Where are all the Jason Peters and Langston Walker Haters?
The Senator replied to PDaDdy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Um, we're right here... Jason Peters: Peters down again, this time with knee injury Eagles LT Jason Peters left Sunday's game against the Lions for a second time with an apparent knee injury, but is expected to return. Peters is like the boy that cries wolf. He keeps going down in a heap, screaming in pain, and then getting back up. It fits with his reputation. Sep. 19 - 1:51 pm et -

OTS: Packers & Bills Talking Deal For Marshawn Lynch
The Senator replied to bills_red's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
3 things: 1) Huh? What? Is that you, Holcomb??? (I don't see a '3.5' anywhere) 2) once cannot even come close to targetting specific players until a team knows... ???? Check your syntax, learn to use spell check, and curtail the drunken gibberish; it's quite simple - one cannot come close to targeting specific players until they know who's still left on the board! 3) Any "theory" which purports to understand Nix's strategy but then claims that strategy is based upon unknowable items until the pro and college seasons occur simply is not very convincing. Wow - and you try so hard to sound 'professorial' that I hate to give you a 'FAIL'! (It's quite obvious to any rational thinking mind that I 'purport' no 'theory' - I merely state undeniable, incontrovertible facts! ) -
TIME TO HIRE AN Offensive Coordinator

A lot of people go to college for seven years... link (Get your abacus out and subtract 57 from 94 - that's how far Chan's offense dropped in 1 year) -

Holy crap, we got two???? Never mind then, guess we're all set. (Thank God all two of 'em are totally indestructible - that's why I wasn't the least bit nervous when Levitre went down today.) BTW - Bulaga will be an All Pro LT in 3 years; I never heard of Robert Galley, so I went ahead and asked the Raiders about him - they have no idea either. -

They said he was an offensive guru? Georgia Tech 1999 Offense (pre-Gailey) - #1 in the nation Georgia Tech 2002 Offense (Chan's 1st year) - 57th in the nation Georgia Tech 2003 Offense (Chan's 2nd year) - 94th in the nation A guru, or just offensive??? Discuss... "Damn it all to hell!!! I thought running it on 3rd & 20 would work!!!!" -
OTS: Packers & Bills Talking Deal For Marshawn Lynch
The Senator replied to bills_red's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Still can't figure out why the Bills didn't take Bulaga last April, when it was so obvious we needed a left tackle. (Can't figure out why they didn't take Oher in 2009, either.) But anyone chomping at the bit to rag on the CJ Spiller pick after just 2 games needs to remember that 'The Brentwood Butcher' also struggled mightily his first 3 seasons in Buffalo - Spiller will be a star, and Bills fans will love and worship him. Folks need to understand Buddy Nix's 'Big Picture' - the plan all along was to draft Spiller, trade Lynch for Bulaga, and draft Ryan Mallett AND Gabe Carimi in 2011. -

Don't know that he would be interested (he's said repeatedly that he's not), but Jim certainly knew how to run an effective offense. So does... Mike Leach -

A #12-overall pick that rushed for over 1100 yards his rookie season and over 1000 in 2008 (plus made the Pro Bowl) for an unproven rookie who was a #23-overall pick? Come on...what if we threw in Cornell Green? -

Notre Dame vs. Michigan is going into OT

Heh heh heh... Notre Dame!!! -
Now that's an appropriate combo - next to Keith Richards, Jerry Lee's been #2 on the 'Next Rock Star To Die' List since the the 1970s! (And he almost did die more than once.) Considering the life he's led - the hell raisin', the drugs, the drinkin', the fighting - it's amazing that the guy is still doing cutting albums and doing shows at the age of 75! I almost went to see him in NYC last week, but being that The Senator's been '39 and holding' for 12 years now, I'm saving myself up for the Bills road game at NE* this weekend. Here's a duet he did with Keith a long time ago... Yeah, his Last Man Standing album had its good and bad parts (Kid Rock is always annoying) but some the I thought other cuts were really good (Traveling Man with John Fogerty, Pink Cadillac with Springsteen, Rock 'n Roll with Jimmy Page). Maybe you'd like the DVD better... Have heard a few cuts from his latest and really like it - getting great reviews... Mean Old Man Thanks for the heads-up on the deluxe version.

The QB We Should Really Target.......Ryan Mallett
The Senator replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll wait to see how he plays against #1 Alabama this Saturday, but I agree that Mallett is the real deal and would love to see him in a Bills uniform - problem is that we'll probably have to finish dead last to get him (OK - maybe that's not such a problem after all, if Chan Gailey sticks with Trentie-boy all season), and Ralph will have to be willing to open up his wallet. If the Bills are really bad enough to finish dead last this season, then in The Senator's ideal world we take Mallett with the #1 pick and Gabe Carimi lasts until the we pick again at the #33 spot! After all, who am I to argue with... Mike Leach ??? (Leach said the Heisman Trophy race now comes down to three factors: popularity, playing for a potential national championship team, and what that player means to his team. If there were a fourth factor to consider, Leach said, and the Heisman was awarded to to player who could physically whip the other candidates, he's certain Arkansas quarterback Ryan Mallett -- all 6-foot-6 and 240-plus pounds of him -- would win it. "They talk about having a playoff system. Have a playoff for the Heisman and I guarantee Ryan Mallett can whip every one of them," Leach said.)
