  1. ^^This is kind of the point... Can't have loses like that if you think the Bills are going to seriously contend with the Pats.
  2. Bills have to beat the Jets and many other teams first.
  3. I think renovating New Era Field would be a huge mistake. Time to move on from the past and into the future. Something this town always seems to struggle with.
  4. Hmm, Tom Brady's April fools was much better.
  5. It was funny IMO. However most Bills fans will probably rage...
  6. I think fans had the same reaction last year. Until the Bills prove otherwise, 6-10 is a good bet for this team.
  7. I don't think it's just all the losing. I recall in the 90's, Bills fans having a hissy if Dan Deirdorf mentioned Buffalo and snow in the same sentence on MNF. Buffalo sports fans were way ahead of thier time with the outrage culture nonsense.
  8. Most of which are not top tier talent, that's the main issue. I think Browns vs. Bills success over the next few years will be a good case study.
  9. The main issue is the perception of Buffalo from pro athletes, no matter the sport.
  10. I mean we'll see how many of the 14 contribute to the team success. The summation of how many of them will be required to equal the contribution of an AB or an OBJ, players who laugh/cringe at the idea of playing in Buffalo.
  11. I mean that is a nice essay and all, but if you don't think Buffalo is way down on the destination list for pro players, you're just not looking at the situation rationally IMO. Listen to what Robin Lehner just said about Buffalo... It's a real situation, not just a negative nelly fan delusion.
  12. Most being second tier talent, and the one who isn't is oft injured. Generally throwing a bunch of second rate bodies at the problem is not the best solution. We'll see what happens. Top level talent rarely chooses Buffalo. Bryce Paup, Chris Spielman, Takeo Spikes, Mario Williams... It takes decades for the Bills to land enough to require both hands to count them, while most teams can accomplish the same in one rebuild cycle.
  13. There does seem to be a rule, most players do not want to play in Buffalo.
  14. Barr wasn't 6'5" on that play though, he ducked down to make a tackle. Both are great plays, I guess I just lean towards the play that showcases passing from a QB vs. rushing.
  15. Hmm, that's a close call. I think I'd have to give my vote to the no look pass. I know it's not as athletic as the hurdle, but it shows more mastery of the passing game, which is what you want from an NFL franchise QB.
  16. What you say is true true to some extent. However I think the NFL would rather remove as many idiots from the stadium as possible so more fans can have a better experience as opposed to just the fans in the club seats.
  17. That was fast. This is a good example of why Buffalo sports teams don't win championships. When they do have talent, they cannot hold on to it.
  18. Might have to stay at home and watch the game on TV then. I would definitely start going to Bills games again if I knew there would be "higher class" citizens seated next to me as opposed to risking being seated near common denominator drunkards who swear like a sailor and spill beer all over the person seated in front of them. In any event, I think no matter what direction they choose, you can't please all types of fans. It definitely sounds like downtown + PSL's is what is coming. I'm sure they realize tailgating is a huge thing in Buffalo, and I bet the Pegula's will do whatever they can to incorporate that to the best of their ability. However, it will never be like the "good old days", it can't. It's time to move forward. I for one do not look forward to a stadium + shopping mall, a stadium + park pavilion's with grille's that are part of the package you can use to tailgate with would be cool, but those pavilion's would not be bringing in extra money like shops would be during the game, etc.
  19. The NFL probably wants a lot less drunk fans jumping through burning tables and throwing *****'s on the field. When I went to Bills games it was to watch football, not worry about getting drunk and acting like a frat boy. I think a downtown stadium + PSL's will lead things towards a more positive direction it terms of the quality of the NFL gameday experience.
  20. I think it's stupid to have a backfield this old. I guess we'll see what happens.
