Which is why Beane hopefully improves the OL this offseason. I know the Bills scored over 500 points last year but I still would like them to be more balanced on offense. Think Cleveland. Mayfield while not as good as Allen can still make all the throws but they can also run the ball down your throat with Chubb. Granted the Bills don't have a RB as talented as him. If teams had to respect the Bills run game then think of how much more dangerous the Bills passing game would be. A better OL goes a long way in accomplishing this.

Mahomes may be the best QB in the league but he also gets lucky a lot with his improvising. Last week after Cleveland went up 29-20. Mahomes then throws up a prayer which gets caught for a 75 yard TD pass on the very next play from scrimmage. He literally just threw it up there like a hail mary play. Cleveland has to stop that. It should have been stopped. That particular play was more lucky than good.

I know the "any given Sunday" thing but if the Bills can't beat the Texans at home then what kind of Super Bowl chances do we really have.

Can the Bills win a SB without a killer instinct
Greg S replied to Rebel101's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Pitt is also a good team. They started 11-0 last year, have a future HOF QB who while not in his prime can still make plays. Tomlin is a very good HC. I thought the Bills would win a close one but I am not surprised they lost. Pitt has a good D that caused problems for our offense. Its not like we lost to the Jets here. -
The one thing an 0-2 start would do is it would make getting the #1 seed almost impossible. The AFC is loaded with good teams. I expect the Bills to win the division but an 0-2 start probably has them playing on WC weekend. First things first get a win this weekend and get to 1-1.

Week 2 I would take NE over the Jets. Belichick against rookie QB's. It's Wilson's turn to see ghosts.

If they lose to Miami then they will have to find a way to get a split in the B2B road games at KC/TEN. I expect them to beat a Fitzless WFT and hapless Texans team at home in weeks 3 and 4. So if the Bills win Sunday then there is a very good chance they are 3-1 heading into KC for SNF.

I know they say they won't renew but if push comes to shove I think they will renew on a year to year basis or a short term lease until its gets figured. I believe the Chargers and Raiders did that for the longest time when they were in SD/OAK. While those teams eventually moved I doubt that happens here. Everyone knows how important the Bills are to WNY. The Bills are Buffalo and are one of the main reasons Buffalo is on the map nationally.

Our Solution for the Offense....Josh Gordon
Greg S replied to aristocrat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree the sky isn't falling and I still expect the Bills to get around 11-13 wins. I think its Allen who protected the OL with his scrambling and ability to avoid the rush. Our run game wasn't very good last year either. This is a discussion more for the offseason than now but I hope Beane looks to improve the OL for 2022. My pick for this week is 24-20 Bills and they will be in a 3 way tie for first around 4:00 Sunday afternoon. Since the division is playing each other who do we want in the other game Pats or Jets? For me I live in NJ so I deal with obnoxious Jets fans all time. Wouldn't mind seeing them drop to 0-2 just to shut those ****er's up even though I hate NE as well. -

The solution for this offense will have to come in the offseason. No matter how this year plays out Beane must improve the OL. Last year it was average at best but Allen's ability to escape the rush made them look better. If game 1 is any indication it will be more of the same especially against physical defenses. -
I think they also win but I don't know about easy. They are playing in their home opener even though Bills fans will represent well. They will want payback for the beatdown the Bills gave them last season. Division games are usually tough. I will say 24-20 Bills.

If the Bills are who we think they are then they will be 1-1 sometime around 4:00pm Sunday afternoon. If not then time to re-think the expectations for the season.

No surprise. Once he was practicing yesterday you knew they had a deal in place. -

The one good thing about a Cowboys loss is you won't have to listen to Michael Irvin on Inside the NFL next week ranting and raving about how the Cowboys are Super Bowl bound. -

Hopefully the refs can do a better job in the NFL than the CFB refs. It seemed like every hard hit last weekend was reviewed for "targeting". -
2019 - Bills 17 Jets 16. The Bills come back from a 16-0 deficit. Leaving MetLife that day and seeing all the pissed off Jets fans was priceless.

Kyle Brandt makes his Super Bowl prediction. MOUNT UP!!!

Speaking of Kyle. I hope the Bills bring back Kyle Williams to lead the charge at some point. He bled Bills football(and probably still does) as well as Buffalo in general. Speaking of Kyle. Tampa wins tonight. I hate the Cowboys more with the whole "America's team" BS. Plus Jerry Jones is a bigger douche than Brady. IMHO -
I go back to Allen's rookie year and the win at Minnesota. The Bills were a huge underdog but Allen show flashes of what was to come. It worked out as Allen has developed into a franchise QB. To me it was this game where it started for Allen.
