Maybe maybe not. Either way it REALLY sucks. Hughes/Hendrickson/Rousseau on the edge with Ed/Harry/Reader inside would have been an ideal DL lineup. Hard pass on Green. He is washed. We don’t need any more route running possession WR’s. You are better off having 3 WR’s with different skill sets than 3 of the same. Diggs and Davis are not burners. Diggs is a great route runner move the chains guy. Davis is similar but has more size for those red zone contested skinny posts. We have no one who can burn you for 50 yards off play action if the DB cheats for a split second. The Chiefs are so prolific because their top two targets are of course superstars but have completely different skill sets. Kelce isn’t running fly routes and Hill isn’t running 5 yard digs or catching fades in the end zone.

I think I can name like 2. Over 20 years. People don’t realize the Bills were missing the playoffs every single year not because they tried to overpay Ryan Fitzpatrick, but because they were trotting out BUMS like EJ, Thad Lewis, Trent Edwards, Jeff Tuel, JP Losman and etc etc. Those guys didn’t hurt the team because of their cap hit, they hurt the team because they were GARBAGE.

What is the point of that? If they can’t win a Super Bowl with Lamar, why save money to build around a lesser version?

It extremely bothers me that the Bengals got to the Super Bowl by rebuilding their DL with guys that we pursued. They grabbed Reader and Hendrickson, and both of those dudes have been GREAT. They would have been great here and we had a lot of interest in both. Just sad.

Flores wasn't good as a head coach. And he hated his black QB. His owner chose the black QB over the black coach. Flores is not going to win. He is torpedoing his career for nothing. A former Bills AGM wanted to hire a former Bills OC with an impressive resume because he had worked with him. That former Bills AGM did his due diligence in interviewing other candidates because that's what a good manager would do. But he wanted Daboll and he hired him. The rest is just smear and hearsay.

Bro they started out the season 1-7 and he basically treated their young QB and top 5 pick like *****. They also were woeful in their do-or-die games. The legend of Brian Flores continues to grow. AFAIK, Flores isn't claiming he was fired because of racism anyway, so who cares? He's mad he didn't get the job he wanted. Vance Joseph went back to coaching defenses. Gary Kubiak went back to OC. McDaniels crawled back to OC and didn't get another chance at HC for 10 years.

It's very very rare for an HC to get fired from his current job and immediately walk into another HC job. Even BB had to wait 5 years in-between Cleveland and NE. Caroll had to go to USC. Harbaugh went to Michigan. Andy Reid did. But Andy went to the playoff 9 times, went to the Superbowl, 4 straight conference championships. etc. Flores couldn't hold a candle to Andy Reid.
