  1. Shakir is best in the slot, Kincaid is best in the slot, hell, even Coleman was a fantastic big slot at FSU (when he did it). It's hard to get the guy on the field and sure, I wish the front office saw this better early on. I don't think it's completely hindsight to make that statement.
  2. He could do it, it would just be different. Steve Young and Elway. It would be an interesting science experiment.
  3. He wouldn’t be able to play the same way. He would get killed if he tried. It has nothing to do with how tough he is either. It was just understood that you try and injure the QB when you hit him. Which was largely ok for most of the games existence. Almost promoted. I don’t think it’s a coincidence we are seeing so many dual threat QB’s emerge when you really can’t hit them. I’m sure Allen would still be great and figure it out it just wouldn’t be the same is all.
  4. No way he slides on that play under different circumstances
  5. Agree and my main argument for him is he has no comp player in the history of the game. One of one.
  6. Barry, Walter, Jim Brown. it's certainly a conversation. At DE it's Bruce or Reggie end of story
  7. I mean, the market is deciding what a player is worth. That seems reasonably fair?
  8. You know Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixen Comet and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen But do you recall The most famous reindeer of all? Josh MF Allen
  9. Yup, and as much as I want to give him props, Allen self generated about 21 points yesterday. It's always hard to tell with Josh where the credit goes.
  10. We have not had much edge to this team historically so I like the energy from it. He hasn't drawn any PF's so I assume he knows not to cross the line.
  11. 1. No such thing as a surprise onside exists anymore 2. It's probably because Bills fan recognize what Campbell did as well, they weren't going to stop us. At which point you have no more decisions to make. The mistake was not doing it again after they scored again as we marched right down the field (AGAIN). 3. They have good coaches, this decision has nothing to with that. It was desperate and justifiably so
  12. Exactly. I don't know why this is controversial
  13. I said this in the gameday thread, but I don't think he is ever not talking *****. It's like he's a bobble head doll out there. He's been a great addition for sure.
  14. Under the stairs
  15. Look men, what you did, what you did, it was good. It took, something…. men. You guys showed it. You have it men. You fought as hard as anybody and you did it. You did it and here we are.
  16. Counter Trey, he was so patient, Cook is also patient. Easy for them to hide behind the pulling lineman.
  17. People act like Josh didn’t directly impact the stability of the organization. When everybody talks about the culture that McD has been able to build how do you think that would have gone had he been starting Tyrod or JP or Trent? Winning allows you to build culture. Which is what Josh brought more than anything else to this organization. McD has been able to harness that success and build on it, but it doesn’t even reach that point without Allen. Its a lot easier to say Josh helped McD than the other way around.
  18. This play is symbolic of the entire discussion. Coleman makes a great play for us. You can give him credit. But the play doesn’t happen unless we have a unicorn QB. It was like that so many more times today and in the past. It’s really hard to understand what this offense would be with even a good “normal” qb. Like Goff as an example. Not very good would be my guess.
  19. Not a good dog owner from what I hear.
  20. Not in the same ways you’re sport
  21. You see his troll job at this point? You point out logical stats and views and he takes on the angle that nothing matters because they didn't win. Meanwhile, if you said something about McD's playoff performance he would go, but injuries, and emotional fatigue, and the sun was a degree off what it was projected. It was the wind speed I tell you!
  22. McD came in as HC of the Bills with zero experience on the offensive side of the ball. He has never played or coached even a position group on the offensive side of the ball in his pro and college career. The fact that he was willing to be our acting DC shows his disconnection with the offense. You couldn't do that unless your focus was firmly on one side of the ball. He brought in Dabs and migrated from Dabs to Dorsey. So if you wish to credit him with what this iteration has become you also have to recognize he hired the coaches responsible for what it used to be. Perhaps what it became under them was a result of how little he was involved at that time. When it comes to Allen's development as a QB, footwork, accuracy, intelligence, I give McD almost no credit. I don't see a logical path to do so when it comes to the technical development of Josh the last few years. When it comes to Josh being on this team? Sure, McD had to contribute to that process. Allen wouldn't be a Bill if McD didn't agree with that path. Does it help Allen having the type of environment McD has provided? Structure, discipline? Sure it does. But winning also allows for those things to develop and you really can't separate Josh and our "winning" culture. Without Allen, this is likely a .500 team. If that is the case is this notion of culture building and nurturing the same? Finally, I do credit McD for the transition to Brady and what I think is a more balanced approach. If a time existed where I think McD did influence more I think it has been this year. From my lens, Brady was much more capable of his influence where Dabs might have said, ya, no thanks. We will do it my way. That direct line to Brady is why in part, I didn't really like the hire. I didn't want our OC to be so open to McD injecting wisdom as I knew Brady would have to be. As it stands right now I was wrong in that observation. Brady has been great and any influence McD has had on him has seemed to be very positive.
