  1. You miss my point. You said he lives in a fantasy world. My point is for Deion and many others like him in and out of sports, the things they want are not fantasies. They make things like this happen. Eli forced his way out of San Diego. Did anyone say Eli or Archie were living in fantasy? Lebron is going to get some GM to draft his kid and then trade him so they can play together. If Sanders wants his kid to play in a warm weather site, he can probably make it happen. It's not an absolute of course. San Diego drafted Eli. They could have played hardball but they chose not to. Baltimore could have drafted Elway but they chose not to because Elway didn't want to play there. Agree. When have the Bills ever not been able to attract free agents? Oddly it's been players like Kelly and Cousineau that were the top draft picks that chose not to play in Buffalo. I don't think weather factored into either of those decisions.
  2. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/39761383/sources-chase-young-sign-13m-contract-saints $13M guaranteed one year deal Injuries have destroyed this kid's career so far. Saints get him cheap on a one year prove it deal. I was hoping Beane would make a run at him but $13M is not in Bills price range this year
  3. Chase Young to Saints on a 1 year $13M guaranteed contract https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/39761383/sources-chase-young-sign-13m-contract-saints
  4. LOL...do you know what career year means? It's the peak or sometimes referred to as the anomaly year in a person's career. So by saying he had a career year last season, it implies that he won't reach that level of performable again. Or that his 4 INT season was an anomaly and he will regress to his prior level of play of 0,1,and 2 interceptions.
  5. Yup that fantasy world of being a three sport college star, then the fantasy of playing at the highest level in football and baseball, and then the fantasy of winning championships, and then the fantasy of getting elected to the college and pro football HOF, then the fantasy of being selected to the all tiem top 100 NFL players of all time, and then the fantasy of raising a son good enough to play major college football, and finally the fantasy of being able to coach your son along the way... Yup he sure does live in a fantasy world...
  6. Colorado was an embarrassing football program before Sanders got there. They had a very good program in the past, but like many other schools ie Nebraska, they just could no longer attract top talent. Sanders can recruit. He cut guys that are bottom tier Div 1 guys especially in the trenches. He makes no bones about it that he is there to train guys to get to he NFL, not make them successful student athletes. At least he is honest about it, as opposed to the lies guys like Saban or Meyer would say.
  7. Two things can be simultaneously true Deion can say something stupid. The city of Buffalo and NY state can do something stupid and not build a dome.
  8. Great move! Terribly underapprrciated player on this board. He plays the toughest position on the defense and does it with aplomb. Until they win the SuperBowl he will have the second best moment in franchise history with his INT TD against the Ravens.
  9. I agree some will not pan out. I just think there is a better chance some UDFA or two will make the team and he will use some of these picks to move around on day 2 and 3
  10. He played reasonably well last year. He will have a good supporting cast. He is a locker room cancer but Tomlin kept far worse guys in check in the past.
  11. I dont see roster spots for 10 or 11 guys after the moves he has already made. 1 RB 1 WR 1 OL 2 DL 1 LB 1 CB 1 S 1 P If I stretch it I can get to 9 and that is taking a punter. Now if they cut Gilliam and want to add another TE or 2 RBs you might get to ten. Add the fact an UDFA is no worse than a 7th round pick and my guess is he makes a max of 8 picks. He will burn the others moving around. If there is not an impact player at 28 he should drop back and get an additional day 2 pick. Maybe even try to get an additional day 2 pick next year.
  12. Glass houses says Todd Collins, Doug Flutie, Rob Johnson, EJ, Tyrod, etc, etc, etc....
  13. I will quote myself... Steelers making another great trade I will keep Chicago on the list as at least they seem to have a plan and seem to be executing it.
  14. Steelers need to be charged with larceny. They just robbed the Eagles and Bears!!!
  15. The facts are true, but speculating on those options is spreading rumors. Beane and McDermott have said nothing to indicate Diggs would not be back. So it is just a fan and media driven rumor. There is no reporting. It's just idle speculation. There are hundreds of players with a year or two left on their contracts. Why is Florio not commenting on them?? If it was reporting he would publish a table of all the players similar to Diggs and in the final year or two of their contracts. Florio is just making these comments to get clicks.
  16. Steelers - Wilson gives them a shot to win the division Ravens - solid moves and doubling down on what they do best is usually not wrong Bears - if I was Chicago I would trade down and draft Harrison. I would give Fields another year with a better supporting cast. Worst case scenario you have made the offense much better and you draft another QB or find one in FA next year. That said maybe Caleb will be the answer. Chargers - they got the best HC available. McD will be gone in a year or two having wasted 2 more years of Allen in his prime. Bills win the SuperBowl in 2024 if Harbaugh is the HC. Bills have done just fine otherwise On the other end of the spectrum, Atlanta invested in the wrong QB and the wrong HC. They will be terrible again.
  17. Well said! The only thing missing is the inherent racism in some of the posts
  18. 100% agree. But I'm talking history of the whole league. Just don't see DT making as big an impact as other positions. Maybe phrase it differently. Where does he rank in DTs all time? Bob Lilly, Mean Joe Greene, Randy White, Merlin Olsen. He's probably not worse than 3rd on that list if not number 1!
  19. First ballot HOF for sure. Where would most put him on top 100 of all time? It's hard because DT doesn't make the splash plays. I'd say maybe somewhere around 50-70.
  20. I agree with this. I think Diggs likes the spotlight a little controversy brings. 100% agree he can't be the lone guy. You get no argument from me there. I would rather he get 90 catches if the other balls are going to Knox and Kincaid. If the other guys are stepping up it only gets easier for Diggs.
  21. Career stats is not the full measure of greatness. Again I can see how people say Reed is the best. Reed was my 3rd fav after Thurman and Bruce. Reed was amazing. Diggs and Moulds are both physically more talented than Reed. Reed had toughness and may have been the best run after catch WR in NFL history. Nobody caught Rice from behind, but nobody in my opinion ever ran with the ball better than Reed. All that said, Diggs has better speed, route running, and just as good hands as Reed did.
  22. Andre was great but never was in the conversation for best WR in the league. He never had back to back 1000 yard seasons. Diggs is better. Moulds was physically better than Reed but had ***** QBs. I'm not trying to take anything away from Reed. He was amazing but Diggs is better in every way except run after catch.
  23. I just read his base is $1.9M. As others have pointed out a "quality" backup QB probably is the same cost. As another posted pointed out, if Beane had done this and wasted 22 draft spots the board would rightly explode. Eagles got fleeced.
  24. When does the Bills brass get tired of McDermott's defense choking in games??? McDermott throwing Diggs under the boss was the lowest of the low for this loser coach. I would take ten Diggs over one McDermott I am trying not to get emotional but the people that what to run Diggs out of town really piss me off. Diggs is the best WR in franchise history and people want to run him out of town. I've said this before but he is the only one to stand up to McDermott and his joke of an OC. I love him for that!
  25. No. You can't trade dead cap. The Browns just inherited the bad contract and got a high draft pick for doing it. They had the cap space to absorb the stupid salary.
