  1. From a timing standpoint and assuming this is a gust front it will be much better in a couple of hours after it passes - right?
  2. No QB is really stellar in bad weather games. The key is to be less bad then the QB on the other team.
  3. I think this is spot on. One of the advantages of effective run first offenses is the deep strike play action pass. This kills defenses that successfully stop the run by overloading the box. In fact back in the day most of the great QB's got their yards and TD's off play action and ball handling (hiding that it wasn't a run) was as prized back then as mobility is today.
  4. I remember that. It was like dude get over it Allen had a bad game it happens. The Allen hate by some of these guys is really amazing. I just don't get it. Allen is personable, talented and not a Richard on the field so what's their beef? It's odd because by his actions and attitude I just don't see what's so polarizing about Allen.
  5. The NFL media desperately wants NE to be relevant again. It's what they've gotten used to over the last 20 years. The Pats are hot and their rookie QB is exceeding expectations. Just listen to a random 30 minutes on Sirius NFL channel to hear the Patriot love. Only the Cowboys match it. And lets face it there is a growing belief that the greatest sports ***** of all time is now within reach: A Tom Brady led Tampa Bay taking on Bill Belchick and the NE Patriots. These people would sell their first born to see that happen. So it's on the Bills to derail the hype train.
  6. Not upset, just annoyed. As an aside, it was Fox with that graphic and if you haven't noticed they seem to have a larger number of Bills & Allen critics then the other NFL broadcast channels. On Thanksgiving day two of the five Fox pregame guys picked NO to beat the Bills.
  7. I disagree. On that play the pass rusher was looking at #45 and modified his rush to avoid the block. By definition that is not a blind side block.
  8. I agree. And I no longer rule out corruption. How an NFL ref could flag that play and then the cretins not hold a meeting to pick the flag up is beyond comprehension.
  9. Damn the NFL and damn the incompetent garbage the NFL puts out as officials. That was the worst call I've seen in years. What the hell was #45 supposed to do. I have come to hate the clowns in stripes.
  10. Day to day I would say that the weather in Boston is better then Buffalo in December. So it's a bit apples & oranges as to where they decide to practice. I doubt Belechik is outdoors if the weather sucks. And why do you say the Bills don't play well in bad weather? They played very well against Houston & KC which was the worst weather they played in.
  11. In defense of McD the idea is to get the game plan installed. And that's easier to do inside then outside in bad weather. Also, was the weather in Orchard park bad enough to mimic what might be happening Monday night? If not then there really isn't much of an advantage to practicing outside.
  12. Okay so let's say the weather forecast is right and Orchard Park is hit with Snowmageddon. Winds are gusting to 55 mph and heavy snow is falling. Can we all agree that there isn't going to be much of a passing game? But what little passing there will be would favor the Bills and their strong armed QB. And while the Pats have a better running game they don't have a stud RB. So the difference could come down to which of the two QB's can run the ball. Under these conditions the safest plays will be QB runs up the middle and around both ends. And which QB has an advantage if the game devolves into this? I would say Allen and it's not close.
  13. It's Thursday and everyone is freaking out by a weather forecast for Monday. Am I missing something here? What's their batting average for accurately predicting the weather 4 days out IN DECEMBER!
  14. Hapless, I read the article and they talk about 10 days but what is the earliest they can clear the vaccinated protocol? What % of players can be back on the field in 5 days or less? If we assume the clock started today then Monday is only 5 days away. So that 20% number is probably way to high if you drop the time from 10 to 5 days - right?
  15. I actually think there might be some honesty in Belichick's comments here. For one, Allen's improvement has been remarkable and I'm sure Belichick sees it. And if you go back to last years draft there's a reason Belichick and the Pats used a 1st round pick to select a QB - and that reason is Josh Allen.
  16. Are you serious here? So the return of Brown, Star and Mongo isn't going to help the Bills? Come on man if you're going to troll you have to do better then this. Yea but Dion was in the hospital with a serious case of the covid. There have been no reports that these two even got very sick from covid. And in the case of Brown, who was dealing with a back/knee injury, the couple of weeks off may actually prove to be beneficial.
  17. Damn, the Bills can't get back to practice soon enough. I mean hear we are arguing over what the weather will be like in Buffalo, in DECEMBER, a week ahead of time. We might as well be arguing about how many fat angels can dance on the head of a pin for all the good it will do us.
  18. Collinsworth just said that the Browns haven't solved the "Rubics Cube" that is Jackson. You know they guy they have intercepted FOUR times, held to well under 100 yards rushing and held the ravens to 13 points midway through the 4th quarter. Seems to me they figured it out.
  19. Is it me or is Collinswrth giving Mayfield more crap for his almost interceptions then he is Jackson for his actual INT's?
  20. Agreed. It seemed bizarre that they brought it up. The question about Jackson isn't really aimed at Jackson, it's about whether the Roman offense can work in the long run. Jackson represents the best overall QB from a passing and rushing perspective that Roman has ever had. If his offense can't get over the playoff hump with Jackson at QB then it indicates to me that Romans offense won't work in the NFL. And in contrast to Collinsworth blathering's, NO ONE in the NFL is looking for a Tom Brady clone. That time has come and gone. Brady is the greatest QB to ever play the game and they aren't making any more of him. And for the record the modern NFL isn't interested in statues that can navigate the pocket. They want their QB to be like Mahomes, Allen, Herbert, Watson or any of the young mobile QBs with great arm talent. In fact look at the last draft - four of the five first round QB's are mobile guys with great arms. Only one of the five, Max Jones, can be remotely described as Brady like in style. Collinsworth is simply delusional here.
  21. I hear you. For me though it's how certain announcers, most notably Collinsworth, are so forgiving of Jackson and so critical of Allen. Do you remember that big game in Pittsburgh in 2019 when we clinched a playoff spot? In the first half Allen threw a pass a bit high for Beasley and the ball bounced of Beases hands and was intercepted Colinsworth trashed Allen for the next 10 minutes for that throw. Look as I type this Collinsworth & Tirrico just played the freaking race card in talking about Lamar! I mean the guy has a 1 - 3 payoff record. There are all sorts of African American QB's that play in the same style as a Rogers or Brees.
  22. Can you imagine the game day thread melting down into insanity if Allen threw 3 INT's in the last couple of minutes of a half? And all three INT's were terrible throws?
  23. Why was Collinsworth constantly talking about Landry being run down from behind as if he was running hard? Landry, who is not a QB, was trying NOT to cross the LOS while making a throw. A big fat D tackle could have "run him down". Collinsworth is just a terrible announcer.
