  1. Well, Adrian Adonis is dead (moose-hunting accident, I think) but Lex Lugar's still around and a local boy - his 'rents own Roger's Pianos, Organs, and Clocks, formerly located downtown, then Orchard Park, then East Amherst, now Northtown Plaza, and no doubt could use the money now that his wresting career is over.
  2. arm strength is over-rated... "Whoever's got the strongest arm in the draft, I've got four defensive ends with stronger arms who want to play quarterback. If they're going to put all their eggs in the arm-strength basket, they ought to draft one of my defensive ends." - Mike Leach link
  3. “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results”. - Albert Einstein That said, I expect the exact same routine from Peters/Parker as last year, and the exact same result - another year under his existing contract.
  4. wow - we better draft him earlier, 3rd or 4th round maybe, just to be safe then go after leach in the offseason if jauron can't get this team turned around, and reunite him with harrell
  5. it's "genius's" yes - leach, never at a loss for words, could not have been more effusive about harrell... "I think he's the best quarterback in the draft. People view things different, but all those experts - quote, unquote - that say this guy or that guy is the best, well, they're wrong every year. My opinion is as good as theirs. Yeah, I have a bias toward him, but I believe Graham is the best in the draft..." then leach goes on to say a lot more... link
  6. it's "you're" not "your" and i think trent's kinda weird (jp's comment about brett favre in tight red shorts and no shirt was equally disturbing) bills would be wise to grab graham harrell with their 5th round pick
  7. so now he's obsessed with drew brees's body, instead of dakota fanning's
  8. i want edwards to succeed - to become one the nfl's elite qb's. that said, bills should grab graham harrell with a 5th round pick, just in case edwards flops.
  9. yeah, but managed to get the buyout clause removed, so it costs him nothing to leave texas tech. leach has been in lubbock for 9 years and lately has expressed interest in HC openings at several schools w/bigger programs than texas tech, so he'd listen to any nfl offers. bills should grab graham harrell with a 5th round pick - then they'd be ready for leach next season when jauron is gone.
  10. Obviously a woman of superior intelligence.
  11. Ralph hasn't been 'orgasmic' in decades.
  12. I will try... When excitement like that abounds in Canada, it's certainly understandable that Toronto can't sell out an NFL game
  13. I will likely be there to see Da Billsss beat *Belicheat's bunch of whining cheats... 19 and 0 baby!!! GO BILLSSS!!!! PosLUSZny!!!!!
  14. So how long before they just make it a rule that no one can touch *Marcia?
  15. Yes - that's exactly why no marijuana charges were filed against anyone! I'm still on record - he already said he's really sorry, and there'll be no suspension... GO BILLSSS!!!!
  16. What really surprised me about that loss was that they worked really hard all week and look good, really good, in practice that Friday. It's hard to win in the NFL.
  17. I heard, from sources deep inside Briarwood Country Club, that he's moving to Sawgrass. (But hey, if I could afford a limo and driver to take me to work every day, I might live in Toronto too!)
  18. Why would you think Toronto would do any better at supporting an NFL team than, say Los Angeles, which has lost 2 franchises? Sure, as Canada's largest city, Toronto has a very large population of affluent people who certainly can afford to support a team, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they would support a team. And, as Dean and Lori point out, all evidence is to the contrary so far. People shunned NFL football in LA because of the nightmarish traffic getting anywhere and because there are too many other distractions in LA, like beaches and string bikinis. NFL football is largely considered an 'American' sport that I don't believe Toronto will embrace - like LA, traffic is hellish and there are too many 'Canadian' distractions, like moose hunting and ice fishing. And curling...don't forget how big curling is up there. But, if it takes another $50 million for 3 add'l games to prove it one way or another, I'd be OK with it because the Bills aren't leaving Buffalo as long as RW can keeping 'milking' Rogers Communications and, now that Ralph has shrewdly made Toronto part of his own home market, any Toronto expansion team or other NFL team relocating there would likely have to compensate Ralph for lost market share. Freakin' Wilson - 'crazy like a fox'.
  19. 4 years to go on the current lease = putting it off to the last minute?
  20. Palsied be thy tongue! 19 and 0 baby!!! GO BILLSSS!!!! PosLUSZny!!!!!
  21. Oh...alright. Actually, I'll give you that, and even more - Edwards has shown signs of brilliance. I was amazed when he took the field in the preseason in his rookie year and was able to move the ball downfield very effectively and sustain drives, as a rookie in his first NFL games, while Losman couldn't do sh*t besides go 3-and-out. But the cold weather thing does have me concerned - the fact that he won against Denver, on the road, in 20-degree weather does make me feel better (thanks for reminding me). Also, he did seem to 'backslide' after the concussion, and I don't really want to label him "injury-prone", but it's a concern. I sincerely hope he has his 'breakout year' this season and develops in the NFL's best QB. (The Dakota Fanning thing, however, I cannot overlook. ) 19 and 0 baby!!! GO BILLSSS!!!! PosLUSZny!!!!!
  22. Your obsession with Trent Edwards is almost as bizarre as Trent's obsession with Dakota Fanning. I think The Dean's point is, Bill, that whenever someone posts something like, "Trent's pass to Jackson wasn't good, etc.", your usual response is to accuse them of being "Losman fanboys" or "Losman baton twirlers" and then launch into a Losman-bashing crusade. And you do this almost any time anyone says anything negative about Trent Edwards, no matter how slight the criticism and without regard that some criticisms may be valid. You do realize that just because someone criticizes Edwards, it's not necessarily an endorsement of Losman, and that many of the folks questioning some aspects of Edwards game and pointing out some of his weaknesses also think Losman sucks, no? (And also that valid criticism of Edwards is merely a different opinion than yours, and your kneejerk reaction of trashing Losman every time something is said about Edwards almost makes you look like a 'fanboy' of the glove-wearing Mary from Los Gatos? )
