He had 3 turnovers. Sure, some bad luck involved. If your QB has 3 TO’s and you lose, your QB is probably a big reason why you lost. This is a fact everywhere but Bills land. Allen still runs backward and takes horrific sacks trying to throw sideways lol. Probably not the year to talk about Allen’s “improved” decision making tbh.

DaQuan Jones is BACK - will play vs the Patriots

Huge to have the DL at near full strength with the Dolphins coming up. -
The guy I’m conversing with has Josh at #1. The guy he thinks is worse, Patrick Mahomes, has had multiple streaks of great games in the postseason. Again, these are all my points of contention.
-
Because Josh is supposedly the best QB in football? Shouldn't his standards be higher than getting carried to the Super Bowl (and losing) like Joe Burrow?
-
Okay. That’s good for him.
-
This isn’t about offense vs defense. @HappyDays thinks the expectation for Josh to have 4 straight games playing excellent is crazy. I ultimately agree, because Josh has only had 2 excellent games back to back once ever in the postseason.
-
I'm actually boiling it to two. You say the expectation for Allen is to perform at his peak is for 4 straight games. I'm saying that in his best playoff run, he was at his peak for a maximum of 2 games, ONCE. Yeah, I kinda expect better than that.

Defense picked up Allen and the offense vs the Ravens. Lamar and those boys got punked, no thanks the offense. Go ahead and look at the Ravens season averages that year, I think they averaged a little bit more than 3 points per game lol. And their defense was allowing 18 PPG, Bills offense only scored 10. Allen rewarded the defense the next week with another stinker. And the “best QB in football” gets the hand-wave of “no one on that team was ready to compete with the Chiefs.” What kind of nonsense non-sequitur is that? Offense had two really poor showings back to back in our most successful season since 93. Really, one singular game in 2021 is driving this entire world-view and revisionist history which is really funny. It’s like saying Matt Flynn’s teams kept letting him down because he had that 6 TD game that one time.

Man, if only Allen had a defense that outscored the reigning MVP and clinched the game with a pick six when he was struggling mightily. Surely, he could have a bounce back excellent outing in the AFCCG.

The 2024 Thanks and Optimism Thread

I am thankful that the Mario Williams signing is still regarded as “not working out” when the man had 38 sacks in 3 years, along with 2 All-Pro and 2 Pro Bowl nods, while Von is “arguable” having not yet played a full season for the Buffalo Football Bills. Otherwise I would have nothing to nitpick. -

I think they are still gonna cut him this off-season, don’t you? The real debate is, does Russell Wilson make the HoF?
-
I don’t care

Does the Bills Fan Base Need to Cut Miller Some Slack?

Double teaming like using their left and right arms? -
I was wrong. Happens so rarely, I don’t mind admitting it.
-
He’s benched already lol
-
Yeah you aren’t adding them for 2022 which is why it’s wrong. Harty and Sherfield have 200 yards on the year. For $5.5M against the cap. Just a brutal investment.
-
You’re missing rushing. That counts as production. Although in Harry’s case (4 carries for 0 yards), it doesn’t really. Lol

It’s weird that AJE’s page has his snap counts higher than the team page. Must be calculating it differently. I would feel pretty confident in a wager that AJE doesn’t eclipse 8 sacks more than once in his career, if that. I’m sure some team will feel as you do and overpay him, only to find out situational pass rushers do not actually project out 1:1 play time to sack totals. One only has to look at our own Leonard Floyd, who played 86% of snaps last season for 9.5 sacks in 17 games, and is playing 54% of snaps this season for 10.5 sacks in 15 games. If your projection held true, he should have half the sacks he currently does. Of course, that’s not how it works. There’s millions of examples of this. Bills legend Mario Addison had 11 sacks in 2017. He played more snaps the next two years and had less sacks both years. Seeing as only 19 players in the NFL actually had double digit sacks last season, I’m confident that AJE won’t be one of top 20 anytime soon. I guess we’ll see.

That's what PFR says: https://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/buf/2022.htm

2022: McK, Shakir, Crowder: 699 yards, 6 TDs 2023: Shakir, Harty, Sherfield: 667 yards, 3 TD's Money well spent lmao. Shakir ended up doing the heavy lifting anyway.
