Even if you believed Tariffs won't result in permanently higher prices (as they have repeatedly throughout history)the way these were implemented are asinine. The vast majority of these countries are poor, making products that we will never make, and never will come close to purchasing goods the US is making. If you plan on building an empire in the US selling a product that somebody in Cambodia will buy, what the hell are you making? The fattest kid is not also going to be the one who sells the most food.

I know they're liberal sources, but by most accounts Trump will tell 15-20 lies per speech and told over 10,000 in his first term, which is one third of the reported total by these outlets. He focuses on the grand and exaggerated in all explanations. How is it possible to determine what he is actually being serious about? As an example you can't possibly believe the pro life? Yet, here we are.

It is comedy watching MAGA shift it's agenda to the latest talking points defending the tariffs Trump starts out with, the stock market will be booming and Americans will save money on day 1 Now its: -The stock market doesn't matter -Stop buying things -We have to sacrifice for our financial sins -

This is where I’m at. We have no intention of making most this crap. It is inconceivable to think the United States will produce as many goods for some of these poor countries vs what we will consume from them. We give them some minimal quality of life with the exports we buy, our citizens get cheaper goods, what exactly are they supposed to be buying from us? If we have stuff to sell third world countries at the same rate we buy goods from them we have a serious problem in this country. -

How can one think every breath that is taken is a conspiracy by the deep state. That everything said is lie. But poor little Isaiah thinks his Dads mill job is coming back to the US? This population is so easily manipulated yet simultaneously so paranoid and untrusting. -

Wheel your chair outside and get some air. I'm not part of the herd. I take in news story's and news outlets with a grain of salt. I don't find myself overcome with an inability to tell what is real and what isn't real based on who wrote the article. I have a mind that functions independently and can determine BS based on my own cognitive abilities.

I don't understand how your brain can work. Trump can lie about 7000 things in the course of one week, but you can't find the strength to read an article that is informative and accurate because they wrote something that you find dishonest in the past. The cognitive dissonance of Trump supporters will be studied by future generations.

Not hysterical. Aware of the potential impacts of this. Very angry. Is that ok? -

It doesn’t burn anymore. But I think that’s from the cream. -
Imagine a world where the US has the ability to choose the type of jobs our citizens have to work, focusing on safety and higher wage opportunity’s for the betterment of society. Sure, it doesn’t mean we can make everything we buy, but is doing so really in our best interest? Don’t we have the right as the most wealthy nation in the world to not have to ask our citizens to work on assembly lines and clothing factories for minimum wage? Why not let other countries compete over that work? We can’t do it as cheap and if we try the best result is our citizens taking on the extra expense. In the best case scenario we can have a diverse group of suppliers from all over the world competing to sell us goods at the best rates. Then our citizens can be free to consume and purchase the things they want at the best possible prices. It almost sounds like utopia doesn’t it? We only get the good high quality jobs we want. Then we get the best possible prices on everything we want to buy. It’s just too good to be true right?

I also golf and work and it would be hard to do both 7 days a week at the rate he is doing.
