  1. Good for you, excellent news.......
  2. Scott Gomez was trying to get off the ice and was hit from behind , and knocked into a open bench door............ The player who did this was suspended indefinitely.
  3. Scott Gomez received some good news in that the thought to be fractured pelvis has in fact found to be a hairline fracture. It will not requre surgery and he will be sidelined about a month. -this is excellent news for this excellent player... Scott Gomez
  4. I have a dairy farm where my wife and seven girls and myself milk at present 90 cows twice a day. Having the family work together in the barn each day is most special as we share these hours of work and then breakfast and dinner, it’s a time to talk about family issues and concerns, we stay close in this fashion. . In the field we grow feed corn, canola, and grass, plus a sugar bush in winter. A hired man and myself do the fieldwork. This affords me to attend to my other business in town of a art gallery, where I paint, sell my original art and do picture framing. This business affords me to go into my office and log on to the wall.
  5. Joe is a articulate young man who will find work in boxing promotion and do Buffalo Proud. As the saying goes, " when one door closes another one opens"
  6. Head up, shoulders back, look him in the eyes , good firm handshake. As stated before use the "we" word and leave the "I" at home. Good luck to you
  7. Brad Riter on Wgr is saying that the decision by doctors meeting with Joe Mesi this afternoon will unanimously recommend that Joe should not resume his career in ring Article about hearing
  8. Yes he went a played for his home State, for about $500.00 a week rather than play in Europe for a few hundred thousand . The truth is he did play on this team because he was thinking about others. And yes the hit was from behind into a open gate a cheap hit by a player from his junior days has been nothing but a goon. Many of you take the anti player business so far you cannot see in many cases very decent and fine young men. Scott Gomez is one them
  9. It's what NHL general managers feared during the lockout - a serious injury to one of their players who had found work elsewhere. Alaska Aces leading scorer Scott Gomez suffered a broken pelvis in an overtime loss to the Bakersfield Condors in Game 4 of the EHCL playoffs on Saturday. The NHL all-star and New Jersey Devils restricted free agent was headed back to his bench when the Condors' Ashlee Langdone slammed him awkwardly into the open gate. Aces coach Davis Payne said prospects are good for a full recovery but like any broken bone, it needs time to heal. Payne, however, was not impressed with Langdone's actions. ''It's one thing to play that type of hockey, to finish your checks, to check hard, punch, slash and facewash people from behind,'' Payne said to the Anchorage Daily News. ''But it's another thing to take a premium superstar who did everyone in the game of hockey a favour by coming here and hit him like that. ''It's absolutely disgraceful." - absolutely terrible news.... Scott Gomez
  10. Here is article about Joe Joe Mesi
  11. Thats what my thought was JP and he very well might work very well together early on , and he sounds like a guy who can come in and fight and get those 6-8 yard needed first downs. If they can pick him up 4th or 5th rounds or undrafted free agent all the power to the Bills, A guy JP has worked with and had some success might be a good thing. I also read that he had some very good 40 numbers since the combine.
  12. Triple double by Kidd and Carter throws in 43.......
  13. How about this guy , JP would know him well enough, perhaps a nice third round pick Roydell Williams
  14. Things is Clements is a known quantity, why draft a player and pay him the same money who may not start this year or ever. Year after year teams that draft high are getting left holding the bag with large contract to players who dont live up to expections. If they are going to pay the money they want it to be for a sure thing, Clements is that.
  15. Get up at 5:00 am , get cows in to Milk. Go to Gallery a do some painting and sell some art and frames, go home and milk the cows, go to Church tonight as this week is revival meetings. Hopefully the girls have made some cookies and nice things to have before bedtime...
  16. What children need be taught and the sooner the better is that the only shame is in a person not doing their best with what they are given those people are losers. Our culture is full of people who are held up as winners , when in fact are the biggest losers of all. It is possible to walk aff the field on the wrong side of a 4-3 score and be a winner and its also possible to walk off on the high side of a 4-3 score and be a loser. A young man who feels such shame at losing to a lower team while many would admire as having the competitive fibre that is needed in real life is in fact being lead and taught in the wrong direction.
  17. It seems a 13 year old pitcher was very upset after his team that had been undefeated winnng its first eight games lost their first game to a team with a one and six record. The young man went to the food stand were his "friend" cut in front of him and teased him about losing the game. The 13 year took a baseball bat out of his bag and first attacked the boys legs and then stuck higher , killing his friend. After the boy was said to be found standing in shock with his parents. Quote from article: The boys had no history of fighting, said Tony Trevino, coach of the Dodgers, which had just defeated the suspect's team, the Angels, when the clubbing took place. "That's what's so shocking and so appalling," he said. "What happened? What did we miss as a community? What did we miss as parents?" Baseball Bat Just maybe from day one as young people the biggest import is doing ones best and that when one has done their best their is no shame, if fact one who has achieved his best is a true winner. A culture that raises people who win to heights of Gods and treats those who lose at games as something to be ashamed of at the youngest of ages ask what as a community and people they do wrong.
  18. The lady who claimed daughters were fighting out of control certainly spent a great deal of time arguing telling the officer she was going to get him in trouble in spite of his almost instant apoligies , it seemed the issue of her getting him was more important than resolving daughters issues. I hope the police looked into her situation also and made sure her call was not a frivalous call , I would have thought she would have shown more immmediate concern for her pressing problem than the officers name, supervisor ect and taking so much time assertng how offended she was. She could have got that later........ It goes to show how one need be professional at all times but this seems bogus to me.
  19. Article says school was never informed at any time this young lady had any special needs. Also Parents were sent forms to fill out and sign such that young ladies care could be paid for which was not signed and sent in . Thirdly the washroom used was in a another room and students did not watch her remove the block. Teacher makes girl unclog
