I worked at a place that hosted the Thurman Thomas show back in the early '90s. Darryl Talley, amongst other Bills were there too. We were all eating together in a banquet room, Darryl had ordered a small liquor on the rocks, this was shortly after his DWI. A friend of the owners was there & said to Darryl a couple of times hey boy watch it with the alcohol you don't want another DWI again. Then he said hey boy careful with the liquor we need you this Sunday. We went in the back room for a private signing shortly thereafter & Darryl said to me he says "you tell that MF'er if he calls me boy one more time I'm going to bust his ass. 😀 Darrell was super pissed we just kept this guy away from him as much as we could the rest of the night.

I referred to Josh as our point guard in a couple of posts after the Diggs trade. Orlovski stole my metaphor. Can I have an atta boy here? 😀

The only good thing about it for me was.... I was young! Promotion/ Marketing Coordinator working in a restaurant/ bar surrounded by a couple of hundred Bills fans in the Falls. When they lined up for the kick, it was such a good fateful season that year for the Bills. The ruining of super hyped Jeff George NFL debut with the no huddle, the crazy Broncos 3 score comeback in a minute or so, crushing the Browns via shutout, the crazy windy Phoenix game & then 51-3! I never felt so sure about a Buffalo team that the kick was gonna be good & celebrate forever, it was our moment.... and then it wasn't and created infamy ever since. Tough being a Bills fan 🫤, but... we got an ace in Josh Allen, we've got a chance 🫰

Incredible post! I can't really understand it, but unbelievable research by you. All kinds of Bills and football fans on this board. That's why I think it's the best in the NFL.

My inference which I could have explained better was, I think Diggs could have been in his head where if his targets/catches were down, Josh was going to hear about it on the sidelines or in the locker room. When Brady came in as OC, definitely better ball distribution. I think Diggs was a voice in his head that he will not have to deal with this year. Just my opinion. I mentioned in a post a few weeks back, Josh is the point guard. Let him dish and score when needed.

I think the biggest thing we'll see this year is Josh not forcing the ball to satisfy Diggs. If you're open, you'll get the ball. Not to compare to Tom Brady, but he didn't give a fudge. If you're open you get it. He made receivers great, not the other way around. Josh is at that point. Personally...I can't wait to see the distribution between WR, TE, RB & a little RPO. Bring it new Bills!
