  1. I used to catch the cable car at Hyde & Lombard at take it to my office at Market & 2nd - what a great way to get to work every day. I don't have a drink recipe for you, but have you found your way to the North Star yet? You'll love it during Bills season.
  2. I might buy that - does he drive one of these? SKOOOBY
  3. Who are these Big Red Imposters you speak of? No hockey, yet Nebraska calls themselves a big-time athletics school? They got no squash program. We'll kick their ass in fencing too...AND polo
  4. NAH - WE NEED TO HAVE AT LEAST 10 OR 12 THREADS ABOUT THIS FICTICIOUS TRADE!!!!
  5. Yeah, we still need the "screw BU" part to rhyme with "Harvard too" - goes back to the days when all the Boston schools - BC, BU, Northeastern, MIT - were all in the ECAC.
  6. Nonsense. Nothing's over 'til we say it's over. Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Sal left himself plenty of wiggle-room in case he's wrong - certainly enough to keep the Cutler-talk alive. Cook could easily be here negotiating a trade for both Scheffler and Cutler. In fact, I think that's what he's doing - McCargo, Edwards, a 5th-round pick plus one of the two first-round picks (#28) we're getting from Philly (in the Peters trade) - for Cutler, Scheffler, and Denver's 2nd round pick (#44). GO BILLSSS!!!! 19 and 0 baby!!!!!
  7. So we're giving up McCargo, Edwards, a 5th-round pick plus one of the two first-round picks (#28) we got from Philly in the Peters trade - for Cutler, Scheffler, and Denver's 2nd round pick? I like it. GO BILLSSS!!!! 19 and 0 baby!!!!!
  8. Happy Natal Anniversaries!!! Cheers
  9. I'll be cheering for my Jesuit friends as well. As we say in Ithaca... Screw BU, Harvard too! GO EAGLES!!!
  10. How 'bout this? Peters to Philly for #21 & #28 picks - trade #28 pick & Edwards to Denver for Cutler & their 2nd round pick. We end up with Cutler, 2 first round picks, and 2 second round picks. (Then, fire Schonert and Jauron - replace 'em both with... Mike Leach )
  11. Trade peters to Philly for #21 & #28 picks - trade #28 pick & Edwards to Denver for Cutler & their 2nd round pick. Oh, and fire Jauron and Schonert - replace 'em both with... Mike Leach
  12. Has anyone seen... Mike Hunt?
  13. Unless, of course, the Bills are already talking to the Broncos about Cutler and they just forgot to call you and keep you 'in the loop'.
  14. no - we know who our home & away opponents are, but game dates/times haven't been announced yet. nfl schedule comes out a couple of weeks after the draft, i think.
  15. He already said he's really sorry - no foul, no suspension.
  16. Absolutely - I always follow the hockey, lacrosse, and football programs, and have jumped on the bandwagon now that the men's hoops team is competitive. And you're right - Cornell started the season stong, ranked as high as 4 or 5 nationally, but struggled the last half of the season. I wish I could get to more games, but Lynah Rink is a little too far (and too sold out) to make the trek on a week night. Was bummed that the Cornell-Canisius game was in Ithaca, likewise with the Cornell-Niagara games a couple of years ago - would have a much better chance of scoring tix for a game here in WNY than at CU. Here are some sites for you... Cornell Athletics ECAC Hockey College Hockey Screw BU, Harvard too... GO BIG RED!!!!!
  17. Well, the house I lived in did smell pretty awful. (Stale beer starts to smell like vomit after a while, or maybe it was the vomit. ) Senator Blutarski Cornell University Arts & Sciences, '81.
  18. OOPIE DOOPIE! After dropping the series opener to Rensselaer, Cornell's men's hockey team took the next 2 games against the Engineers, eliminating RPI in the best of 3 series. Cornell now advances to the ECAC semifinals against Princeton this weekend in Albany. Link Meanwhile, the Big Red hoops team is headed to the big dance, playing #3-seed Missouri this Friday in Boise. GO BIG RED!!!!!
  19. Goff...without the "L" - link
  20. It's just the calm after the storm - the T.O signing - and the calm before the next storm. The Bills have interviewed quite a few players, and continue to do so. After the big wave of intial signings. things have slowed down with all the teams, probably will stay relatively quiet until after the draft when teams will know what needs they still have. I expect Mike Goff will stop in this week. I think Crowell was scheduled to visit today . I'm expecting the Bills to sign him. (Just because Dawgg said they wouldn't. ) Unless it's a perfect fit for a glaring need (like Crowell and Goff), the Bills will probably wait to see what they still need after the draft, then sign some of the guys they've been interviewing. Meanwhile, all us impatient Bills junkies will continue to need our 'daily fix' of trade rumours and free agent signings.
  21. Mike Martz? You got the wrong Mike - the guy we need is... Mike Leach
