I had to put my cat to sleep today
millbank replied to HelloNewman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Poem For Cats And God asked the feline spirit Are you ready to come home? Oh, yes, quite so, replied the precious soul And, as a cat, you know I am most able To decide anything for myself. Are you coming then? asked God. Soon, replied the whiskered angel But I must come slowly For my human friends are troubled For you see, they need me, quite certainly. But don't they understand? asked God That you'll never leave them? That your souls are intertwined. For all eternity? That nothing is created or destroyed? It just is....forever and ever and ever. Eventually they will understand, Replied the glorious cat For I will whisper into their hearts That I am always with them I just am....forever and ever and ever. Author Unknown -
The Ravens signed quarterback Kordell Stewart Wednesday, and, should he grasp the offensive system quickly enough, he could be the team's primary backup this Sunday. To make room for Stewart on their 53-man roster, the Ravens released wide receiver Patrick Johnson. Stewart was the team's No. 2 quarterback for all of 2004, but failed to sign with another team after his one-year contract expired. Kordell Stewart

Finally, an Environmental Solution I Back
millbank replied to Alaska Darin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He Comes Back To Save Cat Tammy! Whiskey! Magnolia!" Lambert called, hope starting to drain from his voice. And then, from nowhere, a hysterical ball of brown fur came flying out of a dark corner and Lambert grabbed it up, weeping joyously. "Mamou! Little Mamou!" he crooned. "This is the one I felt the most guilty about leaving. She always senses when I'm going away and gives me the pitiful 'Please don't leave' look." Lambert gave the cat food and water, put her in a carrier and plunged back into the hellhole that was his house to look for the others................ -

You might consider sitting down sorting out for yourself exactly what the problem is you are having that has led to the comment of not fitting in. Have your thoughts and desires together as to what you believe you can do for this employer and if there has been a stumbling block be able to voice what it is and how you feel it could be resolved or ask advice on how it could. I would suggest having a talk with the person who is in control of your situation imo

Says Lance Armstrong: "While I'm absolutely enjoying my time as a retired athlete with Sheryl and the kids, the recent smear campaign out of France has awoken my competitive side," Armstrong said. "I'm not willing to put a percentage on the chances, but I will no longer rule it out." "I'm thinking it's the best way," to anger the French, he told the newspaper. "I'm exercising every day." - really liked the idea of him going out on top , but with the articles in France , perhaps it really would be something if he made it eight, nine or ten in a row. Rice makes roster but may retire anyway

ESPN saying that Jerry this afternoon will announce he is to retire Jerry Rice -
It seems that Denver have told Jerry Rice he will be their 4th receiver. Rice has stated he must be their 3rd , his agent saying "this is a must for him". Apparently he is goiing to decide if he will retire on Monday. Got to be tough for the guy who got cut, that Rice could not have made this decision a great deal sooner. Jerry Rice

The sign behind the bar says "Never Closed." That ain't no lie, cher. At Johnny White's Sports Bar, the weathered oak doors were flung wide open yesterday, as they have been throughout the sweaty days and crazy nights since Hurricane Katrina pummelled this magnificent, gallant and eternally buoyant city. This was, as far as I could find, the only such establishment in the French Quarter — possibly the only establishment in all of New Orleans — still doing business. It's not business as usual, but damn near close to it. An oasis of conviviality in a metropolis that is waterlogged, without power, and officially locked down. Locked down, as in martial law imposed. Locked down, as in short-tempered cops patrolling the city, bellowing out from their cruisers: "Get the hell off the street!" But at the decidedly downscale Johnny White's, a clutch of regulars remain defiantly perched on their stools at the tiny, knife-scarred bar, joined here by an influx of hurricane refugees who have managed to wash ashore at a saloon that sailed through the storm with all its facilities intact. "The beer's warm," shrugs one bearded, funky-smelling patron. "But have one on me." New Orleans Bar

There remain a few incidental elements to be addressed, but ESPN.com confirmed Wednesday night through sources close to the negotiations that the Indianapolis Colts have reached agreement with defensive tackle Corey Simon on virtually all the major financial components of a contract, and that an agreement could be officially struck as early as Thursday morning. In todays news, Alan Pegament article alludes to the two others as being Marv Levy and Jim Kelly, givne the coaches comments regarding Marv over the years as Pergament also stated it is not very likely Marv and the Coach will be on air frequently, there again I suspect many would tune in to hear such a program. (OT) Tips Needed to Break-In New Baseball Mit
millbank replied to tmk-nj's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A very good product for breaking in baseball gloves is called "Dubbin" which you can find at a harness shop near you. Dubbin does a great job in softening leather products as well as protecting them from moisture. Catchers in baseball and hockey goalies use this product. Remember being able to get it from Sam Kenesky , he made the goalie pads for goalies all over Norrth America for many years, from Plante, Sawchuk,Bower, Lumly, Broada, Cheevers, his sons make pads for goalies today. Dubbin is used ot soften and workin the pads.
