  1. “still is playing at a very high level” citation needed. Vikings fans aren’t clamoring to ditch Jefferson because he’s still elite.
  2. You know Diggs signed a 5 year extension with the Vikings and forced his way out in 2 years, right?
  3. I’m arguing the correlation between snaps and sacks is not that strong, not that it’s an inverse relationship lol.
  4. No. But there never will be. Diggs ain’t gonna listen to Mack Hollins. Brady is famous for reigning in Randy Moss (probably with some help from Bill). It wasn’t Wes Welker or Deion Branch.
  5. This would make me sad. If Josh can’t maintain control of Diggs, and we are relying on Mack Hollins to do so, let’s just trade him post 6/1 and be done with it.
  6. Jordan Poyer was a player in the league for 4 years. That’s the EXACT kind of player I want McD to target. A cheaper FA that they like and think has starter potential. I don’t want a fifth round rookie. McD is a great DB coach but he couldn’t coach up Hamlin from being horrific out there.
  7. Correct. Not good enough to be this strange.
  8. Ooooh oooh let me guess. Saquon to Houston Chris Jones to Houston Greenard retained
  9. That Trent Sherfield sucks and he’s not an ideal player to start against our biggest playoff rival that has a 3 time champion HoF QB/Coach combo? It’s not that hard of a narrative to push. It’s pretty factual.
  10. Nope. Just Sherfield sucks. That was a terrible retort.
  11. Probs more about: 7 35 21
  12. Trent Sherfield is good because we won the AFCE and made the playoffs. I guess then AJ Klein is good, Elam is good, Mitch Trubisky is good, and Kyle Allen is good too. Hey, we made the playoffs! They can’t be bad. This makes sense.
  13. Maybe if our receivers were better than Mahomes’, we would’ve been to a Super Bowl. Unfortunately, we got stuck with Trent Sherfield and his alligator arm efforts led us to need a FG to tie in the closing minutes. Which was predictably shanked. No one is saying Beane sucks or the Bills suck. Their WR management and group has been overall insufficient. Who could argue this? No one. I know you can’t even debate it because you hilariously aren’t even trying to. You just say things like, “we won the AFCE” like that has anything to do with the conversation. If you want to tell me that the investments into the WR group over the last 3 seasons have been good, I’d love to hear why. Otherwise, you just want to wave poms poms and you should just quit while you’re behind.
  14. It’s the biggest problem. You can argue he’s done a great job with DL depth every year, it’s doesn’t change that the WR group has been completely mismanaged.
  15. Trent Sherfield had 1 catch for 7 yards in 2 postseason games. Great work Beane!
  16. I have done zero QB e v a l this year because I don’t care about them anymore. But you can’t pass on a QB with the #1 pick in back to back years with a question mark at QB. Even for an MHJ. If you pass on Caleb and he’s a franchise QB, you’re cooked. If you roll the dice and he flames out, at least you took the shot. I agree with you they waited too long on Fields probably but I also think his price that was talked about was a huge overestimate. I get they were talking about a second because of the Darnold deal years back, but Darnold had a lot of scouts and FO’s in love with him and was talked about as the #1 QB prospect for 2 years. Fields was never the same prospect and has proven to be exactly who they thought he was in Chicago for 3 seasons now. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Bears got offered a 4th, balked, and now there’s no deal left.
  17. I’m sneaky starting to think they are gonna keep Fields, let him flame out the first two games, and then it’s Caleb’s team.
  18. Brandon Beane’s idea of assembling a team resulted in Trent Sherfield whiffing on passes in the biggest game of the season which was the last one. Don’t piss on our heads and tell us it’s raining. The WR room has been atrocious since 2020 and got worse every year.
  19. I think that ship has sailed. Washington and NE traded away their QB’s. And, IMO, there’s no chance the Bears don’t take Caleb.
  20. The Chiefs are lucky that their #1 target in Kelce only dictates top TE money which is considerably less than top WR money. They were also blessed that Tyreek didn’t have the same reputation he does now when he was first extended, and neither did Kelce. They had two HoF targets averaging a total of $27M in salary when Mahomes was starting out. Even now, Kelces AAV is only $14M. Buffalo has to deal with the problem in a different way because we don’t have Kelce and we didn’t have a Tyreek. The thing that I and quite a few others have pounded the table for since 2020, since Diggs was still elite and was going to be paid quite heavily, was to continually draft WR’s to give cost-controlled targets to Allen that we could just let walk while Diggs maintained his elite status and elite paycheck. And if Diggs lost a step, you could cut bait, extend out the most promising young guy, and keep the good times rolling. Unfortunately, Brandon Beane forgot about the WR position, which is why we never had a serious backup for Davis/Diggs and why WR has been a need for like 3 seasons now. It’s why Trent Sherfield was put in a position to lose us playoff games because he is barely an NFL player. It’s why two seasons ago, we had to bring in the corpses of Beasley and Brown mid season. It would be so easy to draft a day 2 WR every other year, and keep a revolving door of cheap, talented guys around Josh, and have quality backups for the boundary instead of having Trent and Kumerow and whatever other bargain bums we signed. The Steelers did this strategy for years when Big Ben was still a great QB. They had (I’m blanking on the name)/Antonio Brown making big bucks, and they drafted Mike Wallace, Emmanuel Sanders, Diontae Johnson, Martavis Bryant etc etc. Results varied of course, but a lot of those guys had some good quality seasons and quite a few of them carved out good careers. None of them got big money extensions with the Steelers. Josh Allen has his best season when he had one of his best OL (you could argue 2023 was better) and he had his best stable of targets in 2020. That WR room was stacked. Diggs, Beasley, John Brown, Davis. It has only gotten worse from their because Beane continually failed to spend appropriate assets maintaining it. This was all predictable, and imo, the biggest black eye for our front office that has otherwise done a pretty good job.
  21. Meh, they don’t really hit all that well. Mecole was less than nothing in Jets land. Sky Moore is an actual bust. Pringle has had 24 catches in the 2 years since leaving KC. Mahomes really makes them all.
  22. I mean, you could make the same kind of comments about the Bills organization. We have been a joke for about 20 years straight, and signed our own death warrant trading the Mahomes pick to an in conference team to torment us. You’re saying maybe a rookie S. Who is playing FS in our system, if not a rookie S? Hamlin? That makes our S group very very very bad.
  23. Their QB is greater. Never.
  24. Allen has maybe 2 good year left? I think he’s the classic case of getting rid of a guy 1 year too early rather than 1 year too late.
  25. The haterz are furious that I have taken over the breaking news game. im like @YoloinOhio in his prime.
