  1. I disagree. I think a lot of fans don't want to think that the coaching staff might not be happy with Morse, so they're eager to find alternate reads of this situation. Clearly, the reporters thought it wasn't just a health issue based on McDermott's answers. If Morse were seen as a premier player on this team, this wouldn't be happening. This would not happen if White, Poyer, Diggs, etc., were in Morse's shoes... period.
  2. I watched the press conference live. After the first reporter asked, *two more reporters* asked follow-up questions on the same topic because it was clearly major news. Boy, this thread is proof that we live in a post-truth culture! Why would he lie and put himself in a more controversial position? Your take makes no sense...
  3. McDermott specifically said this was not the reason...
  4. Ahh! McDermott said he was healthy and that was not a factor. Goodness
  5. It would have been easy for McDermott to say they didn't want to rush him back. Instead, he chose the much more controversial truth: it had nothing to do with Morse's health. I mean, he specifically said this, so people arguing otherwise at this point sound really silly.
  6. Dude... McDermott specifically said this had nothing to do with it. And he had every reason TO blame it on health but he still didn't.
  7. Such a high level that it wouldn't be better to start Morse at center and Feliciano at guard? This is an indictment on Morse.
  8. Per McD, Morse was healthy and ready to go but his not playing was a "football decision," not a health issue. When asked, McD did not commit to Morse as the starter going forward. Said they felt the current group had "momentum" and that's why Morse didn't play. No way to read this except they are disappointed in Morse. Pretty shocking development here.
  9. Literally if that ball is one inch higher (Hyde knocks down), one inch lower (White knocks down), or one inch to the right (Poyer knocks down), we win. It was the most miraculous throw I've ever seen.
  10. Yeah, and the Dallas game was "meaningless." Those can still mean a lot to fans.
  11. Yeah, I was 11... watched it at a friend's house, and my brothers and I left to go to dinner at my grandmother's after we took the lead. Our uncle came in later to tell us we lost... Yes, I think you can, if the game has been built up to mean something to you. For example, the 56-10 SNF loss to the Patriots when we were flexed into it and first primetime game in a long time.
  12. I was 9 years old sitting on the toilet listening on Westwood One when that happened.
  13. This one made national, non-sports news though. That is unusual.
  14. It actually was cathartic for me. It puts it in perspective and you realize how there really aren't heartbreakers like this very often. Probably the last one we'll have to live through for a while. No, I'm 32. You must not have read the first sentence of the post. Also, lighten up.
  15. I'm only 32, and my Bills memories actually start in 1994 when we pasted the Dolphins in an ESPN Sunday Night Football game. Since that time, here are my top 15 most-heartbreaking Bills moments. What am I missing? I recall all of these so vividly. 1996 Jaguars (playoffs, Kelly injured) 1998 @ Patriots ("Just give it to 'em") 1998 @ Dolphins (playoffs, Moulds fumble) 1999 @ Titans ("Music City Miracle") 2004 Steelers (miss playoffs, lose to backups and third stringers) 2007 Cowboys (MNF "classic") 2007 Patriots (flexed to SNF at home, lose 56-10) 2008 Browns (MNF Lindell missed field goal) 2009 @ Patriots (McKelvin fumble) 2010 Steelers (Stevie Johnson OT drop) 2013 Patriots (23-21 season opener) 2015 Jaguars (London) 2016 Dolphins (OT, no playoffs, Rex fired) 2019 @ Texans (playoffs) 2020 @ Cardinals
  16. No, the Fins don't have to beat us. They will likely have a superior record straight up. Everyone gets so hung up on tiebreakers, but it rarely comes down to that.
  17. I said all week I got a weird feeling about this game and that it reminded me of the playoff game. It turned out being a true mind fu*k. What do these two games have in common? DeAndre Hopkins (for some reason), and the only two times McDermott's Bills have lost after leading at halftime. Also, the games played out so similarly. The Cardinals were also 0-55-1 when trailing by 14+... Give me a break... And have you looked at the Dolphins' schedule? They're tied with the Bills in the loss column, and their schedule is *way* easier than the Bills' going forward. You'd have to favor Miami to win the division.
  18. The Bills are in trouble. It seems clear we are being outcoached on both sides of the ball. We are going to need a big break in order to get out of this game. This is a game where if it goes on indefinitely, we end up losing handily.
  19. Get out of this game healthy and we are looking at a VERY clean injury report in 2 weeks. Come on, football gods... Healthy and 8-2, healthy and 8-2...
  20. Lol, all four of the questionable good Cardinals are active. Gamesmanship
  21. The loss of Kroger is going to sting.
