  1. I heard rumblings they're calling it the Vishnu formation but I didn't want to post about it because I think that's the Bills secret weapon this year. How many times did we see McKittrick and Gabe try it out last year? The height difference was simply insurmountable...
  2. Apparently that ties the '87 Patriots for the most Qbs to start in a season. (They went 8-7! But missed the playoffs lol) I can't imagine how a modern NFL team would fair under those condition. The game is so nuanced now that having a QB who presumably wasn't on the roster to learn the offense would be a nightmare. Realistically, I'm jaded from the way that last season ended. That being said, I think the Bills have as good a shot as any team to win the Superbowl.
  3. If your not concerned you aren't paying attention. Diggs feud with Allen has come to a climax (since Josh got with Diggs then GF, a local bartender pregnant, so Diggs retaliated by hooking up with @brittwill and Josh found out the night before the Bengals game). This led the team to cancel practice since everyone was butthurt about the whole situation. The roster is currently in shambles because Beane drafted a TE who's role will be almost exclusively to block when their biggest need was at pass catcher and they spent the money they freed up with the Oliver extension on a washed pass rusher instead of Dhop. On top of the fact they decided to pointedly ignore the offense this offseason and also failed to retain Edmunds, I don't see how you can see this offseason as anything other than an abject failure. I'll be surprised if the Bills win even one game this season.
  4. I was actually thinking that. If he hadn't donated anything it definitely would've been bad look, especially if some reporter asked questions about it. I'm happy this man's family is getting so much support from the community. I don't necessarily believe his standing as a superfan makes his family more or less worthy to recieve these donations than others left in similar situations and I also don't believe there's anything inherently good or bad about Tua for donating. He did what he was 'supposed' to do given his standing in society and the way he'd be viewed for his actions. It doesn't personally affect me in any way so my biases towards the Dolphins lead me to view Tua in a less positive light in this situation. It's my opinion that he doesn't particularly care and did what he was 'obligated' to do by our societal standards.
  5. He didn't. He also could have donated anonymously and had potentiailly the same impact on the late man's family. (Although his donation may have spurred others to do the same). Tua has undoubtedly had more of a positive impact on the lives of other people through his donations and charitable works than myself. In this instance I am of the opinion that he could have done more. It's too bad for him that at this point his brain is made of pudding and he plays for the Dolphins. Otherwise he seems like a great guy.
  6. You're right. I did criticize him. I also virtue signaled in my response too. Just a nice double entendre of internet hypocrisy, while I dig my heals in further in what might end up being a bad take
  7. Never once did I imply that Tua has a 'sinister motive', as you describe. So please do not put words in my mouth. I'm glad that Tua donated to this man's family, it's the least he could do for someone who dedicated his life to being a 'Tua superfan' That being said, while I understand that 10k seems like a lot of money to the average person and it can surely help a lot in most instances, (I would imagine that money will help in part to cover funeral costs, but in all likelihood won't be enough to cover all of them) The comparison to an average person(who makes 50k/year) would be donating $100. If someone was a superfan of mine including defending me to my most ardent detractors and others on the internet. I would more than likely donate more than .2% of my annual income to their family. That's just me. What's actually incredible is that someone has an opinion that you disagree with and you're shocked about it.
  8. Well, yeah.. virtue signaling is all the rage now. How else can the world know I'm better than you if I don't donate to these random people and tell you that you're a scumbag if you don't. If Tua actually gave a damn he could easily donate more than 10k. He's just doing it for the optics like everyone else.
  9. I find it hard to disagree with what Simms said. Why should anyone feel obligated to donate money to the family of someone they don't know, who had trashed and bad mouthed others to gain prominence in the social sphere. It's certainly a tragedy that this man died and left behind a mother and 4 children, but that happens every day... that's the unfortunate pact that we all agree to when we're born into this world, whether we like it or not. I mean if someone on the message board here consistently trashed and trolled you i cant imagine that you'd be so becoming upon news of their passing. Granted he is a public figure and his words hold more sway than ours in the general public, but he's still just a human after all and subject to his emotions like the rest of us. Give it a break Bills fans and twitter.. The big news here is that Tua still has a hard time forming complete sentences based off that brief interview. Umm..I think that this, umm... bodes well for the, umm.. Bills
  10. Interesting perspective. I don't disagree with moss. But, I think the plan is to cycle through drafted Rbs every 3-4 and not pay a big 2nd contract for one. Moss and Singletary never did anything expectional, and that was the problem drafting them. They were solid but had a capped potential ceiling. Then again it could have been part of the plan, since the oline was in rough shape at that point. It's impossible to know exactly how all of these moves affected each other I've kind of adopted the Giants as my number 2 team.. I'm excited to see what Daboll has in store for their future
  11. Also, how many great offenses do the Bills play this season? Chiefs, Bengals, Jets (2x), Cowboys, Jags, Dolphins (2x), Chargers... Not many of these project out to low scoring affairs. The Bills are gonna have to outscore some of the top offenses in the league. But, yeah.. let's run the ball more
  12. Great points! It's going to take some serious defensive heroics to stop this offense. Teams will have to be deep and versatile across the entire defense. Fingers crossed Dorsey can unlock the potential if these players and give us a show we won't soon forget.
