  1. We now are back to Mack Hollins as our best outside WR. And our only outside WR. Jake Kumerow, start stretching buddy.
  2. Might as well run the two headed wildcat with Warren and Najee
  3. You edited your post after I responded it lmao. We can all see
  4. @GunnerBill Fields stinks too, if you needed a reminder.
  5. We weren’t good enough to win a Super Bowl last year. Obviously. The Chiefs would’ve still made the playoffs in 2019. They would have still won the Super Bowl. You just proved my point PERFECTLY. Lol
  6. It’s actually round 2 most specifically I think. Zay Ford AJE Boogie hell, even Torrence and Cook felt like “safe” picks even though they were good moves. It feels like Beane goes for the big swing in round 1 then the safe pick round 2 to compensate?
  7. If Allen misses two games, the season shouldn’t be over, even if we lost both games. so what are we talking about? A very specific scenario where we are bad enough to be in danger of missing the playoffs if we lose an extra game or two, but where we are also good enough to win a Super Bowl? it makes zero sense. Backup QBs don’t matter
  8. Why would the Pats cut a kid they just drafted, at a position they don’t have filled, that has been playing well?? think these things through please lmao
  9. This year? 100% Maybe McD gets the rag tag crew to like 5-6 wins. Maaaybe.
  10. What numbers do you have him producing this year? Rice had 79 for 938 and 7 TD’s. Are we thinking Coleman beats that?
  11. I hear ya, but the Pats went 3-1 when he got suspended. That was when Rex shut out Jacoby Brissett. Brady was 39 that season. The end was reasonably expected to be near. I don’t see the value in any investment in the backup QB at this point in Josh’s career. It’s a floor raiser, not a ceiling elevator. When Josh is 34 and we aren’t sure when he’s gonna stop, sure. When we are scraping and clawing to win a Super Bowl while he’s in his 20s? Not for me.
  12. I asked it rhetorically, but when was the last time this happened? The last I can remember was Peyton Manning but that was more the Colts decision because of major health concerns.
  13. Luckily, we have the second best QB in football and as Bills fans who lived through having varying levels of talent and no QB have learned, it’s that having the QB matters far more.
  14. Meh, who was the last QB of Josh’s caliber that walked in FA in the middle of their prime? This isn’t the NBA. I’m not saying it’s impossible, and I think they should do their best to make sure Josh doesn’t second guess sticking around, but it’s pretty unlikely imo. Guys who are franchise QB’s don’t leave the building in general, especially if the team is contending every year. The Chargers have much more to fear with Herbert next extension, and even he leapt at his first extension in that dysfunctional mess. I don’t think Josh will play til 40, personally but it depends on how the rest of his career goes.
  15. Okay. So you watched lots of games of non-Bills teams. Enough to wave off the numbers that had them comfortably in the “pretty good” range and instead call them “average.” What teams in 2023 had better defenses? What teams had worse defenses? Shouldn’t be hard to rank all 32 teams pretty quick if you watched a ton of the games.
  16. These posts are always so funny. how many nfl games did you watch last year?
  17. I gave you your answer. you have been asked 100 times how good this group is on paper and you refuse to answer (because you know that it’s bad). You ask me to play a game you’re too afraid to play? Laughable.
  18. What is really funny is that you think it’s somehow never happened in NFL history that some WR groups have some rookies or new FAs or 3rd year players or new OCs. Just can’t evaluate any team’s WR groups until they are all 8 year vets and been with the same coach and the same QB and the same team. Who knew Mike Evans would be a good WR? It was impossible to tell when Tom Brady got there. Had to see it to believe it. Worthless to discuss their talent on paper. Unless you believe they are worse than the Bills on paper. Then it makes sense.
  19. You can’t say “we don’t know how any of these dude are gonna perform so it’s worthless to discuss them on paper” then “these dudes are definitely than those dudes on paper.” Pick a lane He had an elite defense, like one of the better defenses in seasons and they showed up in the postseason. If we get that, sure I’m not worried about a little step back offensively. Don’t see that coming either, personally.
  20. Counterpoint: Mahomes in 2023 had his worst statistical season of his career. His offense was 15th in points scored. He posted the least total regular season wins of any season he was a starter. If that’s the kind of elevation we are gonna see in Buffalo, we are in big time trouble.
  21. It’s fine because Diggs’ days were numbered as a high-level WR, extension or no. Ultimately, this team is going to have to reset the WR room multiple times during Josh Allen’s career. Between the market forces and crazy contracts, we are not gonna see high level QB/WR combos play 12 years together probably ever again. When I say it’s fine, I don’t mean that they are without fault or blame. The Diggs extension was an obvious disaster, especially because Beane bent his own negotiation rules to make an exception to Diggs and extend him with 2 years left. But once that mistake has been made, there is no good way to rip off that bandaid. Suffice it to say, even if we drafted 3 WR’s in 2024 (imo we should have drafted 2 at a minimum) the 2024 WR group would’ve still looked significantly weaker. It would still be a down year talent-wise with eyes on the future. But they may have eyes on something like a move for Metcalf prior to 2025 along with a second year Coleman and 4th year Shakir. Thats why it’s so maddening some folks won’t admit we are worse lol. It’s the bare minimum of assessing this group.
  22. To support this point, both Beasley and Brown signed to comparable money to Curtis Samuel under the WR market and cap constraints 5 years ago. if the argument is that Allen can elevate Samuel, I tend to agree (he’s gonna have to as he’s de facto WR1) This whole argument has gotten tiresome. It’s clear to me that the plan was Diggs as WR1 + Samuel/Coleman replacing Davis + Shakir + Kincaid as the target group. Which honestly, wouldn’t have been a terrible plan for the group but it blew up in their face when they decided Diggs had negative value here off the field in 2024. So here we are. They took a talent downgrade to ship Diggs out of town. And that’s honestly fine, if he was a cancer and they have plans to rebuild up the room by 2025. But it’s a short term downgrade and that happens.
