aaron Donald. That would a tough start for a rookie QB. -

Per ESPN the Bears name Dalton the week 1 starter over Fields. -
Just saw Diggs practicing in a white jersey today. Don't the Bills have a policy that whatever color jersey the offense is wearing in practice that week is what they will wear for the game.? If that still applies then its white on white vs GB this Saturday.

You just reminded me of the days of Nick Mike-Mayer.

Probably. After no preseason last year I could see teams holding out starters until the season starts. I remember when LT played for the Giants he was out with a "serious" injury during the preseason but "magically" was 100% ready for week 1.

I don't know about "multiple". The Bills should have won the Giants game. The Redskins just flat out kicked the **** out of them. The Cowboys were the better team. The turnovers in the first Cowboys game didn't help.

They win a Super Bowl then immediately become the best team the Bills had during the Super Bowl era. Before my time and the game was much different then but they would be on the same level as the 64 & 65 AFL champions. Those teams will have been the only teams to win a championship for Buffalo.

The 2nd best team in the AFC East is…
Greg S replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't think anyone is taking them lightly but not having Brady is a big loss for them. They will probably be in the playoff mix because of their D, OL and running game but without Tommy boy they are no longer "THE PATS" but just another good team the Bills should beat. -
I think its hard to compare from different era's. Back in the 90's teams could play defense. Today if you sneeze on a player its a 15 yard unnecessary roughness penalty. Right now the 90's teams get the nod because of what they accomplished. But if this group can win a Super Bowl than that changes everything.
