I mean he did lose his OC and his receivers do suck. Have you watched them lead the league in drops, some of which directly cost them games? Mahomes hasn’t been Mahomes, but saying his receivers suck isn’t an excuse. It’s reality. Just like it’s reality that Josh turns it over too much, even though he is a one man offense, and doing it without a true #1 or #2.

Yep. This ain’t the same old Chiefs. Historically, Mahomes had a pretty good winning record when down double digits. That’s no longer the case.

The Bills were supposed to beat the Steelers, they have the better QB, the HC is a push, and the Steelers can’t win games without TJ Watt. That’s why the spread was 10 points. Expectations are there for a reason. You would be calling it a total failure if we lost to that team, so why is the media so wrong for saying we were supposed to win?

While everyone is talking about Mahomes vs Allen and the shootout potential of this game based on previous matchups, I went back and crunched the numbers. The 2023 Bills are 11-2 when they reach double digit points before their opponent. With their two losses being the Jets meltdown which they should have won, and their Eagles shootout that was a play or two away from being a W. Conversely, the Bills are 1-4 when the opposing team gets to double digits before they do, the one win being the second Dolphins game that was marred by self-inflicted wounds in the first half. The 2023 Chiefs are 8-2 in games where they reach double digit points before their opponent. They are 3-4 in games they do not (not including the Chargers-Chiefs backup fest.) So what does this tell us? Shootout or not, neither team has been great as the “answerer” to the fast start by an opponent. I want the offense to get points every possession, obviously. But that’s not realistic. What’s realistic is come out swinging, get a fast lead, and then hold on. That’s when the Bills especially are at their best.

Passing offense looks about as expected with an aging WR1, a fifth round second year player and a rookie TE being your best receiving targets in a bad scheme with a new OC trying his best to fix it mid season.

The Bills and Chiefs are kind of Jekyll and Hyde imo when it comes to their warts. My prediction is whatever team starts the hottest will win. Similar to Steelers, the Chiefs don’t really have the horses to comeback down double digits. But honestly, not sure the Bills do either unless Josh plays out of his mind. If the Chiefs get up 10-0 early or even 7-0 on their second possession after we go three and out, I will feel extremely nervous. Conversely, if we get a 10 point lead early, I think we win the game going away.

My gut told me to put a considerable amount of money on the Bills winning the AFCE and the AFC, along with the Texans to win the AFCS, when the Bills were 6-6. I did just that. so the answer is yes.
