Boomers: Does Derrick Henry remind you of Cookie Gilchrist?
Greg S replied to John Gianelli's topic in The Stadium Wall
He reminds me of Earl Campbell with the way he runs over people and punishes them -
To me the original Halloween in 1978 is still the best. The 2nd one where he is chasing her all over the hospital was pretty good as well. They should have stopped it right there. They had the perfect ending to it with him walking down the hall burning in flames. After that it became overkill. There is only so much you can do with these slasher type of movies.

He has done a very good job up to this point. He along with McDermott have built a winning culture. The Bills record over the last 4 years with roster he built along with coaching prove that. No matter how this season plays out I just hope Beane focuses on the OL this coming offseason in FA and the draft.

The Turning Point In the Monday Night game For Me
Greg S replied to wagne591's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't think their is one particular moment when this game was lost. It was a combination of things. Defense...couldn't get a big stop as the Titans scored on every drive in the 2nd half. Offense....poor night in the red zone. Settling for FG's instead of getting TD's Penalties....wiped out TD's -
Correct me if I am wrong but if KC beats TEN then we leapfrog over them. We are 4-2 they will be 4-3. Obviously we have to win our extra game when they are on their bye week but the Bills would be ahead of TEN.
-
Two games of interest this bye week. Chiefs at Titans and Bengals at Ravens. Go Chiefs and Bengals.
-
Despite the struggles in the red zone the Bills have scored 203 points thru 6 games. It shows they score a lot outside the red zone. Hopefully they figure it out before the Dolphins game. They will definitely need to improve going forward especially against the tougher teams.
-
I would guess 11 wins is their floor with 13 being their ceiling.

Are we getting spoiled by how good Allen is?
Greg S replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Bills play in a division with Moe, Larry, and Curly. I know its only 6 weeks in but both the Bills and Cowboys(same reason as the Bills) have clinched playoff spots already. Unless injuries or covid hits you might as well put that little "y" next to their name in the paper that says "clinched division". -
I am curious to see if the Bengals can give the Ravens a run for the division. Everyone assumes its between the Ravens and Browns. I wouldn't take the Bengals lightly if I were Baltimore.

Last night was a bad game for them but overall the D is much better than last season. Allen has more weapons on offense especially with Knox emerging as real threat. It sucked to lose and it was a tough loss because they were so close to winning. Reality is they weren't going 16-1 and they will probably lose 1 or 2 more. This team will win the division and play a home playoff game. Like others have mentioned its to early to worry about the #1 as their are 11 games left to play.
-
I don't know about KC with that defense. The Chargers have a bad defense as well but I see them winning the division reducing KC to a WC.
-
A large percentage of the Ravens rushing yards comes from Jackson.
-
It took a great special teams play by the Steelers to win that game. The Bills D held the Steelers O in check for the most part. Watt was healthy that game and he is a game changer on defense. He is the exact kind of player the Bills could use to make their D elite.
-
The only team I would hate to see the Bills play a playoff road game against is the Ravens. Any other opponent I think the Bills would have a good shot to win. Hopefully it doesn't come to that and the Bills can get homefield for the playoffs.
-
We will have to wait until the draft and FA for any real changes or improvement.
-
Exactly. Don't want to push the panic button as the team will be fine. They will win the division and have as good a shot as the other contenders to win the Super Bowl. That said the OL has been an issue for a while now. Josh's ability to scramble covers up a lot of their weaknesses. Could you imagine Kelly playing behind this OL. He would get killed.

The Titans play at home vs the Chiefs this Sunday. If the Chiefs win there is your Titans loss. If the Titans win it buries the Chiefs even further back in the AFC playoff race.
-
They are going to win the East so they will have at least home playoff game. Does that happen on WC weekend or the divisional round is the question. I definitely want the Bills to avoid going to Baltimore. Playing at the Chargers or Titans is not that big of a deal since the Bills fans will represent very well there. But if they have to play the Ravens I want that one in OP.

I think the Bills will get a scare from the Jets at MetLife. The Jets defense particularly their front 7 is pretty good. They could out physical the Bills OL and make life difficult for Allen. I don't think the Bills will lose as I expect the D to make life miserable for Wilson. The Jets have nothing to play for and they will look at this game as their Super Bowl. I could see the Bills escaping with a close win. Last year at MetLife they only won 18-10 by kicking 6 FG's. The Jets for some reason play the Bills tough despite the Bills having much better talent.
-
No matter how the season plays out I hope Beane focuses on the OL in the upcoming draft. Its been an area of concern for a while now. Imagine how it would look if Josh wasn't a QB who could avoid the rush.
-
I would have kicked the FG and gone to OT.

Most of the "fixes" you are talking about will have to wait until April to fix.

Blue Pants: the real reason we lost
Greg S replied to 2020 Our Year For Sure's topic in The Stadium Wall
By this logic if the Bills make it to the Super Bowl then they should avoid wearing blue over white. Since they got their asses kicked in 3 Super Bowls wearing them. Many reasons why the Bills lost but the uniform isn't one of them.
