12/15/24 Week 15 Bills @ Lions Game Post Game Thread
Delete_Delete_Delete replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Exactly, some of us realize Josh is truly generational, and a championship is finally within reach, it’s just up to McDefense not to ***** the bed when it counts. -
Terry is going to have a decision to make this coming offseason when MiDermott craps the bed in the post season like he always does… bc Josh just got engaged to a famous actress who lives out west, and he grew up a Niners fan. He’s always going to say the right thing, but it would be insane to expect him to just keep running it back with Coach MiDermott. On the flip side, if he forces his way out to SF, a team that just got to the Super Bowl with Brock F’n Purdy, him in that Shannahan offense own the NFC for likely the next 10 years. It’d be great if Sean just gracefully bowed out after this year, if they don’t get it done… obviously I hope I’m wrong, but I haven’t seen anything this season that leads me to believe MiDermott has learned from his mistakes.

The game was mismanaged at the end AND HIS defense fell short despite Josh putting up an all time great performance, so in that sense, very much like 13 seconds. The McDefense, despite being full healthy in December had no business leaving Josh and the offense in such a situation in the first place. It’s bigger than just one game, because it just illustrates again, like 13 seconds, no matter how Herculean the effort from Josh, McDermott will always be there waiting in the wings to undo his greatness. McDermott changed the culture here and got the ship on the right tracks but he’s not the guy to get them to the summit. He’s Doug Collins, we need our Phil Jackson because we’re just wasting Jordan…

Maybe they should’ve promoted him…I mean he did make the playoffs with Daniel Jones. Who know, maybe they’ll eventually get him an actual QB down there in Jersey to see what he can really do… Either way, I’d rather not keep playing musical chairs at OC just to keep the same ol’ bend over but don’t break it McDefense that almost always gets shredded by elite QBs, especially in the post season.
-
Just promote Brady. I think the Bills letting him take a head coaching job anywhere else would be a massive mistake. He’s built something special here with Josh, and this Bills defense is same exact bend but don’t break BS we saw with Dick Jauron except McDick has the greatest player of all time running his offense instead of JP Losman…
-
It’s the same BS as 13 seconds, and it’s going to keep happening. Josh literally puts on an all time great performance, again, and Sean Midermott can’t hold up his end of the bargain in a close game, again. I get Terry is likely just content with being “relevant” on the national stage, but the greatest player ever to step on a football field might eventually get tired of having his career wasted with a coach who routinely chokes in the biggest spots. We all know a Josh is an upstanding guy, but at a certain point, how many times can he be expected to just keep running it back? If Midermott’s soft defense costs them, again, in the postseason, I just hope we don’t see Josh try and force his way out… he did grow up a Niners fan, and it would be a lot closer to his future wife. I’d probably stop watching football if that happened, but if the playoffs end the way they have every other year under Sean Midermott, I couldn’t blame him.
-
10-3 in spite of him… what halfway decent coach wouldn’t be 10-3 with Josh, Brady’s offense, and this cupcake division?
-
-
Refs just kept extending the drive for them, the McDefense’s soft zones stand no chance when it has to go against Kupp, Puka, Williams, and the Zebras… that last drive was a joke, and totally determined the outcome of a close game. no way you call that a “P.I.”, the drive should’ve ended right there… then blowing a false start on 4th freaking down, game on the line? no that’s inexcusable and there is no taking a league seriously that lets ***** like that fly when you can EASILY correct this with real time video as they do in so many other instances.
-
Oh good, maybe they’ll kick two fgs this half…
-
C- All of the above
-
Just trying something… man, that Brock Bowers is basically invisible out there today…
-
Did somebody kidnap Justin Jefferson?

This Chiefs team could easily lose any of its remaining games. vs Chargers At Browns vs Texans At Pittsburgh At Denver If Chiefs keep playing like they have all season, and they’ll be lucky to go 3-2 down the stretch. I know it sounds crazy to say, but that offense is nothing special. Considering every defense they have to go up against is formidable to say the least, and three of those games being on the road, 2-3 is very possible.

turns out America likes watching Allen-Mahomes games

It would’ve happened last year in the playoffs if the Bills LB corps wasn’t literally the most depleted it’s ever been in all my years watching this team. I knew as soon as AJ Klein was on the field, trying to play coverage there was no chance of them stopping KC at all that game. Had Bernard been healthy I’m pretty sure this team goes to the SuperBowl last year. Hell, they could’ve probably gotten the job done with Williams and Spector, but AJ Klein was just a bridge too far. -

The Left put themselves in this position. Biden’s age/health were a concern much longer than 107 days ago. There should’ve been a better plan B than “just run the VP who polled like absolute ***** in the 2020 primaries.” It should’ve been a mutual understanding back in 2020 that Biden was going to be a one term president to “right the ship”. -
Yeah but the trade deadline being pushed back the way it has puts a lot more sellers on the market than years past. KC got a WR and a DL, Bills have draft capital, and while I don’t want them to squander it, I think they have just as good of chance at winning the Super Bowl as any other in years past, so let’s put all the chips in the middle. With the way Cooper’s contract is a non issue, I’m sure there is another player or two who could be added with a similar minor cap hit.
