  1. I think there’s certainly an aspect of QB’s who can handle more get to do more, like you said. The coaches see how they do in practice. Philosophically, I think we agree. AR has to be allowed to go out there and play his game and make mistakes and learn if they want to see what he is.
  2. And like I said, if their priorities 1, 2 and 3 aren’t “see if this kid can be a franchise QB,” that’s how bad franchises stay bad. If Irsay demands ground and pound so they can come in second in the AFCS, then it’s Irsay’s fault the Colts are a joke.
  3. 4 more passes a game ends up being 204 attempts over 3 years. IMO it’s not as much about the raw numbers as it is who the onus of the offense is on. If they make this “our offense revolves around JT, just make a couple throws and keep drives alive” it will harm Richardson’s development. Just like Josh, put it on him and see what he does when the bullets are flying. It’s why we were pretty optimistic about Josh after his rookie year. We knew what he was dealing with, and he had a good amount of big moments.
  4. 100% DISAGREE. treating the regular season like golf, aka trying to win over develop is how you end up with year 3 of Justin Fields and not knowing what he can be.
  5. It’s not a surprise that of your examples, we have Mr Irrelevant/Dak/Goff who a lot of folks question their ceilings and their ability to deliver in the postseason. When it comes to the elite QB’s of this era, almost none of them were hidden behind a rushing attack in their development, except maybe Hurts (who I sneaky question his eliteness anyway).
  6. It will. They didn’t pay JT to not feature him heavily. He will touch the ball 20-25 times a game and it will stifle their QB’s career. Then before you know it, it will be year 3 and they will still be wondering “is he the guy?”
  7. He learned how to do it earlier. Josh got sloppy because his OL has deteriorated over the last two years. he didn’t just figure out how to run an offense lol. Establishing a running game doesn’t matter for the Colts. Better to let AR throw 30-40 times and win 5 games and stock the cupboards.
  8. This prevents the ball from being in his hands. Josh Allen doesn’t look like Josh Allen today if he wasn’t running around making mistakes his rookie year IMO. this is how bad franchises stay bad.
  9. https://twitter.com/adamschefter/status/1710691846001770597?s=46&t=GGNmxHtuMQWK-ZEccAMZsQ Terrible move IMO. Colts trying to compete when they should be trying to see if AR15 can be a QB.
  10. I believe the CoT still does special services most weeks, and they want everyone to wear these shoes to their next meeting. https://www.ebay.ca/itm/166241351123?hash=item26b4c1b5d3:g:lDQAAOSwAnBj9hXN&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAAwNB4%2Bhqt6Ol6b18hxbedAM1bxix74O5E6I4eUDaELyandRVa3AJJVkOHBxweXFZEe0tLctesJ3Wc8VxjPwuOGYKhTW1ajJdm39YN%2FQKG08EKkFoEQfAMG6CDBNSR3s%2Fg0TwUVj42%2F7U7C1lIHu2OhVIU0cuMfNII1OroGjIAgwuFslB06vy6NNyzte50Q8L7cIYA4OV8sL8PqZ7dtuZifbgX2zapvsBTWAir3AD%2B6wpG5nv%2FNCZhDIG0FyLv7TDUBw%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR9juoa7hYg It was third down. Your memory is horrific, go watch the video evidence of the play. The myth of the slide continues to grow. Next it will be Orton slid before the goal line with no time left.
  11. That’s kinda the point of how it’s low risk…..
  12. The Bears let Roquan Smith go too so they could sign Tremaine Edmunds. Maybe “the Bears thought this was smart” shouldn’t be our criteria?
  13. He had another whiff on Howell in the pocket for the easy sack. I know Howell is actually a tough guy to bring down, but it’s the same old story with Tremaine, sadly. You get paid/drafted in the first to MAKE those plays.
  14. I tried to convince the Bills brass. I was silenced
  15. What do you mean, that was it? It was the second quarter. We scored a field goal. You never know what may happen on a play also includes bad things. Orton gets his head taken off and fumbled and he’d be crushed. You know it to be true

  17. Edmunds sighting? Missed the sack but caught Howell for only a 5 yard gain?
  18. Anytime you get a chance to make a two score game into a two score game, you gotta take it!
  19. It was at 12 min left in the second quarter of a one score game? Hardly a game ending play. Yes, he said he had to go to a meeting and just never came back. Announced his retirement remotely. Teammates found out through media. Marrone era things
  20. We still could’ve went for it. I do find it somewhat amusing that Orton is hated for sliding and living to fight another down, and fast forward near 10 years later and we are all begging Allen to slide and not try run through linebackers.
  21. The most inexplicable game of that era was the Raiders game. I think if we won it, we controlled our own destiny. We had that great defense that shut down a prime GB team. and we just laid a complete egg. Sucks just thinking about it.
  22. JJ Watt unfortunately averaged 7 PPG when playing against EJ. We could’ve went for it on 4th and 1 lol
  23. More like they had an exhausting game against a divisional opponent and have had 3 days in between games.
