  1. Simmons wants $10m+ guaranteed. Not happening with the Bills slightly over the cap right now. It's literally impossible from a cap perspective unless they cut like 10 guys.
  2. Offseason trivia Q of the week: Has any Bill other than Allen worn 17? All i can. think of is Gary Marangi, and not even sure of that
  3. assuming Bills are playing a lot more man to man this year with QB pressure, White will need to be replaced by Max as soon as he is ready. Tre was never much of a man to man cover guy.
  4. In a winner take all , loser go home game, Reid/Spags/Jones/Kelce send the Bills home far more than not. Bills have a balanced, solid roster but in a single game scenario you need game wreckers, Bills don't have any of those neither players nor coaches. I see another 14-15 win season and another tournament exit. The key to being a Bills fan is to just enjoy what we have week to week and moment to moment. Tournament wins are nice, but the media has created a impression that the tournament is all that matters. Not sure that is very healthy. I run into Bills fans all the time who now couldn't care less about the season pre-January. Not sure that is a good thing.
  5. Single elimination tournaments are, with rare exceptions, won by the team with the best quality coaching/roster. Josh is great to be sure, but top to bottom from GM through HC all the way down to practice squad, the Chiefs have simply been better than the Bills, not by much, but enough. Everyone can see it. Reid/Spags are the best coaching duo in my lifetime-- the Bills have 1st time OC and DCs; Mahomes / Josh is probably a draw, but we have no one like Kelce or Jones, not even close. Bills can take a meaningless regular season game when injuries at that moment, etc. / home field can make a difference and neither team is opening its entire playbook (esp. the Chiefs), but when its win or go home, having one of a kind talent almost always wins.. Bills do not have one a kind talent anywhere. Just a very good roster and organization top to bottom. Be happy people. We are witnessing the best of the Bills 60+ year history.
  6. seems about right.. ...McBeanes are still killing it
  7. pretty sad episode; hard knocks doesn't seem to work for fans who already know all the back stories; kind of ho hum. I mean, Ray Davis as a kicker is not very interesting, in general
  8. and this board would immediately demand a repeat performance, or else
  9. you realize of course that the entire coaching staff goes as well. you're not just unplugging one guy you don't like. you are willing to ditch Brady, Kromer, et al in the process and start all over again with new schemes, mismatched scheme/players and all the restart that goes with that?? This board cracks me up. Give em a good, even a great thing and they trash it anyway.
  10. Buffalo Joe is a much better athlete (probably one of the top pure athletes on the team by the measureables) and he can play. and he is available. Andreeson is now your backup defensive signal caller. As it should be.
  11. this is traditionally what happens for 4th year RBs who are good.. they hold out. none of this is surprising. His agent is directing his actions. Plus his brother Dalvin is not helping. Beane will wait him out. my grandmother could run behind the Bills scheme. I like Cook, but he's really not that special.. solid between the 20's on 1st/2nd down but thats about it
  12. why? high ankle sprains, if not handled VERY carefully, can linger for months
  13. still not buying that a new stadium was needed, but hey that's just me
  14. agreed. not convinced the defense will be that much different from last year. Lots of takeaways and big plays, but not dominating down after down. Is what it is when you are drafting 30th and no one else is letting their top D lineman get away.
  15. big surprise there. most on this board don't want to be woken until the tournament starts. not sure what they are going to do for 4 months...
  16. not much a WR can do when his foot was hurt and couldn't play.. just that simple. Bills moved on as it would not cost them anything. Frankly, Bills prob would have done the same with Curtis Samuel if it wasn't for the contract commitment. They pretty much had to keep him and rehab him back to playing. Claypool (and Cooper for that matter) they could just cut /do nothing and get healthier or younger bodies in there. NFL is pretty brutal to guys who can't get/stay on the field. There's always somebody else out there ready to go.
  17. once he signed his contract, all the lawsuits start...
  18. well I guess Coleman is good at basketball. yawn
  19. The NFL made a decision many years ago to protect WRs and QBs from getting mauled the way they had been mauled for decades. The NFL opened the doors to a passing league dominated by passing plays during a period when TV/Streaming contract prices accelerated upward. So the way to win is throwing the ball downfield, since the rules encourage it. So QBs and WRs are way more valuable than RBs, and the contracts today show that. The numbers are so massive due to the salary cap, which is driven by what networks/streamers will pay to show NFL games, has increased dramatically recently. Its all pretty simple. Load up on QBs and WRs , as they determine if you win or lose. And you have the salary cap to pay up for them. RBs are good to have, but not essential to winning and losing. Is what it is.
  20. kind of a little guy... always a concern when they get to the NFL and get start getting beat up by grown men
  21. kinda like Jax. all the fans care about is the Gators