  13. Huh.. seems like Harris has been in the league for a while but I guess Singletary has been too (4 years is a long time in the NFL)
  14. *Singletary got paid because he's younger... at worst an equivalent exhange
  15. I'm super excited to see how the offense looks this year and especially the amount of 12 personnel they run vs. league average, considering Kincaid. This is going to be a fun season regardless of outcome. The AFCE is bringing the heat and I'm here for it.
  16. It's better than not swinging at all. This off-season he added 4(!) Guards to the roster. It's almost as if his approach was to fill all of the high priced/priority positions over the course of the first 5 years of his tenure and now Beane is doing the final tinkering to the roster that you're talking about. If you look at the roster as a whole instead of individual parts it makes more sense. (I.e the whole equals more than the sum of its parts)
  17. He's making those tweaks everywhere else on the roster though. He just whiffed on his guards to this point. If they kept Teller and Ford panned out it wouldn't be an issue at all. He swung and missed. No big deal
  18. The added game makes the baseline higher I started this just thinking what would be ideal for Diggs, Davis, and Kincaid this year. I had to shave about 500 yards and 5 TD's from just those three once I realized how ridiculous Allen's line could be this year. The Bills want him to run less and throw more, be more efficient in both, and use the traditional run to close out games and at the end of the half. The main difference being now he has a safety valve in the middle of the field that's 6'4" and can move.
  19. Morse understands the risk he's taking by playing. If he took a vet min salary to do exactly what you're saying then I'm all for it. Otherwise it's too big a waste of resources for something so insignificant to the game actually being played. At the end of the day it's his decision whether or not he wants to take the risk and honor his contract or work on a restructure where he isn't being paid a starters wage to ride the pine. If Bates beats him out for starting center then all bets are off and he could be traded or cut. I don't know, never know. If they get Hopkins they're breaking all the records!
  20. Nothing the Bills did this off-season has given any indication they want to pass less. Like you said if Josh can take what the defense is giving him, and with the added weapons and blocking help, the sky is the limit for the Bills offense. Not to mention Allen had to play through a ucl injury for the second half of the season so lasts years stats are lower than they potentially could have been. With a worse surrounding cast
  21. I don't know man. It's hard to lose games when you score 30+ points. The only thing the Bills did to bolster the run game was add some RBs. All of the guards they added tend to pass block better than run block and the other top players they were linked to were all pass catching options. The Bills are looking to put points on the board RBs and run game be damned!
  22. I wouldn't mind that one bit. I think the focus was to make Josh's life easier and take pressure off his legs. Now comes the worst part of the off-season I just added more options for all of the cowards out there 😉
  23. After the season ended it appears that Brandon Beane asked himself how can I make this team better; and decided that we're going to live and die by our offense. (You only need to stop them once if they can't stop you at all) With 2 projected o-line upgrades, an upgrade to the 3rd receiving option, and more speed and size added to the wide receiver room. The Bills are looking in prime position to do improve what was last year a top 5 offense. With that said, the aforementioned facts got me thinking about how the Bills offense projects out this year, statistically speaking. Based on the past few season averages and some (probably incorrect) projections on my part, the floor for Josh Allen is set at 5,000 yards passing and ~50 tds. I'm not entirely sure what to think of the Bills ground game this year so I'm not going to touch on that. Diggs 115 1400 10 Davis 60 1000 8 Kincaid 40 400 5 Shakir 40 500 3 Knox 50 500 8 Cook 25 200 5 Shorter 10 150 1 Harty 30 450 4 Sherfield 15 200 2 Hines 10 85 1 Morris 10 115 1 Allen 450 5000 48 (P.S. A huge thanks to the resident draft experts here on TSW. I love reading all of your insight and getting to know the prospects better through your work.)
