  1. Not me. I'll accept nothing less than free tickets and a complementary dinner!
  2. Very very well said.
  3. In that case.... JP, can I have some of your money and some free tickets to every bills game? Of course, I'd expect no less than 50 yard line seats. Oh.. and complimentary parking... free food... all that. Um.. can you buy me a car, sign a ball, send me a jersey, and buy me a house? Great? Good. Boy am I glad you're hanging out with us!
  4. Remington 870 Express Magnum
  5. ALMOST. Some 10 years or so ago. Buffalo PD. We were pulled over, tons of drinks in the car. Cuffed, put in back of car.. couple of the girls we were with spent some time alone with the cop. Mysteriously, the cop came back and let us all go. They kept the alcohol they found. Wasn't all of it. To this day, I've no idea what went on. I was quite wasted at the time. -Jeff
  6. I get the same feeling crossing that bridge. There's a farm on I-71 someplace just after Cincinnati that has a big Confederate flag painted on the roof... It's always a nice feeling to watch that damn thing fade into the horizon in the rear-view mirror. It's also the first thing to greet you on your way back down, though. -Jeff
  7. Rush, Sean, Savage... all three of them are great entertainers but swing much too far to the right. I'm in *no* way a liberal. I'm simply not as conservative on a lot of issues.. mostly social. There are a few things that those three get into that that shows them blindly following the party line. This Shiavo thing is a great example. I've had to turn Sean off a lot lately as he sounds just as bad as the "awful liberals" he professes so much hatred for... blind following of the party line. You know who I really enjoy? Boortz. Boortz is very entertaining and makes a lot of good points. The important thing is to take these guys as entertainers, not experts. Rush makes a lot of good points, Savage does... Boortz does... hell, even AL FRANKEN has. Take 'em for what their worth and form your own opinions. -Jeff
  8. I agree with you. I've said some harsh anti-southern things in the past, but I still think you're right. The battle seems to be a bit more heated down here due to the larger population of religious purists. To those of you preaching North Carolina.. yes, I'd love to. Wife even has some family up there, I believe in Cary actually. The hard part is finding the job willing to pay relocation! Honestly, my real reason for wanting to get out of the Atlanta area... really isn't the locals or the southern style or anything. There are two... 1. The freaking over population. I grew up in Buffalo! More than 6 cars at a light a head of me means the Bills game just finished or traffic is incredibly heavy. 2. Been there, done that. I've been here for 8 years or so now. I'm kind of sick of it. I haven't "fit in" completely and I still feel like a fish out of water. Not fun any longer, no sir. Time for a change. Be it NY again, Denver, California... anywhere! -Jeff
  9. I hear that! I've got to sneak out for an Interview at 2:00!
  10. Yup, same here. Lived in the shadows for quite the while.. the name does ring a bell.
  11. You're starting to sound like our ol' buddy Spiked.
  12. What's funny is that is the same argument the far right uses as well. In favor of socialized medicine and retirement benefits because they don't have the mind power to think for themselves. In this case, both sides are *right* I'd argue. Listening to Right Wing Talk on the way home from work today. I have to turn Sean H. when he starts talking about that woman down in Florida. The same goes for "The Savage Nation." They were going off on some tangent about how the good Christians ought to barge into that place and walk Terry out. The right-to-life crowd. Of course, the argument was "if the liberals had their way they would put her to death via lethal injection." Politics as usual. Disagree simply because of party affiliation. Rant Off. -Jeff
  13. LOL... I'm on a roll tonight!
  14. I'm getting quite sick of the South, too. It isn't the people or the religion... it's just "weird." BUT.. I'm not ready to go back to Buff... the economy still blows. I need to find a happy medium. Anyone feel like hiring me out of ATL for a crazy high salary, and foot relo?
  15. You know, I used to really share that belief. I'll admit, when I see Jim Bob Jerk-Off in his jacked-up Ford with the flags 'a waving, I get a bit hot headed. Not because of what some say that flag stands for, but because I was jumping to the conclusion that Jim Bob took issue with me personally because I'm one of them damn yankees moving into his southland. Bottom line? Screw Jim Bob. If anyone has a problem with me or my home town, screw 'em. It's because of the influx of "damn yankees" that the government of Georgia can afford to make his truck payment for him. Now.... the yankee jokes get REALLY EFFING OLD after a few years. "Ya'll aren't from here, eh?" I've started to answer "yeah, born and raised." Confuses them... much like "numbers." -Jeff
  16. I'd argue that some humans are much more advanced than others... it's simply not politically correct to recognize that.
  17. You know, I've lived just outside of Atlanta for about seven years now. I have NEVER seen one church/firewall sign read "Bingo on Tues." To whomever said it... unless you've lived in the South for an extended period of time, you have no idea. We're still fighting the "evolution in schools" battle down here. Some bible-thumping nutjob tries to bounce it every three years or so. And... like you all know... How do you keep a Southern Baptist/Mormon from drinking too much on a fishing trip? Bring two! -Jeff
  18. I'd love to move back too, but I'll be damned if I'm going to move away from Atlanta's high paying salaries. I love that town like no other, but unless you've got an "in", it's an economic death trap.
  19. My grandfather taught his poodle how to play a few songs on the freakin' piano. Was on Buffalo TV a few times during the 70's and 80's showing it off. -Jeff
  20. Hehe, 70 in Atlanta today. I love the weather here most of the year... it's the summer I can't stand. Way to hot and humid. By June, I'm ready to kill for a Buffalo summer again. Step 1 Get Rich. Step 2: Buy Summer house.
  21. Many of the girls around here purposely look for guys 23, 24, 25. It's not always the guy looking for the 16 year old. I've noticed that a lot of the teens down here are *incredibly* mature in some ways. That's not a good thing, many of them are growing up too early. -Jeff
  22. Agreed. There may also be legality issues with bartering like that, in terms of recourse on a shoddy job. If you really trust him, you MIGHT consider getting a quote elsewhere... if $900 is less than the quote, might be worth it.
  23. :w00t: You forgot about the letters from Erie County to OBD regarding the lease, make sure you get that in there too.
  24. Hmmm... touche. I've honestly not looked at it that way... good point.
