Yeah, there’s also a fine line between being “washed up” and being big enough to perform a halftime show. Many of the all time greats weren’t big enough at their artist peak to perform such an event, but their collective work justifies a big stage later in their career. The freaking Foo Fighters for example, they sellout arenas in 2021, but they were never close to being the biggest act in the 90’s.

You’re right, I just have a tough time not being a little skeptical with his past. I also can’t help but to think he’s very lucky. All this talk about health is ironic because football is an extremely unhealthy game. These guys take a beating (within the special Brady rules), and Brady stays healthy at 44. We can talk about him finding the fountain of youth, but he’s probably taken more of a beaten health wise than the average 44 year old, that’s the greatest irony. I don’t care what you eat, that’s fortunate at any age.

I’ll have to read more about this guy. It looks like he couldn’t stop his balding though 😂 I’m not picking on you. I just think this idea that Brady found the fountain of youth is crazy considering his association with Guerrero, and the fact that he probably got hair plugs and plastic surgery. I just have a tough time seeing Brady as some kind of anti aging miracle.

The quality of hospital food isn’t good, because good food is very expensive. You’re correct, but dietitians just work with what they have. I’m just saying they try to incorporate all the food groups, even if the food is unhealthy. I don’t think too many dietitians are going to encourage a gluten free diet for someone without a gluten allergy, for example. That was the point I was making. I don’t want to get too deep into it because I don’t want to be accused of spreading misinformation as this is just my opinion, but this new “health” food fade sells lots of food as being healthy that isn’t much better than the stuff we assume is garbage. It’s all mass produced, but they’ve convinced Americans with money to eat their “good” stuff, instead of just learning how to eat healthier portions. That’s my issue with the Brady diet, it’s just fade nonsense. Great if it works for him, but it doesn’t necessarily work for everyone.

No, it doesn’t sound crazy, and quite typical. Dietary suggestions also depend a little bit on the individual’s health as well, so it is flexible. Brady’s diet goes well beyond that though, and that’s the point I was making. As far as processed food, good luck truly avoiding it if you don’t have a farm imo.

I’ve read articles that have explained some issues with his diet. Once again, I’m not giving medical advice, just saying what I’ve read. Sometimes experts actually disagree with each other. Take red meat for example, it’s become the hippy thing to say we don’t need it, but there’s still plenty of dietitians who claim we do. If you’re hospitalized, the dietary team is likely to plan well rounded meals for you as a patient. They aren’t going to come up with some fade diet that excludes “evil” food groups. That’s who I consider the experts, not athletes, or suburban serial dieters.

People who don’t believe in fade diets, and think we need all food groups. I’m not claiming to know anything, I’m just saying that Brady’s diet is strange, and a lot of people wouldn’t feel so great with it. Gluten as this demonic thing is dumb if you don’t have a real gluten allergy. If he thinks it works that’s fine, but most of these fade diets are just ways to con money out of people with self esteem issues about their weight.

Rock music might not be dead, but it’s culturally irrelevant. Rock will always be an important part of my life, but I can’t avoid the truth. It’s a special niche, eventually becoming no different than opera or classical, as far as having limited appeal. I don’t think any genre ever really died, but they become a special interest. I can no longer use my interest in rock music as a conversation starter with people my age, the way I could a couple decades ago. The appeal of new rock music is very limited. You still have tons of baby boomers and younger people who listen to older acts, but interest in new rock music is a select few imo.

Yeah, being a great college coach is really the perfect storm of being a great recruiter, finding the right college, and having financial backing from that school. Sometimes that financial backing can even be a little shady. You still need coaching talent, but the variables to success are much different than the NFL.

Should the Bulls and NYS pair with the Bills?
SirAndrew replied to Peace Frog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree that discussion about any idea is great on a message board. I just don’t understand why UB needs a 60K seat stadium. This is a MAC team that’s lucky to attract 20K fans a game. The idea would seem more feasible if this were a big time college program. Was anyone really asking for a new UB football stadium ? -

I can’t believe how much traction this UB topic has gained on TBD. It’s one of the more bizarre ideas I’ve heard accepted around here. NFL teams don’t build stadiums on college campuses to share with mid major football programs. No one cares if UB gets a new stadium tbh. -

I swear some people are under the delusion that UB football is Ohio State or something. Why in the world would UB want to play to an empty stadium ? I don’t even know if there’s a desire for a new UB stadium from the school or the state. The football program isn’t a giant money maker, like a big time program. The deal would basically mean UB getting a stadium they don’t need, while the Bills get to use their campus. It doesn’t seem very logical when UB doesn’t need a huge stadium. UB wouldn’t be getting much out of that deal, while the Bills get free land and income from sold out games. -
Thurs nite football: Jaguars at Bengals

I really like Joe Burrow. I mentioned last season that he reads defenses superbly for a young QB. I’m just concerned he’s stuck with a moribund franchise, and I wonder if he lacks elite physical attributes. I get a weird feeling that he’s peaked. -
Bucs at Patriots - How to Process this Game
SirAndrew replied to BillsfaninSB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Funny how he has a history of cheating, and all anyone can do is bow down to him for his success at age 44. I think it is inspiring, but I can’t help but question things with his history. There isn’t a single voice in the sports world, or even fans for that matter willing to publicly question if something is amiss. It really does remind me of Lance Armstrong’s late career success that no one questioned. With that said, this is the NFL, much like Manning’s HGH delivery, we’ll never get the truth, or they’ll bury it quickly.
