  1. It's a disappointing turn of events but the defense hasn't had the sacks numbers anyone's been looking for this year, they've still been getting pressure, they just haven't been able to get home with it. Two games to go in the season and it's anyone's game really. Addison leads the charge with 4 sacks followed closet by Obada (3.5), Rousseau (3), Star (3), while Milano and Taron Johnson (2) are tied for 5th. My hopeful projection of DRoY for Rousseau looks like a miss even though he's shown some promise. Epenesa hasn't done much and Boogie had a few flashes. Overall nothing to get super excited about. I think the rotation hurts the overall sack numbers for the individual players, so maybe it will help with the players being fresher for the playoffs. Ed Oliver has looked good at times and Harrison Phillips has shown more run stuffing chops than I think anyone expected. Star in the running makes me laugh since he was such a afterthought as sack leader. I think it's between 3 players at this point and that's Rousseau, Obada, and Addison. I'm excited to see how the D-Line finishes the last to game. End of update. Simple question here guys. Which bills defensive player finishes with the most sacks this upcoming season? One of the two high round rookies, a second year player, one of the vets, the new guy, the under achieving DT, one of the LBs? Man, when I first thought about this I was thinking just DE, but none of them had big years last year and AJ Klein tied with Addison for 5 sacks on the year. Honestly I could see any number of players taking the crown! I'm interested to hear what the rest of you think. Personally I think Rousseau is going to light it up with the tutelage of Bruce, Hughes, and Addison. At this point in their respective careers I think the vets realize they can either help the new kids learn the ropes or they can hit the road. I'm going to put it out there that Rousseau is going to be in the running for DROY, and help turn the Bills D into a truly fearsome unit. Everyone is going to wonder how he slipped through the cracks and Beane is going to further cement his status as a top GM in the league!
  2. Hahah I've never seen I get that for sure. It's really just an abstract thought I had on the potentiality of moving up to secure higher rated prospects this year at the expense of the later picks for the most part. Quality over quantity and all that
  3. What do you find unsustainable about the trade? If anything I'd say it's more sustainable because the players your drafting this year will be better than you'd get otherwise and next year having a 2nd instead of a 1st wouldn't be tragic
  4. I didn't. So theoretically the Bills would have to choose to move closer to the middle of the rounds rather than as high up as the Panthers are. Not a terrible trade off. What I find interesting is everyone automatically shooting it down even though if this trade were to happen the Bills would come out on top by quite a bit (the value of a 3rd and 4th?)
  5. I don't know the composition of their roster but I wouldn't be opposed to it, especially if I have a number of late round prospects I feel good about. Realistically this would be the bare minimum it would take for me to do the deal
  6. Those were my thoughts exactly! Although I didn't necessarily convey them like you did here. It's obviously risky and there's almost a zero percent chance of it happening.
  7. It's not like I said it was some rumor or bound to happen. Just a thought I had about trading up
  8. I'm not thrilled about losing that pick completely. If we do it this way then we still have two 2nds to work with
  9. We'd still have the same amount of picks and with more players coming out. The talent drop off would probably be comparable from the trade down next year to the trade up this year
  10. I don't hate it but then those picks absolutely need to be impact players. If it were for friermuth and then a CB2 whoever drops wouldn't be bad. I'd like to keep a 5th and 6th if possible for a 1t and a speedy offensive player
  11. I mean we'd be moving up in the 3rd too and getting an early 4th. I just feel like there might be a huge drop off in talent and this would prevent us from missing out
  12. The way the draft is looking I think it would be beneficial to trade up in the 2nd and 3rd rounds to ensure the Bills get contributors. How this gets accomplished is a bit of a conundrum.. so I got to thinking how to make this work. The idea that sprung to mind was to trade next year's 1st, this year's 2nd, 3rd, 5ths, and 6th for a 2nd next year, and a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th this year. It would have to be after a few picks go in the 2nd tonight but I think the value is close. It would look something like this when it's all said and done Bills receive Team X (Carolina) receives 39 61 73 93 113 161 174 213 2022 2nd 2022 1st The draft is light on talent this year with all of the opt outs and next year should have higher end players available in the second compared to this year. So the drop off isn't as significant losing a first next year since more (better) players will be available. The likelihood of this happening is probably negligible but a man can dream
  13. I'd love to come away with either Freiermuth or Meinerz in the second and one of Adebo, St Juste, or Melifonwu in the third. Then on day 3 pick up Marvin Wilson, or Tyler Shelvin, then Amon Ra St brown, Simi Fehoko, or Anthony Schwartz. Maybe a safety prospect after that and I'd be ecstatic
  14. I hear ya. I have no idea what they're gonna do this year
  15. Honestly I like the trade down for jaelin phillips but the rest of it is kinda meh and there's no way the draft 15 players
  16. BUF 30. Gregory Rousseau EDGE Miami (FL) BUF 61. Quinn Meinerz OC Wisconsin-Whitewater BUF 93. Pete Werner LB Ohio State BUF 161. Marvin Wilson DT Florida State BUF 174. Benjamin St-Juste CB Minnesota BUF 213. Tamorrion Terry WR Florida State BUF 236. Israel Mukuamu S South Carolina Really like this one. Everyone in the first 3 rounds was great value and really I just liked the way this one fell
  17. A couple trade backs to pick up some picks next year and get some solid developmental prospects and speed 61. Rondale Moore WR Purdue 89. Joe Tryon EDGE Washington 91. Brevin Jordan TE Miami (FL) 93. Kenneth Gainwell RB Memphis 161. Marvin Wilson DT Florida State 2022 CLE 2nd 2022 DET 3rd 2022 CLE 3rd
  18. I mean Allen got a 15 harder last week for it
  19. I sure hope so. He has the right mindset and drive, I could see him being the franchise LT we've been on the lookout for since Jason Peters.
  20. Williams and Stewart was an awesome backfield. If Singletary and Moss can give that type of return no one would complain about that! Those numbers would certainly be sweet. 1500 total yards and 8 TDS I guess it depends on his carries and usage but I could definitely see him hitting it. I'm not sure what that leaves for Moss. If he put up and 600-800 on the ground and 200 receiving this year, to go along with 6 tds, we're looking at a top backfield.
  21. The first four games will probably give us the answer. If Singletary balls out early on the season there's no reason to think Moss would eat into his workload. On the other hand if he looks average and/or Moss just explodes on the scene it might play out differently. Either way I'm excited to see how the backfield looks this year. By the end of the year I think the Bills will be talked about as a potentially explosive offense and a lot of the credit will go to the running game
  22. Personally, I think Zack Moss will end up having a pretty impressive season, not sure if it'll be enough to dethrone Singletary though. Devin really started to come on strong late last year and he could follow it up with a big year. Also, I could see Wade getting some action and breaking off some big gainers not that he'll really take any significant carries away from the other two.
  23. I'm not missing the point in the least we just have different perspectives on it. The NFL as an employer gives it's employees the opportunity to express opinions by grandstanding themselves and making a spectacle of the whole ordeal. People would still watch if there were no anthem or flyovers. The NFL, in particular, and major league sports, in general are completely different beasts than your average employers. The NFL as an organization isn't a fair model for it's employees where players are treated like cattle and drafted by teams they might not want to play for, all for the 'privilege' to continue their employment. The visibility of the platform that these athletes perform on is absolutely astronomical. So yes, while they are still people, the impact they have due to their profession is much greater than almost all other people around the world.
  24. Yes if my waiter or waitress whether lgbtq decides to promote anyone they wish it would not affect the 'quality' of the meal I ordered. Also is the waiter's or waitress', in question, performances being scrutinized by millions of people worldwide.. Realistically yes someone who is world renowned should be held to a different standard than someone who is only truly known by his or her close family and/or friends
  25. Exactly. People like to think these things are mutually exclusive so they can have one without the other. It baffles me how many people equate their jobs/professions with that of an NFL player. They train tirelessly for their entire lives to reach 'the pinnacle' of their profession yet (you) as a middle class (insert profession here) believe that the conduct of you both should be held to the same standard
